Not only is Bitcoin a new era of currency, it will be our first truly global product... google, facebook and others face issues in certain areas of the world... Bitcoin and other crypto currencies with attain a global dominance we have never seen before.
I think it cannot be the world currency because some country do not agree to bitcoin like china. If bitcoin is the world currency how about other people that want an old money?.
well it is not a big issue that one country is not accepting bitcoin as a currency, bitcoin is a lobal crytocurrency soon, when Chinese come to know about the increasing continuasly the price of bitcoin and it popularity then they will accept it.

Yes bitcoin has started a new era of currency and though the governments of most of the countries may not accept it altogether but they can come up with something similar based on blockchain technology which is the backbone of bitcoin. Bitcoin has shown a way and is a ray of hope for lots of under developed and developing countries to make their economies better and flawless by adopting the basics of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has certainly contributed to the beginning of a new era of economic transformation which noone can ignore.

That is another point. But it is not just China. There are only a handful of countries that have expressed its support for bitcoin. The rest are either not interested or still watching how bitcoin is working. But bitcoin is definitely growing in supporters regardless of nationality.

Well figuratively speaking, in my perspective, yes Bitcoin is the new era of currency. This is because we are entering the digital era, where in everything is being linked into technology. With that, as humans who adapt in the environment, we are also naturally adapting in the digital world. And Bitcoin is one of the adjustment we are making by developing it into a digital currency where we can transact through it. Sooner or later, it may be used as transaction for foods and other consumer products with the help of the internet and the gadgets that everyone has.

Unless government accept bitcoin it will never be the new era currency. It should be recognized and valued by government all over the world to gain its place at new era currency. It maybe the trend but being the trend doesnt mean it is the next big thing without any recognition of different country all over the world.
Yes and the popularity of bitcoins is limited at a moment and not many people knows about it or using it so when when its usage will give tough competition to fiat at that time we can consider it as a new era of currency.
Bitcoin may be the new era of currency but what hinders it from growing and spreading is its nature, being available only on the internet. Since most of the population around the world is in poverty, the government of each country must first address their economic needs in order to them to have access to such luxury. One example here is the continent of Africa (not to offend anyone) which has countries who do not have any access to the internet. The government must embrace its responsibility for their advancement and growth.
