Bitcoins legality varies in different nations and countries. It really depends on a particular country whether its going to be legal or not. Some countries make some rules on how to regulate the use of bitcoin. But there are also some nations that prohibit the use of bitcoin, making it illegal to them. So it can be legal to some countries and illegal to others.
Bitcoin is not illegal thing. Today, many policy makers in the world have found digital currencies like Bitcoin. But some countries think that btc is illegal and block them. But many of them do not make laws or laws of digital currency because digital currencies like Bitcoin. Btc is very good in economic world. Does Bitcoin have to do one currency? Payment instrument? But some countries cannot see that. Or investment assets? But there are also some countries that have legalized bitcoin as a legitimate payment tool for example japan country. I think it is better for us to search the information first before judging something without knowing anything.

Bitcoin is accepted in many countries. And it seems to me that the whole world will recognize bitcoin soon. This will make it popular and expensive. I have not heard of any civilized country forbidding bitcoin.

In different countries in different ways. But in any case, bitcoin should be legal. In the 21st century it is very foolish to prohibit information technology. It is a regime of weak power demonstrating the loss of its influence among its people.

In Russia Bitcoins are currently outlawed. But, in addition, this situation is not only in Russia, but also in many other countries. In Germany, the bitcoins were given the status of "private money". In China, Bitcoins have banned the use of all legal entities. About natural persons, there is as yet no law. In the US, it was decided not to prohibit the bitcoins, but to work out the issue of its regulation and tracking.

It all depends in the country you live some countries accept whereas some not but according to U.S treasury department, using bitcoin to purchase well natured goods and services is not illegal however those who mine bitcoins and trade them for traditional currency on which bitcoins are bought and sold are labelled "money transmitters" and could be subject to special laws that govern that type of activity.
When it comes to taxation the IRS views bitcoin as property of federal tax purposes, similar to stocks and bonds, and federal tax law dictates that purchases must treat it as such.

Although some countries currently accept that bitcoins have currency attributes, most governments do not recognize bitcoin as a currency, but define bitcoin as a commodity. The main viewpoints of governments on bitcoin include: 1 US Commodity Futures Trading Commission ( CFTC) defines bitcoin as a commodity, the same as the classification of gold crude oil wheat. (Phoenix Finance "Bitcoin is officially classified as a commodity accepting CFTC supervision") 2 In the "Notice on Prevention of Bitcoin Risk" jointly issued by five ministries and commissions such as the People's Bank of China, financial institutions are prohibited from intervening in Bitcoin, but at the same time they think: " Bitcoin is a specific type of virtual goods that does not have the same legal status as currency and cannot and should not be used as a currency for circulation in the market. But Bitcoin transactions, as an act of buying and selling goods on the Internet, are commonplace. There is freedom of participation on the premise of taking risks.

The legitimacy of Bitcoin depends on the government's attitude toward it. The Chinese government has already banned bitcoin transactions. They feel that Bitcoin will breed crimes, economic bubbles, and seriously undermine the interests of irrational investors.

If bitcoin is illegal then the whole country should ban this at the first place. Nevertheless some people are using it for their schemes and scam other people.

The reason that some countries ban cryptocurrencies is because they cannot regulate it and put a tax to the people that uses it. Specially with thousands of transactions that is made everyday that is why this some gvernment wants to control it to get a share of the profits, since it is hard to do with the decentralized nature of the crypto they are marking it as illegal.

Bitcoin is of interest to law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, and legal regulators, all of which are trying to understand how the cryptocurrency fits into existing frameworks. The legality of your bitcoin activities will depend on who you are, where you live, and what you are doing with it.
While in most countries bitcoin and other crypto currency is not regulated yet, and since there are no direct prohibitions on its use, it is possible to perform any actions with a crypto currency. While you can enjoy its uncertain status, because, according to the general rule of doing business, which is not directly prohibited, it is allowed. When specific laws on the circulation of the crypto currency will be introduced, then it will be necessary to fulfill them.

Yes it depends on where you live and how the government of your nation regulates it. Good thing that in our country it is being accepted in some retailers as a mode of payment,  and the government is fine with it as long as it does not affect our nations money circulation. Its just that some people are using this crypto currency as as illegal, there were scammers that took advantage to those interested with bitcoin.
