Of course bitcoin is real money. If you can buy shit with it then it's real money yaa.
I trust Bitcoins a lot and it is our real money because after selling Bitcoins we are getting local currencies in real which we feel its rate and the price is increasing day by day like a fixed deposit rates.
whether you think gold is also included money?
because gold can also be sold and get local currency, as what you say
definition more money than that, maybe the money should have government regulation

In my own opinion it is debate. It has features that of money but doesn't quite fit the definition of real "legitimate money". I can assume under a general assumption that losing a bitcoin is similar to losing fiat money. Losing the private keys versus legitimately losing a physical bill.

Bitcoin has been always real money to me since the beginning.
Since i heard for bitcoin i know that it will have a good future as it is unique and the first cryptocurrency

But I'm not interested to consider bitcoin like real money now itself. Because it will make myself to regret. In future after bitcoins get higher value then I will use it as real money for my daily needs. So I'm saving my bitcoin for my future use, until it gets higher value.
I got you what you wanna say, consider bitcoin now as an asset and in the near future when the price goes up as a real money, good strategy.

I perceive it as real money, why would I not? I don't do stuff with it which I wouldn't do with fiat. I gamble with it, I use to and still gamble with fiat, I order stuff online with it, if I see something worth buying i.e. and that's it. I don't invest in Ponzis, I don't lend, I don't trade, which is why I am not bothered with price that much, I buy it, spend it and buy again.

So I use it completely as I would use fiat. I will think about price when and if I have enough to sell.

But I believe it would take some more years to make bitcoin as the real money for myself too. Because, without having full value of bitcoin, spending bitcoin would be a bad decision. Currently I am saving some bitcoin on monthly basis for higher values. Maybe in future I will use my bitcoin's as a real money.

Spending bitcoin wouldn't necessarily be a bad decision. You can always buy it back if you are bullish.
It is only when you spend bitcoin that bitcoin adoption increases.

Yes, spending bitcoin is not a irreversible action. You may get a better price to buy back. Buying and selling is more important to make bitcoin go main stream.

Well, same here.

Fact is most of the users on this forum have some sort of a business with Bitcoin, to them its just another way to make $. Therefore, they don't see it as real money.

can you buy a home with bitcoin ?
can you buy a laptop with bitcoin ?

sometimes i think bitcoin is only asset because i can't use bitcoin like "real money"
bitcoin is only asset

Maybe now not yet, but when the world has fully adopted bitcoin it will happen. As more and more merchandizers accept bitcoin, it will be more and more be real money.

Yes, for me the Bitcoin is real currency and real money, because we have to work hardly to get it as fiat, we can't make acceptable earning without investing money or timing and effort, and also we can use Bitcoin to make trades just like fiat and other currencies

It's real to me but it's not the same as fiat
Those are two different things since I can't spend my bitcoins everywhere

Bitcoin is not real money to me. I used it for investment and sometime gambling but I consider it as a cryptocurrency. Not real fiat.
That's true, Bitcoins are not real we can say because we see it in internet only and its a digital money or cryptocurrency but at the same time you can see that it has a value same like a real money and those who are selling Bitcoins .they are getting real money in his hand.
You're right, but in terms of usability bitcoin already equaling real money.
In my area can rent a car using bitcoin and purchasing requirement has also been able to use bitcoin. Although it can not be original but uses bitcoin money already can compensate for real money

Anything that two people are willing to exchange for a service, or good, tangible or intangible is a form of money in one way or another. Sea Shells have been "money" at one point.

Yes, Practically bitcoin is nothing short of the real money. It can be used as the real money through online as well as in real-time shop using bitcoin debit card. But how people are seeing bitcoin is more important. Some people being bitcoin as an investment and only very few people are using bitcoin as a real money.

Bitcoin is more than a real money to me..
Yup it's right that i'm doing many things with bitcoins that I never dreamed to do with real currency... Gambling, Trading , Investing , earning, etc...
When I started in bitcoins. I thought that it's just a online money to do transactions anywhere.. then slowly and gradually i came to know more deep and deep about bitcoins..
It's not just a online money.. It's gold of internet and Revolution on Internet
