This is purely speculative and that cannot happen irrespective of the fact that speculators (and most of them are pessimist) have spoken to the contrary of what and how the cryptocurrency world is going.
To the new reader and investor. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is here to stay.

you heard that the BTC is dead?? it is a conclusion BTC is alive it is now lowering price in the market not totally dead.   think first you can buy btc in a lower price and  keep it. this is the time that you can afford the price of BTC this is the time to buy BTC.

Yes we can say that bitcoin is goin to be dead because eventually many countries are imposing bann on it and at the same time many social media sites are also blocking contents related to bitcoin digging.

  • Which countries are imposing bans on BTC ?
  • Which media sites are blocking contents on bitcoin?
  • What is "digging"

Oh, sorry , I've already found the answer on number 3. You use google translate to post Angry

Come on, now... bitcoin has been declared dead for how many times, 400+? yet it's still here. It's just the same thing over and over again, old news being brought up into the space and lots of newbie investors panic sell. Lest you forget, the price now is much higher compared last year in january.

By trolls on this forum probably it's over 21 million times.

First of all, Bitcoin was created as a digital money! Not for investment, some greedy people just pumped the price so noobs jumped in like crazy. It's not going to be dead! The blockchain technology will never be dead. There will be ups and downs but the technology will thrive no matter what. So keep calm. And HODL if you've some coins. Eventually it will rise again someday.

In times like this I'm so happy seeing new accounts having at least a clue about what Bitcoin is and keeping a clear head

what make  people feel that bitcoin is going to die,if the price is dropping dose it mean it is the end of bitcoin or is it the first time that bitcoin drop? It is very important that investors understand the volatile market before investing their money or they should seek for good orientation before running into bitcoin investment.

No one can say fro sure so i would recommend not making your decisions based solely upon this thread. If the price rockets up to 20k then now would be a perfect time to buy, if it drops to 1k then now is not a good time.

Dumb question.

That is like saying "Is the Internet going to be dead", because as long as people use it, it will never die.

If anything it is going to grow, we are at the infancy of Crypto and despite the FUD media it is still not understood mainstream or trusted.

Maybe you should stop listening to everything you hear. That would help you a whole lot. By the way, how does BTC experiencing a major correction or a downtrend all of a sudden makes it dead? Phew!
No one can tell you what to do mate, if you feel what you hear is the truth, you really do not need anyone to give you an idea here as you already have one playing in your head.

We cant assure if bitcoin will be dead eventually. Maybe NOT but it is possible. But in my opinion bitcoin will not be dead that easily, our country's Central Bank just recently accepts bitcoin these past weeks and people in our country are just starting to acknowledge bitcoin more and more. All I'm saying is, what's the sense of accepting bitcoin in our country by our own Central Bank if bitcoin will just die eventually. It make sense right? It is maybe our Central Bank knew something that will prove that bitcoin will still exist even in the future.

And how did they think that bitcoin will "die"? Ever since the price of bitcoin is not that attractable, a lot of people are using it and even the price are volatile, they are not panicking by a certain price fall. Bitcoin is volatile, that is a given and it is really hitting us all now.

The answer is in our hands,if we continue to sell the bitcoins the it will die soon so we need to hold as long as the the demand of bitcoin gets increases which increases the price also.

So people or investors just hold your bitcoins to make it alive.

Yes, it can be dead but I cannot confirm yet, but we can see that bitcoin is down trending from past few months adding that many countries like India, and china who have been a major contributor to the crypto market for a long time are planning to ban them. Even Facebook is also against the bitcoin-related services and it had stopped posting ads on Bitcoin and other crypto related ICO's. Even many facebook groups are been shut down by this month and i am sure that Facebook is no longer having any kind of interest towards crypto market at least for now.

i agree, i add that cryptocurrencies havent a fondamental value like the real currencies so it can be dead anytime

This is a stupid ideal i've ever heard, Bitcoin is on the crash doesn't mean it will become dead, it's just a little back-steps for another huge foward in the nearly future but truth traders will deal with this situation by exchanging every BTC they have for fiats.

No one knows the future so any answer would be a prediction of the possibility. I believe that Bitcoin needs upgradation to deal with high transaction fees and confirmation time. Bitcoin has a tremendous potential to acquire the huge micro transactions market but in order to do that, the fee must be less than $0.01 and confirmation time should be less than 10 seconds. If we could somehow reach this target then I do see huge potential for the growth otherwise Bitcoin would remain as a player of international funds remittance industry.
