Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

Yes, I think it's more like because bitcoin uses blockchain technology that guarantees all the privacy of its users, they also provide excellent transaction transparency.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
Business as well as the battlefield. In fact, there is nothing absolutely safe when you invest. Anything that reaches the pinnacle of glory is risky, which is inevitable. And I do not think the government can ban everybody using bitcoin.

Bitcoin is as secure as you make it. If you fail to take proper security precautions then you can kiss your Bitcoin goodbye eventually. It is only a matter of time. Don't believe me? Ask anyone who had Bitcoin from 2010 if they have been hacked/scammed I think over 50% would say yes... Shocked
If we talk about security of Bitcoin account, it defends on how vigilant we are managing our account. We must be very aware on the safety and precautions on how it could be hacked or scammed by modern day internet thieves. Anticipating threats in any kind is one of the most effective way of securing one's property. We must be very aware on the insights of bitcoin to protect and secure our account.

I think yes. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your bitcoin. The use of a bitcoin wallet with a better security can better ensure its safety.
Love that fact, bitcoin security really depends on you, if you make your bitcoin secure by strong password then no one will ever thing to hack into your account, but tell me one thing what if someone stole our laptop and he know password of laptop then he will reach to your wallet easily, so you should also mention this fact hat keep your laptop secure by strong password.

Is bitcoin secure ? I can only giggle at such a sentence, let me try to put into words how secure it is.
For a SHA256 system that you know it's output and want to 'guess' an input which is 256 caracters long binary code you will need to guess and check 2256 guesses  which is so freakingly big.
That is 232 * 232 * 232 * 232 * 232 * 232 * 232 * 232
And 232 is actually near 4 billions so i let you imagine.

Yes, bitcoin is really secure and it depends on your carelessness so your bitcoin may hack. But banning the bitcoin may have a period of time to process because first the government must make a law about banning it. And that law will under to different process.

I have tried many ways that bitcoin is so secured and can't even hacked by the hackers out there that trying to steal many bitcoins. Although it depends now on us on how can we handled all are accounts safely to hackers. We need to be alert like many fake domains now trying to copy like MEW (myetherwallet.com) domain

After a segwit yesterday, Bitcoin increasingly confident to be at the front as a very secure and reliable currency. No one can argue that security becomes the main capital. Millions of people are very confident with it, therefore Bitcoin is increasingly popular and widely used as payment.

I'm not sure if segwith served us in the area of security. If yes, please explain.

As long as we store our bitcoin is the wallets where we hold the private keys safely, the bitcoin security will be high. Its algorithm doesn't allow computers to break our passwords. Some people use hardware wallets for high security, but I've never tried it before. I trust bitcoin's security.

In reality the doubts of its security has a high possibilities to be compromised because of its popularity at this time. I can't see much hackers that targeting BTCitcoin for it is what they used also and if they will make such move they also be affected and i really do believe that they will choose to save the existence of bitcoin than destroying it.

When we're talking about bitcoin security, we really do depend on the wallet that we've used, I do trust my wallet provider that's why I don't have a doubt and think much about negative rumors about hackers and there like. If your using hardware wallet I think it would be better that way, so take one step ahead and learn how to do it. It is sometimes the consequences of your actions that may lead to vulnerability of your accounts. So be vigilant enough not to engage suspicious sites.

discussion about bitcoin security.
Bitcoin security is no doubt, see the history of bitcoin from 2013 until now. There is no occurrence that hackers take control of bitcoin security.
Do you know why bitcoin prices are so expensive now? Because bitcoin is very safe and more and more demand from consumers.
Yes bitcoin is secure and become the most popular cryptocurrency but there are many people who are trying to steal some bitcoin by making a fake website that can get your identity from the website that your are wanted to open stay away from these and analyzed every website that you are encountering because there are possibilities that you may be hacked by anonymous people who wanted to steal some bitcoins.

Bitcoin is very secure, unless you get scam carelessly by fake or mirror sites. As Bitcoin is decentralised therefore there is no place where hackers can hack. And Bitcoin wallets are very secure as if they weren't they would be hacked long ago.But anything isn't 100% unhackable even NASA and Pentagon were hacked few times,so you never know but now it is mostly secure.
I also think that there is no doubt about the security of bitcoin. bitcoin is in fact a very much secure currency and hope that it will remain as secure forever for investment as well as to be use as currency.
yes no doubt that bitcoin investment is too much secure, I think one can invest money in bitcoin without any doubt, I am sure that those people who will invest money in bitcoin right now will surely get a good profit after some time.

Of course it is. But it's depend something into you. Cause if your password and Personal key is safe then nothing to worry. For more secure your bitcoin you can use windows/Linux/core wallet. Don't use exchange site (3rd party) wallet holding coin for long time. You don't know about those site future or someone. Hacker will not do anything until you safe your personal key. Good day... From my own experience from using Bitcoin for some years now, I believe it is truly safe. It won’t be easy for the government to ban Bitcoin; even if it is declared illegal in your country, you can still use it carefully and secretly without anyone knowing about it.

Bitcoin is decentralized, and it’s true there are people using it negatively. But I don’t think there is a way to ban them, though it’s quite possible to ban their IP address. But even if you do, they might change their IP.
Bitcoins is secure. If you understand the difference between holding BTC in an exchange and  holding BTC on a private key. In the later case, your BTC is safe even if the exchange gets hack until or unless somebody gets his hands on your private key.
Some bad people misuse BTC but FBI is hunting down such fellows. You can take the example of Ross.

bitcoin is safe, you can do any kind of transaction with anyone without revealing your identification. you can do illegal transactions but im not telling that you should use bitcoin is illegal works. it is also safe because your money is stored in a safe place as long as you have your private keys or verification codes indicated in you wallet.
No doubt, Bitcoins provides us with the highest security possible and safety to our lives. But, every security can be breached because no system is safe. I used the word "system" and by it I mean exchanges. Security issues have less to do with the bitcoin protocol itself, and a lot more to do with the people and services handling and storing these bitcoins. Bitcoin itself is secure.
