Don’t expect any government to support a technology that affects them directly in the monopoly they have over printing the currency their citizens are using, bitcoin is the future, but there are many technologies that disappeared for lack of support and adoption.

Bitcoin in terms of monetary supply is not much better than gold. Both of them have limited supply, Bitcoin is limited due to an algo behind it, gold due to natural scarcity of easily available metal. Regarding the speed of transactions, this is not a problem either since no one is going to transfer gold directly as a means of payment. A gold pegged currency (or a basket of such currencies) would do just fine...

Regarding speed of transactions, gold is as quick as bitcoin? I thought people did transfer physical gold to each other, unless you're talking about the old US notes that were actually backed by gold, weren't gold coins used? Assuming they did (which I'm not completely sure of), then bitcoin is (obviously) light years quicker. Not to mention I don't it's hard to argue that payments will all be digital in the future.

Did you read that part about "no one is going to transfer gold directly as a means of payment"? Physical gold can be used for settling accounts between countries, say, once a year. Settling accounts (if you don't know what it means) comes down to calculating the net position of each counterparty (in this case, the countries that trade with each other), i.e. who owes whom exactly and how much after accounting for all imports and exports. It will be either a foreign trade proficit or deficit in respect to each trade partner (barring the obvious case of imports equaling exports)...

These old US notes you refer to are known as gold certificates

I think that every time the Bitcoin can have fall in value, there would be ideas such as this one that Bitcoin would one day die and be gone for good. Well, no one can be sure of what can happen in the future but I do hope that Bitcoin will stay alongside with the top fiat money we have. I don't see Bitcoin to completely replace the fiat money though.

Exactly. We saw what happened when it went from ~$1300 to ~$200, we supported it, we grew it, and we rebuilt it over the course of years which has led us to this point with an even stronger bitcoin.

to me i think that there is no doubt about this that bitcoin is our future money. the new generation trend is toward online trading, business and even shopping, therefore they can prefer bitcoin for their online activities, therefore we can say that bitcoin is really the future of our money.

Gold is now only an asset for the traders and jewelry for the females and even the traders are now leaving gold for their trade and coming to bitcoin it means that bitcoin is taking over the world and will the best asset and currency.

Well, I think that Gold will just have that kind of value, it's really different from bitcoin. It's another investment that you could add. Both are very different things, it will just depend on what you're going to believe in.
