Yes I think it might be. Bitcoin facilitates online gambling so much. It can improve it in many ways, especially security wise. The only problem is government, will they all let this slide is a question.
On the other side it's hard to know who is gambling with Bitcoin so the 18+ thing goes through the window. Also because it's desk easy to gamble with Bitcoin, addictions can become much more wide spread and harder to control.

That's true but it still is quite annoying to use. Gamblers want to bet instantly, but with bitcoin they need to have to use a trading platform to get coins, which may take days if your bank is slow.Now let's say you want to gamble and somebody offers you a chance to bet in Bitcoin but you don't have any or you don't have enough.

But that is going to be the problem. With its anonimity the governments will intervene and it will become illegal to gamble with bitcoin. Kind of why some online bitcoin casinos can't accept USA residents anymore.

@OP Firstly it will have to gain a legal currency status in major countries such as USA and right now it seems to be going the opposite way, which is why most of the BTC Casinos are now not accepting players from the US because of legal issues and therefore for bitcoin to get accepted in casinos worldwide it has first get accepted worldwide and I don't see that happening any time soon but when it does Bitcoin will be the favorite currency for online gambling because of it's convenience.

It's not future, it's the present of gambling. Gambling is still illegal in most places, but you can't censor internet. You can't ban anything. Bitcoin is the present of internet gambling!

It depends on some perspective. Some said its illegal to gambling so they use bitcoin to make him anonymous, it has some benefit to them but for legal country I dont think this have benefit to them, because make you invisible or not your country wont jail you for this reason so this is still a polemic
As of now itself people use bitcoins mostly for gambling purpose it self because difficult to track these transactions and more secure. In future it may become even better 
Since bitcoin still quite new industry rather than our normal currency, I can say bitcoin is future for online gambling. With some advantage that only own by bitcoin will make it more popular and easier to gaining people's interest
