At this moment in time  only choice from above is bitmaintech  since they are the only one selling gear.


I currently have 6000 usd in orders with bitmaintech.

and if Avalon / cannan had new gear for sale I would buy 6000 from them.

Bitfury has no new gear and I would not have enough money to buy from them.

So if you want to buy today you only have bitmaintech to buy from.

The big problem they have over the years is if your gear breaks they are poor at helping you get it going again.
The good is they get it on time most of the time.
They gear works most of the time.

So if you buy 6000usd  like I did I know that it is more like 6200-6400 in terms of real price due to slow repair risk.

With 3 pieces for 6000 I am hoping they are all good and the premium of 200-400  does not come into play.
I have order 40k in gear from them  more then 50 items since dec 2013.  every item was delivered most on time or early a few late.

1 item was doa  and it was a struggle to get repairs.
1 item was a very poor performer and its was a struggle to get a partial refund.

in both cases i did get  my repair/replacement >>> about a week but a large miner did the replacement not bitmaintech ,bitmaintech would have been 1 month

 and my partial refund >>took about 6 or 7 months

So I rate bitmaintech better then okay to buy gear from.

We bought 900 antMiner S7 from them without any problems. Except maybe customs asking WTF.

You're suggesting that a company is implicitly unethical because its Chinese, not only is that racist but nearly every example of mining companies has shown the opposite.

You paid in USD for that transaction, and apparently didn't pay enough and had to send BTC to cover the additional USD value. That is something totally different, they have to manually approve your transaction and will get to it eventually. If you send an email you will probably get it resolved faster, but you should really have sent the proper amount, unless of course you are saying they changed the price or failed to pay the wire transfer fees.

Bitmain is reasonably legitimate.

 Doesn't mean they don't ever have issues - but ANY large company has issues sometimes.

 They're a TON more legitimate than a majority of folks that have claimed to be "miner manufacturers" - though that is a VERY low bar to clear.

As far as dealing with a company in China; I'm saying the North America consumers rules don't apply there. I'm talking about ethics here, not ethnicity. Jeez. So by dealing with Bitmain IN CHINA, you have to deal with their shitty ethics, support and services and tough luck if they rip you off. (personal experience = they don't care about you or respecting your consumer rights)

I'm not sensitive at all - I pointed out that something really dumb he said was really dumb. While using no evidence he stated that Chinese were implicitly scammers while the actual facts show that its us 'westerners' are the ones to have churned out 99% scam companies.

Dubious ethics like potentially selling used PSU's with their s7 LN...and their hardware is definitely overprice. I think it's around 4 months ROI and that's if the difficulty stays still. They're the best though and they may be the only people left in the future so cuddle up to them

There is no such thing as overpriced, it's all about supply and demand. It's not even as if a Miner is a must have product, ownership is driven mostly by greed and prospect of making an  easy Buck. If people think they are overpriced then stop buying and they will reduce the price.

Bitmain WILL ship what they sell (they are overpriced,but what canyado),if you buy from them & not a scammer posing as them.Check here BEFORE you buy from anyone!!!!!

All USA based mining hashware providers were scammers, eg BFL, Cointerra, Hashfast, etc. America is no longer competitive due to massive regulation, taxes, and socialism. I would be more skeptical of an American company than a Chinese one.

Extremely racist to classify any country like that.   Bitmain is very trustworthy I would say going back looking at all the companies that have come and gone.  So far they have always delivered the miners I order.    Even the little known L1 they decided not to do they gave us refund plus some if I remember right.  So have always came through and continue to sell to consumers.

Look at so many other companies like BFL (which was US), Hashcoins, TerraHash, Insert ton of pre-order companies here X.  Bitmain look very trusted if you go back though history as far as I see providing so many generations worth of gear.

The points do stand that Bitmain has dubious ethics and rip-off prices, but they also reliably deliver on their promises and don't advertise vaporware. They're currently the best option.
