If you join and promote a legit bounty, it will worth surely but if you join a scam one, you will not get a penny. You have to research before you join a campaign and decide which one is better. I like btc or eth paid campaign because token bounty is not reliable and sometime waste of time only.

During times like right now, not many bounty hunters are participating in campaigns and my personal opinion is to have good chences even right now. You will receive much more stakes because a low number of hunters will enroll in the campaign. Lots of users are giving up and saying it's not profitable anymore but I'm not same opinion.
Collect tokens right now, you'll receive much more compared when more hunters join and HODL your tokens of a good project you'll see a multiplied price of your token in a few years and can be happy to sell at a huge profit. Times like this should be used to pick up tokens and sell when price is multiplied.  Smiley

Bounty is still worth it ! But it is not like what is it used to before just like the hype in 2017.. If you have not invested in that bounty it is still worth it because you have zero capital so whatever the price of the crypto will be in the end it is your income (with no capital) so it is still worth it.. Even if it is hard to find a legit bounty today still it is worth it as long as you get the income that you deserve without investing your own money ! ^_^

I can't give a convince about profitable or not, but in 2017 I took parts in three different bounties and got three different tokens with a large amount. But until now the three tokens only have a price of $ 30, and I'm really disappointed about that. Within one year, I was only able to get $ 30 even though I still had the opportunity to increase the price, the third crypto currency market rose again. Honestly, until now I have not received a news that a bounty token campaign that provides big profits for bounty hunters, most of them have the same fate as me.

You got a bit of bad luck! In 2017 everything was prospering... The bounties I did then used to worth at least $100 of tokens.
I already lost the faith that it's going to be the same today.

Just take your time to go through the bounty sections and lay your hand on any of the tokens that a currently promoting their project and try as much as possible to get a good project because most of those projects turn out to be scam and failed ICO due to the fact that they lack the ability to stand the market after their launch.

Yup! I'm going to study well the projects, and only invest my time on the ones I believe, but without much hope of value.

Yes, it is, if you choose correct campaigns. Bounties are famous right now. Then most bounties are getting a large number of participants. Then I'm not sure social media campaigns give profitable rewards. I think signature bounties are profitable because one member can wear only one signature per campaign. The next thing is you can participate Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns too. Those campaigns are paying via bitcoin. If you can make high-quality contents, you can participate in contents campaigns, because some bounty managers will be rejected low-quality contents. Then high-quality contents creatins can get profitable rewards. My personal opinion is doing your own research about the project before start your works.

Thank you for this topic. I am new here and want to participate in Signature bounty (if I find the way how to get at least 1 merit). I think that pay in BTC is the best way for new people to get crypto and experience.

It's all about return on time invested. If you are spending some time on those bounties then you are also using resources like electricity, internet cost and your skills. If you are getting a certain amount from bounties which is more than the value of resources invested then it is definitely worth it. However, if you are getting less amount as compared to that of the value of resources invested then it is not a wise option to continue.

It really is a good move to think that you can't make your profit in campaigns as your main source of income. Can't just participate in a campaigns that we didn't study first. As of now, out of 100% only 1% are successful, some campaigns are already in market and doing campaigns again to promote their project again and you will surely earn profit.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

I'm guessing apart from Signature, there is no point in wasting my time.

I'll still be participating in some campaigns that I believe have future, but not expecting much value from it.

Good for you for having that kind of mentality. Do it as an incentive but don't think about that it will be able to give you decent monthly profit. It's good as an extra source not a main source.

Good luck.

Things are still mostly as they were before, but there are now fewer projects with bounties out there as a result of the bear market I'm sure you know we are in right now. I'm sure there are still good projects out there, but bounties have continued to become more and more saturated and rewards have begun to go lower, but if you're looking for work in bounties, they are still there. Just don't expect to be making as much as you were earning before the bear market started.

It is still bear market at moment, why not move away attentions from trading first and wait until the market recover first. I agreed with comments above, some bounties are waste of time. It is better to research before start with new project. I think if you are newbie with trading, bounties is a good way to learn and get coins for free with low risk.

If you are in a good bounty you will need not to worry about that. But it's so hard this days with numerous scam or fake bounties around I would still say bounties are still worth the while but you must do your assessment correctly

Definitely bounties aren't as profitable as it was in the past and with a reduction in the hype around the bitcoin and cryptos in general, with the fall in price of the bitcoin etc
Most of this issues affects and is still affecting most bounties as their tokens are most times worthless, and the issue of scam,is another lingering negative effects on bounty campaigns
Bitcoin paying bounties provides it's participants with a high security rate as regards either scam or lack of payment and the rest, but it's mostly for those with full member rank and up(and you're one of them)
ICO bounties most times is down to luck, you could be lucky to get a legit one that does well and pays well, bitcoins paying bounties could actually be your best option if you actually can get in.

My question now is if bounties are still profitable?
I used to do Twitter, Steemit, Telegram and Signature bounties, with a good monthly profit. Is it the same now?

Let me break it down to make you understand. Participating via twitter and telegram bounty is now a waste of time since their payout is very low compared to previous pay.  This is due to the huge number of users now involved and bear market effect.

Steemit bounty who had been profitable but the bear market isn't happening matters. Participating via this method might give you decent amount of tokens but don't think they'll be worth that much.

Signature campaign are still quite profitable if you join a decent paying bitcoin campaign. As you can see almost all decent forum posters are wearing ChipMixer.{ MIXING REINVENTEDsignature that's an example of a decent paying campaign.

There's no 'yes' or 'no' answer to this; as it really depends on your situation. Let's say if you're making $200 a month off bounties for instance, and you're in a 3rd world country, then probably yes? If you don't have any other income source. But if you're in the United States or some rich country then you're probably better off doing something else. It really depends on you.

with a good monthly profit.
If you're thinking that it will support your daily living then you should start looking for a real job that can compensate you semi-/monthly. Check the altcoin discussions and look for complains about bounties.

You'll see the same complains about these folks that most of the bounties they've joined were scam and never paid their stakes/rewards for months so, assume it that it's not worth it anymore.

Thanks for your answers. I already saw that nowadays it's different.

What I was wondering is if it was worth spending the time...

Excluding Signature campaigns (the more valuable) how much can I expect from a bounty?
Can I hope for $100 token worth from Twitter bounty?

I'm having trouble to identify the overall values of the campaigns I'm seeing

We don't know the answer. Joining bounties is similar to gambling though, you really don't know if the project will be a success or not. Majority of them didn't even reach softcap target last year so obviously, it's either participants are not being paid, or your tokens has no value whatsoever. Goldluck though finding bounty campaigns that's worth the time and your effort.
