Since the controversial buy of Twitter by Tesla and SpaceX boss, Elon; it was obvious that he moved from one form of "restructuring" to the other. Firstly, he began by shipping off key workers, to reducing workers pay cut and enforcing extra work hours amongst other things.

Things have taken another turn as it looks like the Chief Twit is running low on his initial energy as he has considered stepping down as CEO via a post on his account suggesting that a poll should be taken to that effect.
Elon has never been known to be apologetic for his actions or seek opinions(I stand to be corrected on that), so what's with the new pattern?

 https://punchng.com/elon-musk-may-step-down-as-twitter-ceo/
From the start, Elon's goal of buying Twitter got a lot of cynical feelings from many people, especially the old Twitter management, and when he just took office as CEO, he immediately made a major overhaul of Twitter management.  i'm sure he will keep his promise to put a new CEO on Twitter and hopefully it will make Twitter one of the best social media in the world again.

Musk has said that twitter might fold and die.     Cool
Eh, I think you got that wrong, bruv. What he said were along the lines of "Wasn't Twitter supposed to die?" [1]
Surprisingly, he was able to silence critics by staying afloat despite prophecies that the platform would fall. Heh, more surprises in store for us, yeah?

So it is just social propaganda? But you have a point that he may step down as a CEO but still, he is the main owner and influencer on it so it is just the management is new. I think he steps down because he is too busy to manage twit since he has Tesla and SpaceX that needs his brains and effort. I've also heard that he is still in control of the servers and storage. So still he can access that data on it and maybe the CEO is kind of a puppet on him

Controlling of other businesses like Tesla or SpaceX is not the reason that musk can't control Twitter but he is building the hype that Twitter can't grow with. Twitter is a social media company that is sharing opinion and the opinion of people matter in the business. If he can't wait to hear other people advise he may not succeed with Twitter. He need to hear the voice of old staff and not to sack.

The poll is useless. If he wanted to step down as CEO, he would have already made up his mind and had the next CEO lined up, using this poll as a formality. Had he not intended to step down, then it seems to me he won't abide by the results of the poll.

It does seem very likely that he had already decided to step down, and that the poll is simply yet more publicity.
The question is, who would want to take over, given that Musk is still, of course, the owner?

I think he will simply put his own man in the CEO chair, but still will be the main influencer in Twitter. Why work himself, when there are a lot more to achieve and earn.

In fact, the poll does not mean that is really going to resign as Twitter CEO. He might be trolling everyone again. Look how much hype has has created around Twitter with that tweet.

I see most of the people hated him at least that's what they proved when they created that poll on Twitter to save his future income with it, he needs to take an action on letting them know that he will gonna stepping down as the main boss but in reality, he takes the call behind the back of the newly admin. This is only my two cents but when you come to think of it, that's not far from the truth since this whole changing of CEO is obviously nonsense because he doesn't need to do it anyway.

I think Elon really knows how to run a company. I guess he's already done with the change that he needs to be done with Twitter and that's why he can just hand it over to his next puppet to play as the CEO of the company.

While he said about controlling about software and monitor, that's all he has to do since he's going to be higher than a CEO.

He's not a newbie when it comes to running a company and props to him with that but he's also known as a troll.

I missed this news, I just checked the results, and 57.5% support him to resign, if he really follows that poll, then he failed to lead Twitter. While Twitter has struggled since he took over, I think it's normal to have such a big staff change, and it takes time to get things back on track. I don't think he's resigning because he's not a good fit for Twitter, I think he's got too much work to do. I found an article saying he spends much time on Twitter and forgets about the other companies he runs, this could be the reason.

He takes it on the poll because he really needs to get out of Twitter he leaves the decision to the Twitter community he doesn't want people to think that he cannot manage Twitter anymore he wants a way out because of the impact on his other companies his major investors are now asking if there's still a CEO on Tesla they think that Musk has abandoned Tesla, Tesla's stock was hitting 50% down for over 52 weeks last year he is the richest man in the World now he is relegated to the number two spot, because of this, he really needs to go back to Tesla and just hire someone who can effectively manage Twitter.
Elon may not be really surprised about Tesla stock value fall because he himself admitted the share is overvalued on many occasions so he knows how to play the game better than us especially the social media users like Twitter community. So he may step down from the position but maybe in a few weeks or months later he may regain the position whenever its needed like something important event is coming near or election or something he can make millions out of it

He has announced that he is leaving his position as CEO of Twitter after finding the right person for the position and will take over the role of running the software and servers team. He does not need to regain the CEO position because even if he resigns, Twitter is still his own company, and Elon is still the largest shareholder of this social network.

Is it the Snowden that was recently given citizenship by the Russian government after he allegedly exposed the doings of the Whitehouse?? Wow! A huge promotion, if I must say. But my question is; will he really be the CEO or has he been installed just to a ceremonial head??🤔🤔🤔
This guy, Edward Snowden will never be able to become the CEO of Twitter, the US government will never let that happen. This is just a unilateral offer from Snowden, and I'm pretty sure Elon will never accept.

When Elon Musk acquired Twitter, he got off on the wrong foot. He wouldn't have been eager to fire practically the entire Twitter crew. He will have to deal with some tension as he combines Twitter with other businesses (Tesla and SpaceX). But as it stands now, he needed someone to manage Twitter for him. both the hiring of new employees and their welfare.

I just think, Elon Musk just needs to chill out and loosen up a bit. I support the move for him to step down

Musk seems to have found the perfect replacement. Is this for sure? Or are there some things that need to be ironed out first?

BREAKING: Elon Musk to be replaced by Edward Snowden as Twitter CEO with a salary in Bitcoin

In a bid to find a capable hand to oversee the operations of Twitter, Elon Musk posted that he is searching for a new CEO. The billionaire stressed in his post that he is looking for a new CEO who can make Twitter thrive. In response, Edward Snowden, the American and naturalized Russian computer scientist, expressed his interest. However, Snowden responded by saying he would only take payment in Bitcoin. In the meantime, Musk has yet to reply.

I believe he learns a pretty good lesson from every re-structure and workers reduction he did on Twitter because he posted a tweet that "Those who want power are the ones who least deserve it". In another way, most of these billionaires believe in hiring someone that's good than them for the CEO position while they work from the background and he wants a fresh start for the company could be the reason why he feels some of the workers in the Twitter team are not needed.

Elon Musk has already accepted to step down, but with the way things are going and how Tweeter lovers are urging him not to quit it seems like the love they have for him can change his mind to stay.
Some say it's because of him (Elon Musk) that made them open an account with Twitter and if he steps down they'll close there account, like seriously, are they for real? The crowd is not always right you know.
Who's the best to be the head of Twitter between these two? Musk or Snowden?

Twitter is hemorrhaging money, and it Elon must be looking at the sunken cost as justification to keep it alive. I've said early on there's a good chance it collapses if it can't lower its debt and turn a profit.

How do you know, do you have data from the accounting department?
