I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

Then bet when you don't feel playing lol Cheesy

There's no explanation why that happened. Emotions will just dictate what will be your next step to do after a win or loss.

Just take it as a grain of salt as you might think that will always be the case.

Gambling is more about luck and your emotion can prevent that luck to come especially if you gamble out of control and more of a greed so I think they are quiet related.

If you have a good emotion towards gambling, you might attract luck just like in the Chinese feng shui, if you’re happy and more on a positive vibes, good luck will come to you, well this will depend on your belief as well.

If you know what gambling is, you will know the answer. Here are the keywords, "chance", "luck".
The emotion here got another role aside from gambling itself, emotion can be used in how you do gambling like the way you place bets or how you bet against the odds. That's why emotions in gambling are also important.

Your experience of why you lose if you are focus and on the other hand, you are losing when focus, luck plays a role but that was something you can't control. In terms of emotions, 100% it doesn't have to do with why you win or lose.

Just take it easy. There's no such thing as your emotions "literally control" your gambling result. The one it affects instead is your behavior and that leads to win or lose.

The relaxed mind is influenced by money and profit, less. Focusing trends with money matters. It can impair judgement. The way driving under the influence of alcohol can. Pressure, tension and emotions can also come with focus. Which can decrease achievement.

Its been said that having a winning mentality is crucial to winning games like poker. Having the right mindset and attitude can translate to making the correct choices. It dovetails with the law of attraction. Which many successful athletes and celebrities cite.

Approaching gambling as a way to make money is usually a losing mentality for me. Making the correct choices is the path to winning. Money and correct choices are two very different things. Many bad bets will look like good bets, if they're viewed purely as opportunities for profit.

Emotions is basically the factor that leads everyone to lose their bets, and also I experienced that situation during my teenage days betting on lottery. The more I wanted to win, the more I was fascinated to gain lucky wins. That's why don't take this situation as a joke, control yourself before gambling makes you out of self control.

You would need to be a bit more specific. I assume you are speaking of gambling games like poker, black jack or other that actually require you to do something other than spinning the wheel or the like. It is know that the best performance in a wide range of tasks for humans comes when the difficulty matches the skill and the stress matches a feeling of enjoyment. Something too easy will kill the performance and something out of reach will also throw bad results. You may think what´s your case.

That just coincidence, try to gamble longer and you'll see you are not winning.

Gambling jokingly is not good, it will defeat the purpose of gambling which is to enjoy and win at the same time, but enjoyment should be emphasized more as we gamblers do not have the edge over the gambling sites, so we better gamble for fun to win.

Maybe you should gamble more, learn from it and always try to improve, and aim to win in the long run. By the way, if you are gambling on games that are luck-based, then I would say it's based on luck only.

It was just on timing thats why you do able said so that you are lucky when you are joking around on playing and turns out to be unlucky when you do get serious.
Why not try for yourself on joking around and lets see if those results would be the same on long term aspects? If it is really attached to emotion then lots of
people would act out joking because they do know that they could win if they do have that kind of behavior which that one alone would already be a bullshit
thing for you to believe on.Dont easily believe on things like these because everything is really random.

I would say it's more of luck but it's not common amongst many gamblers. I have a friend who gets in the mood and once this mood comes on him his predictions are always accurate but once he tries to force himself into prediction he just messes the whole system up. I would just say luck plays out atimes during gambling and some persons are highly gifted with special gambling prediction ability that gives them more edge in winning games.

Pure luck nothing-less and as mentioned by most members above that external things cant really influenced your winning chances in gambling which simply does implies that everything is random

luck cant really be affected and just go on and off randomly on each person and you can only determine that you are lucky when you are already winning but

knowing it earlier or before? No one on this world would able to know that.

You won't win or lose if you don't bet and if you don't intend to bet but you bet, that only means that you're craving to gamble.

It's all just a coincidence, there's no connection of the result as you gamble with what you think and what you think. You're just thinking too much and probably have connected things as you gamble. It happened to me too whenever I think of the opposite but there's no connection and I just think of it as a mere coincidence.

Pure coincidence.

Also, you might feel as if you are luckier when your expectations are lower. When you are expecting a profit, you tend to exaggerate losses in your mind a lot greater than the profits that you generate. Whereas when you are expecting nothing, any profit you make feels much larger.

The RNG rolls don't care whether you feel good or feel bad. There is zero point trying to get into a care-free mindset before you bet.

When I'm gambling with a prepared mindset, I do analyze and try as much to reduce my risks of losing before betting, and do back off after 3 or 4 loses in a roll. I have also noticed high winning rate when my mind is free from previous heartbreak of bad bets.

I think that you try to find a relation in unrelated things (from what I know the result of a bet is not related to the result of the previous bet0 and I have a feeling that you try some sort of martingale, at least when you are careful. And martingale is simply bad.
And yes, your mind should not care either what has happened in the previous bet(s).

It is pure luck...
yeah, that sometimes also happens to me. Because when the time I was prepared, I was more intense and got nervous, it is something like that my emotion is pulling me down, and can't even use my mind to focus on the game but rather on what I feel.
But if I didn't gamble seriously, I'd often win. I really don't know how that is be going to happen but I think it was emotion that causes us to lose.

I'd say its quite universal you will more likely win when not chasing or desperate to have the odds go your way.   This is why its best to leave a game on your own terms and come back often rather then continue playing not even enjoying while just praying for one more win.   Never chase a bad game is best, have a system and plan to continue or not just come back and try luck another day.
There is definitely a winning attitude observable which is emotion but in a controlled way is best.

I rarely play a pure luck game in an online casino like rolling the dice and anything like that, but I just want to ask is there any other kinds of preparations you're making in terms of betting to such game like this except emotional and mental preparations?
Because IMO even if you have prepared mindset before coming to an online casino If you're not lucky then you'll probably lost no matter if you're emotionally prepared or not.

In contrast with sports betting, preparations in your betting means analysing the game in general, from homecourt advantage, players, injury reports, possible line-up change, coaching and staff, and betting odds. You'd literally make a research prior to the game.

This is the hardest thing you could do because you don't care about the consequences or maybe you are just playing around because you have nothing to do anyway. It's all about the luck though because no matter how you focus, the odds still there that won't gonna change the fact that you were just lucky, and when you try that again, you just somehow lose the game. that's how it works, pure luck won't matter no matter what you thinking.

Pure coincidence!

All is random because luck cant really be influenced by external factors and this is where people do really mind off much on where connecting things that it seems that it do really influenced their luck

and the situation you had mentioned is the example. Neither you do play seriously or not then odds or chances of winning is just the same but i do much prefer on playing on non-serious

way yet you would be enjoying the game and doesnt really mind off that much about winning and its really way to less stressful.

yes, it is just pure coincidence and luck. it is not about how you feel on that game. but i agree, it is better to play without expecting anything from your bet, that you are just using your extra money and not a borrowed one. because that will give you a different approach on the bet. no pressure if it is your own money but if you just borrowed the funds, that's when you feel you need to be serious and you have the mindset that you need to win. you feel agitated all throughout the game if it is not your funds. that's not a very good way to enjoy the game. so better use your own money and enjoy the game.

When you are "prepared" you probably use strategy and you're very careful what and how you bet. Since betting is basically governed by random, there's a good chance that when you're prepared you're doing it wrong.
On the other hand, if you're relaxed and enjoying it, when you lose you don't count it (remember it) as bad as it was, and when you win... but luck is luck no matter how you play.
Maybe you start actually playing for enjoying it (just keep in mind to gamble only money you afford to spend/lose); it's the better way and if indeed you get easier wins like that then why not?
Although I'm still trying to observe myself if I can know the factors that are responsible for my winning and losing at the same time. When I'm gambling with a prepared mindset, I do analyze and try as much to reduce my risks of losing before betting, and do back off after 3 or 4 loses in a roll. I have also noticed high winning rate when my mind is free from previous heartbreak of bad bets. This is magical to me which I'm always skeptical about.
