Depends on your purpose of gambling, when you gamble just for fun as a part of entertainment so it will not wreck your life because you know your limit and know how to control yourself.

Pretty much exactly what I said in the "if you were rich would you gamble thread", basically its meant for entertainment purposes and not for monetary gains. You can't rely on it to make your regular mortgage payments.

But I believe that there are people out there who are really lucky when it comes to gambling so somehow gambling changed their lives but not fix their lives. That's why they are not stopping to gamble, but if you are always losing then you are not lucky so stop gambling.

Like many said, luck is not the key in gambling, luck can only be appreciated when you are gambling for fun, but if you are gambling for the sole intention to make profit in the long run, you need consistency, you have to pick more winners over losers to profit in the long run.

On the other hand, if you do not do what I have suggested above it would only result in wrecking your life.
