God must be male because when he created Adam he said he created him from his own likeness.

If there is only one God with no female mate...why have a penis?

If you read Bible, Genesis, you will read that God created first human being in a way to resemble him.
If so, it means that God is similar to both Adam and Eve, male sand female.
In fact, all creation is made in such way.
In animal world we have male and female, also positive and negative parts in the atoms etc.
Since all creation is made in such way to resemble creator, God, only logical conclusion is that God is both male and female, Parent, not just father.

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ - 112:1
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.112:2 - اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
He neither begets nor is born,112:3 - لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.112:4 - وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Billions of Muslims repeat this 5 times a day. are you saying God doesn't exist? then explain to me if you could have a potato and put it on a table and wait 10 billion years to see if it evolves into something intelligent. you can't outsmart yourself can you?
You can't solve a problem without knowing the solution.

I'm not claiming God does not exist. I believe based on personal experiences. I do not put a lot of faith in religions as I understand that propaganda is everywhere and has existed forever.

If he does not beget (have children) and there is no equivalent...what would be the point of having a penis? Which is meant to be used to reproduce with a female.

God as angels is an asexual being, because he has no need to have children. He created the whole world and gives him love.

According to what i have read in an article, God is a spirit and he does not have a reproductive system of a male or a female. When people call God as a "man" it means that it is all humanity, be it male or female. God is a spirit that existed because prophets created its existence, but nobody proved what its gender was, so it is still considered unknown.
I don't believe in God, but as far as I know Jesus is called the son of God. If so then he definitely has a reproductive function. And actually, religion is full of contradictions. Priests prefer not to focus on this, but any educated person can understand that every religion is fake and there is no God.

I think that God does not have a physical body and accordingly there are no genitals. He lives in another dimension.

God is a spirit and if you most understand God you should study the nature of spirit. In spiritual world there is no sex, female or male! That is why One can not really describe how God's body look like as either he is male or female but he remain self existing God.

Which sex is God?

Does He have a penis or a vagina?

If He has either...and there is only one God...why would he need reproductive organs?

The bible did not include that because what the bible said is how He made the world in 7 days. And we all know that He is a guy so if He had reproductive organ, it will be penis.

How can you be so sure about it? What if the god is having neither penis nor vagina? I mean, he can be asexual. Else, he can have both. He may be having both penis and vagina. Is there anything in the bible which can shed light in to this issue?

Other fairy tales

"He made the world in 7 days"

How can you say that without at least having seen some proof, when I say proof I'm saying photos and videos

God has no sex. His not male nor female. God the father is only a spirit. None of us know the true image of god, and none of us know the true form of him. Maybe we will know the image of him when we will in heaven and meet him face to face.
The truth to say this question I was generally caught unawares, I did not know how to react and what to say. The fact is that we all represent God in male guise, but how really I do not even know what to say. Because I believe that God just sat down and does not have a certain sex, then most likely he is asexual.

He/she/it can be whatever you want him/her/it to be.

God is a day dream.  Imaginary concept.

In the real world, he does not exist.

In Christian mythology, God is a he/his father and some undefined ghost.  At the same time LOL.

God has no gender. If God has a sex, then God has lust, then has a child. Yet God has no children, no childbirth and no grace. God exists, but there is nothing similar to Him

I think what I would be asking is if humans were made in god's image (at least according to the Judeo-Christian tradition), does that mean he/she/it have a gender? It seems it has always been labeled as male in Judaism and it's offshots.

Neither the males, nor the females are happy with the god. So I assume that he/she is transsexual. Actually, the OP should have added a poll with four options - male, female, shemale, and unknown. Anyway, the majority of the world religions believe that god was male. Jesus Christ, Allah, Prophet Mohammed, Moses and Buddha were men. And regarding Hinduism, it is very complicated, as I think they have some 333 million gods.

Some people would have gotten triggered by the "shemale" option.  Grin
