The fall of the cryptocurrency is not due to a dropping government, I think this is because of the bubble that is in a downward trend when after a high rise is being experienced in the year 2017 yesterday, and someday it will return bubbles again.

Cryptocurrency and decentralization all go hand in hand, and I think the government has not won against bitcoin, bitcoin still has a lot of enthusiasts and prices are still high when viewed from the history of prices.

They'll not succeed in this fight as long is a commodity is useful and profitable bitcoin will still strive to make it's way to be an alternate way of payment, investment and income. They can drop a heavy hand on crypto currencies but as long as there are people who support decentralized system it will survive.

I think a coordinated government effort to shutter cryptocurrency could send the remains of the crypto-world underground, the question in my mind is if there is enough support for crypto right now that will force government to accept and regulate crypto instead of trying to shut it down.

Just look at how the G20 meeting turns out. There are a couple of governments who put effort to at least put a stop on crypto-currency, and everyone was really excited as how the meeting would turn-out. Fortunately, there's a lot of crypto friendly countries as well, and the meeting ended on a positive note. They might put regulations though, but the meeting was a good sign that we can't be stop at our tracks. So there's always 2 side on the equation, so I doubt that they will succeed in stopping this revolution.

Hopefully we will get to a point where there is too much money to made from taxing crypto to ban it. Unfortunately, this also means aligning with the government's demands, which is going to be antithetical to the notion of holding the blockchain as infallible.

Governments cannot stop the transactions. It is completely impossible. But as you mentioned they can try to stop people from using cryptocurrencies by making some rules.
But I don't think they want to stop them anymore. According to Cointelegraph, 22 countries sign declaration for european blockchain partnership. Some big countries are among these countries. Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Portugal and Ireland have signed the declaration.

The direct answer will be "NO" but giving it a second thought considering the recent "hammer dropdown" will create an impression that government is really winning the fight.

The price of Crypto has been dropping due to government dropping "an heavy hand" and interference in the crypto world then followed by the biggest social media like Google, Facebook, Twitter.

That's sad...

Will they succeed?

What are your thought?
