I don't think it is a sin to gamble. Especially when you're gambling with non-tangible items whose value are extremely ambiguous Smiley

Gambling is not good in my opinion. because it makes a person become addicted. besides forbidden by religion because of gambling only make us waste money in vain. but in fact a lot of people who gamble for current needs urgent

its depend on people which doing gamble because i think they know that playing gambling is a sin but they still playing gambling as gambling offering the big money to them and they can get it with easy. its depend on the point of your view, if you think gambling is a sin, they you know what you should do. but if you are fine with that, then you can playing gambling.

Two things. If it is against your beliefs and/or religion and if you are gambling money you can't afford to lose, then it is a sin. If gambling would be contradicting with your religion or beliefs then you should consider gambling as a sin, because it is. Regarding the second one, it's about practicality. You should consider it as a sin, because you are gambling money you don't want to lose because there would be a negative effect.

Gambling is a sin because if we look at religions reading books gambling is prohibited it is one of the seven grave sins. Then many gamblers commit crimes if they have no more money left to bet

Where is that written scripture about gambling? I haven't seen one... Not all and not many gamblers end up in commiting crime when they don't have money to bet... Some of them still has good mind, they invest on things that they know they could use in the future like buying some things that they know has a value, then pawn it later on when they have money...Though they do not commit crime, in the end, they suffer when they grow old and don't have anything that they need... Most of the gamblers are failure when it comes to rainy days in life...  Smiley

Well ,gambling is not a sin it only begins to be a sin if you abuse yourself that leads you to do some wrong doings like stealing money and making some move only to get some money to play in gambling .My mom told me that gambling is a sin because you it is bad to play with your money .but now i conclude it will and will depend on how you treat gambling is.

Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.

Some religion state it as a sin obviously, because it brings losses than winnings as we know except for the house.
If you play without put any money on bet it's consider not as gambling imo and fine to do.
What worse is addicted to gambling and ruin your life, that's why it's forbidden.
well, I think it is only illegal to gamble in some region. In my country, it is not a sin to gamble but if you are found gamble, you might be caught by the police. Most of the people in here love to gamble but due to the laws, they have to gamble secretly in order not to be arrested. Therefore, gambling is not a sin here Cheesy

You can not blame gambling about what It has done to other people. I think it is because they can not control themselves and their greedy. Greed is one of the nature feelings which we must learn to govern it otherwise it will ruin our life. Becoming addicted is the best lesson which a person can obtain from gambling. Soon, he will understand what is good and what is bad for him.

Of course it's a sin, i think every religion also said that gamble is forbidden and it is a sin. But if you don't trust any god and atheist, i think gamble is no problem for you. Well, it's depend on yourself though. It's better to forget about sin or something like that when gambling, because when you gambling i'm sure you will not remember about sin and you only think about profit.

If we keep on attaching religion to things that we really want and need to do, it will just slow you down. When it comes to gamble, everyone know, even those who don't believe in anything that it is going to be wrong, though they don't think of it as a sin, they could see that it could affect their lives and the people around them.

So better forget about religion when you want to feed your desire.  Smiley

It's only a sin if you do it in excess just like drinking or eating too much. If you don't let it affect your ability to support yourself or your family and don't get addicted to it, it shouldn't be a problem.
It is not a sin, it is just a problem but not a sin, eating to much of drinking to much is not a sin. It will just make your health bad.

What bad in gambling is that it makes not only your health bad but if you gamble away all the money you hurt those who near you, your relatives, your friends, those who love you. I don't know if gambling is a sin, but it is a bad thing if you don't know how to stop, for sure.
Not in general, it's up to you on how you manage yourself in gambling, some can still manage their life even if they are gambling regularly. You will only experience the negative effect of gambling if you let yourself addicted with it until then you can enjoy all you want and it's not a sin to have fun.

Agreed, i also think gambling is a game, not a sin. But i see many religions not allow to play gambling, because in religions wise, it is not legal. But instead of it, people are playing it, because they think that it is like a game, and many people are depending on it because they are earning from it. But we are here, because we are part of crypto currencies that's why we play it.

Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
As the bible say The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to “get rich quick” but if your gambling every day try to wash your sin every sunday Tongue

First of all, you shouldn't "try" asking forgiveness for your sins but you really should do it. When you're trying, you can fool yourself and say "Ugh, at least I've tried doing that. It just didn't work out." I really don't get the idea of committing sins everyday and then asking for forgiveness during Sundays. If you asked for forgiveness and then do it again, that means you were never sorry in the first place. Be true to yourself and ask yourself if you were really sorry. But I guess we're just humans and can't help but commit sins.
I’m not an expert on the faith or anything but I always though that in order to seek for forgiveness, repentance was mandatory after all if you don't repent your previous mistakes then it is very likely you are going to commit those same actions again.

well that's built in to us asking for forgiveness then make another mistakes from the topic i see most people always wanted to move away from gambling knowing that it is a sin if they are believing in any faith with God, but for those who doesn't it is another story.
