As long as the alt-coins that you would hold have a good future and they are active .
But turning your bitcoin into alt-coin has it's own advantage and disadvantage for example both your alt-coin and bitcoin could dump at the same time.

It's up to your capability to manage altcoins. Managing multiple altcoins might require more attention than managing few coins. Cryptocurrencies are risky and their price fluctuates rapidly but if you hold them for long term then it needs only little time by checking their price regularly. Mostly, when bitcoin is down the price of most of the altcoins goes up, others are being pulled down also by the bitcoin. Invest only in altcoins that have the solid growth potentials like ethereum, litecoin, ripple and other top coins.

If you want to have a lot of altcoins then don't hold them for long, as a lot altcoins would fail in future. Many of them are a scam project. They would definitely fail after some time.

The best way is to choose Bitcoin or Ethereum like a main coin and some other coins like extra investment .

In my experience, having a few coins which you have done research on is easier. It's a safer bet and it's definitely easier to keep up with a few coins which you are well educated about as opposed to having many altcoins which you do not even understand and is harder to keep up with.

I think this is a good question, There are plenty of coins in the market which sound good. we have a problem of choosing from available too many options. is it good to choose most promising coins as we think. but as many people consider some coins are shit coins  ( as they call) suddenly stat to rise unexpectedly. ie. XVG, RDD. Those who have invested in those so called shit coins could become a millionaires within few days. Thats how it works.  Wink Well So, If you have enough money you better invest many coins as much as possible because it minimizes the risk i guess.

The more you expand the lesser is hazard. Indeed, even there are some great potential altcoins that can be worth off for long haul. I think its better to have numerous altcoins in light of the fact that at some point some coin move suddenly and can give benefit past our desires. There is no damage to having numerous coins in the meantime. Through and through I have just about 40-50 kinds of altcoins at introduce. I am holding every one of them I know at whatever point I will get great value I will offer them. My vision is long haul.

I prefer to have a lot of different coins, as the market is very unpredictable, and any of the coins can grow in price and bring a great income, and the more coins you have, the higher the chance to get this profit.

Well if you really want to earn big much better to have many altcoins so that you can earn big.Even though it takes along time for you to earn but still it is very great option because in a long run you can be able to have alot of profit and get rich as well by means of trading.

I would suggest have some altcoins and some main coins in your pocket to minimise the losses if any.If u r focusing only on the main coins even thats better as many people earn profits in short term and long term as well. But altcoins we can get for cheaper prices and have enormous coins compared to the investment we do for main coins like btc and eth.I would definitely keep a balance and manage the portfolios much efficiently as short and long term could reap profits.

I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?
In my opinion i am going to invest in just a single coin and that's going to be Bitcoin for me, I will not waste my time with the other cryptocoins since most of them are on a time bomb.

Generally, I recommend spreading the investment in multiple options to avoid the possible loss due to any unexpected price fall in any single option. Diversification helps us to maintain stability in the capital in uncertain market environment and it also multiples the opportunities of growth. However, one should do deep research before making any investment decision and choosing the investment options.

For me its better to have many altcoins as long as your coins being kept are valuable one or those coins with potential to growth and can be good for long term investment not altcoins which just merely pure hype or no valid projects which may dead in the long run.

I prefer to hold only few altcoins. Altcoins that have potential to grow in the future and altcoins that are good. What will you do to many altcoins if many of them are shitcoins.

I am for holding many altcoins (plus Bitcoins) in the wallet, at least fifteen. It gives the possibility to trade constantly, and surely, get the expected good profit.

If you have substantial funds to buy many altcoins then try to buy as many as you can. There are many potential coins in the coin market but you should try a little research first before you go on a buying binge. Choose only the promising coins that have the potential to grow many times in the futures. Invest and hold is still the best strategy for making a profit but trading is also profitable but it is more risky.

from my point of view, you have many currencies with you. In some cases, currencies drop. In the currency exchange rate, at this time, if you need money, you can sell what you do not want, get the money, and find your money as often.
I think it is better to have more altcoin than we only have few. Altcoin is really also profitable and it is really amazing. I think if we have many altcoin we Can really also have an advantage on selling, because we can really select the coin that is in a high price and maybe hold the coins that is in low price status. I beleive that altcoin has also a great return of investment it is next to bitcoin it is really amazing.

Both the methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. If you concentrate on a few coins, then it will be easier to keep track of them and to make the important decisions. On the other hand, if you are investing in a large number of coins, then that will spread the risk.
