For me, 3 coins is enough but it depend how much is your capital. If you think you have a big capital to buy more altcoins, its up to you. But for me, atlease max of 3 altcoins because i can focus on this coins but you have to make sure that your coins is good one so that you can loss your money.

Well, there are lots of altcoins out there. But don't get easily deceived by these coins. Some of these are scam, some are not. Either options are good, you can have a large number of altcoins to have the assurance that you'll have large amount of profit, or you can have few altcoins to avoid investing in scam projects. If the project you joined is successful, you can hold your coins for a long time then you'll earn big profit if its price increases

Yes, I think it would be better if it has some kind of altcoin than it only has 1 type of altcoin. If one type of altcoin turns out to be incompatible with expectations or the worst is to end up with a shitcoin, I can still count on some of the coins I have.

I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?

I think its better to have just a few altcoins with value rather than keeping many alts with little value. some of these alts may not survive for long, its therefore advisable to chose carefully the coins that you keep.

Few altcoins with potential I guess would be better to keep. For example keeping some ETH in your wallet and some like Enigma or ETHOS or even EIDOO would be quite good than having a lot of tokens that is worthless. Picking just few and have more BTC to keep is a good strategy to maintain how much you having in your wallet. BTC stil is the best coin you could ever have due to its fast growing abilities, there are just more people buying btc.

Having more altcoins have better than few because more altcoins can make you earn good profit than few. Just like investment in one basket is too risky than investing in many investment.

It actually depends if you can manage too many coins or just enough. Diversification is a good idea, however, if you keep a lot of coins and if you will not be able to manage or monitor each, you might miss a chance to sell or buy more. It is true that altcoins can provide a lot of income, however, it is always better to just choose the coins that you see has a good potential and focus most of your budget on it.

holding on many coin is good because chance of higher earnings but just be careful of investing on it. We aren't sure if we have just 1 coin is a good coin so better we handle more

With something as risky as alt coins you need to diversify well. I personally recommend holding 10 + various alt coins you believe in.

The more you diversify the lesser is risk. Even there are some good potential altcoins that can be worth off for long term. I think its better to have many altcoins because sometime some coin move unexpectedly and can give profit beyond our expectations. There is no harm to having many coins at the same time. Altogether I have almost 40-50 types of altcoins at present. I am holding all of them I know whenever I will get good price I will sell them. My vision is long term.

Try to focus on the value and growth of alternative coin. Learn about the markets of all alternative coins. Now choose that one you believe that its value and price will be more faster in near future. Also try long term investment. Bitcoin is much better than all alternative coin. But study more about all altcoin before investment.

I personally would rather have a few well-known altcoins than many random ones. It is really difiicult to predict which altcoin will be pumped in the future. Usually, the most popular cryptocurrencies are being upgraded all the time which makes them faster and better. It eventually leads to their price increase. I feel much more safe with the most popular altcoins, they are also supported by hardware wallets, so basically I can hold them without having to worry about anything.

It is always better to have a few valuable altcoins than have many altcoins which are not valuable. If the many altcoins are valuable then its great because you can make a lot of money from selling them. Obviously many altcoins are not valuable and you just waste your time trying to sell only to realise that it has no value.

i take it as the highest risk to pump all your fund in a single altcoin, because if the project crash that means you have lost all your money, but if you split it in different altcoins if one crash you can run to other.

Do you have enough time to monitor all the coins out there? If your money is in one coin and something starts happening to it your alarm can get set off and you will need maybe 10 min to log in and decide what should be done. Try doing that with 20 different altcoins, each on a different wallet.

I am in the same boat carefully and thoroughly wondering if I should just buy a few altcoins or just buy a lot for the meantime and hold them all out until they go up or become useless. One is inevitable

I personally think that only having one bitcoin is enough as long as you invest all your spare money on the specific cyrpto you want. Because as long as it's not necessary you don't really need too much because it can be harder to manage and it will be hard to maintain enough time for yourself in case you engrossed yourself too much on many coins, why not focus on the highest one right? But still if you have too much spare money and time, choose for the best and don't choose too many, just a few.

It is very simple many coins equals more profit, few coins equals less profit. More important is how you handle your coins, learn to hold it because it is more beneficial in the long run. Dont be so eager to sell it.

It is okey to hold many kind of coins at some point there is no risk if you hold it,we cannot say someday those shittycoin will come up with value and holding many kind of coins can give you profit.

I would rather hold 3 good coins than 10 mediocre coins.
