As such, this brand-new year (2019) could become a bright one for Bitcoin and the blockchain industry. It could take days, months, or even a couple of years from now before we experience the next bull market run. But, investing a little bit of your income into Bitcoin each day is the wisest decision for the future. Every time Bitcoin's block reward halves, it becomes much scarcer. With only a limited supply of 21 million coins, there's an extremely high probability that Bitcoin will become very expensive in the future.
I think it's obvious. The amount of bitcoin will decrease each time and its price will increase due to this, even if they carry out manipulations with the market. As a technology bitcoin has proven itself and I am confident that it will become a means of payment in the future for the whole world. Already many people went bankrupt as so became fabulously rich. The question is when there will be a transition to it as the main currency.

Happens I Think, something very unexpected. That few people have time to understand that bitcoin will be a means of payment and did not have time to get rich on it. Believe in conspiracy theory Smiley

Many says that, and some people like to judge that bitcoin has ended because of its current weakened, but basically everything is not finished and is not permanently in a downtrend, the possibility of returning at an altitude is not impossible, in this case.. the time will bring it back to recovery after many people the more accepting it

i wont agree with that ...there is no gameover words in the bitcoin life, and i think bitcoin still live until the next 5 years, why? because bitcoin have the good blockchain system that will support it and dont forget that it is the father of all cryptocurrency and stands in the first place ....

Once someone said if you cannot survive a 90% dip in the price of bitcoin then you cannot be an investor in cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is not dead guys it has only reduced in value and this is mainly because of its volatility. There is nothing to fear people just be patience and wait for it to rise again.

I understand the fear and frustration at this point in time but let's not forget that this is not the first time bitcoin has fallen after reaching a high peak so let's not give up yet. @OP I really admire your courage of holding your bitcoins as of now...Well you are just like me a long time holder because we believe in the technology that we have invested in and we know it would definitely pay of someday.

Thanks for your compliments. Despite the downturn in price last year, I haven't sold all my Bitcoins because I believe in its technology to transform our society in ways that were never thought possible before. Of course, it's best to protect our investment by cashing out in USD ASAP, but it's important to keep holding some Bitcoin for the future. There's more to this cryptocurrency than meets the eye.

Nonetheless, all we could do is buy and hodl Bitcoin as much as we can. It may not be game over yet, but rather a new beginning as the mainstream world starts to adopt Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at a large scale. Their time will come, and Fiat currency will be rendered obsolete within the mainstream world. Therefore, it's only game over for those who cannot be patient at all with Bitcoin. Wink

As long as there is crypto, I am very sure that Bitcoin will always be there and need each other. it is very difficult that bitcoin will disappear from circulation or disappear

bitcoin is the base of all crypto and if ever bitcoin collapse , for sure there will no be cryptos that will stay alive  but atleast the bockchain technology is already there and cannot be erased anymore  . people can still create a replacement for cryptos as long as bitcoin's game will be over  .  do you get my point  ? so cheer up mate   .
It is not yet game over for bitcoin , it just a matter of adjustment in the market ,that it is in lower price value ,but I do not believe that it will last for a very long time, in a matter of  time it will recover sooner and be  alive in the market, but it will not be over as other predicts or say.

bitcoin is not giving up yet. we have recently seen the drastic drop in price but it is fine. its just a correction bitcoin is making. bitcoin will surely be fine and bounce back stronger sooner than we think

I also believe that the price of the bitcoin will bounce back again in the future and possibly for another bullrun. As of now this time of writing, bitcoin is having an uptrend and there are possibility that this trend will continue next year. Correction is a part of cryptocurrency and they can't avoid it because of their volatility or unstable prices. I hope that next year, prices in the crypto market will be better than this year.

no it is not game over for bitcoin. for the fact that price has been going down a while now doesnt mean it is the end of bitcoin. bitcoin is only going through some rough times which it has experienced in the past and after which it came back stronger each time

Every business has a time price increase, therefore bitcoin is a decentralised crypto currency, that is working in a digital way of assets where many trade and also invest towards the platform, hence the bitcoin is not over.

Those who think that it's already a game over for bitcoin can leave now, just kidding.
Actually it does not matter if you think bad or good about the current situation, what matters is you decision, but for me, I'll definitely stay and hope that things will turn around, there's still plenty of hope for bitcoin recover, I'm pretty sure still a lot of people think that way.

One thing for sure is that cryptocurrencies have come a long way since 2009. Bitcoin is the one which started it all, and where most (if not all) cryptocurrencies depend on its progress. The finite design and high security of the Bitcoin blockchain makes it such where it's still the leading cryptocurrency in market cap. While the whole market has been depressed lately, that has not stopped Bitcoin from being alive and running after quite some time.

Despite this, many people would give up simply because they've invested into Bitcoin in its ATH. However, those who're still confident in its technology to change the world, will stay no matter what. It may not be game over after all, since Bitcoin is not dead yet. There are thousands of nodes and miners supporting the blockchain, as well as, developers working on Bitcoin to make it better than ever. It's not about prices, but rather what utility Bitcoin would give to the world as a currency.

Nonetheless, it may be game over for those who got into Bitcoin at higher prices. However, those who've never bought Bitcoin, would see the current bear market as the perfect opportunity to get into Bitcoin before everything goes back to normal. Just my thoughts Grin

The game is not over yet. There's more to see.

It is true that Bitcoin's price has fallen drastically,  Undecided

But, this kind of movement of Bitcoin can be seen every year, Bitcoin bubble is seen every year.  Angry
But Bitcoin is able to overcome it and give a bounce back.
Now, we know how expensive it can be & how cheap it can be.
This is the beauty of Bitcoin.

I feel pity at times for people like OP who think bitcoin will die, bitcoin will reach to 1000, or 100$ etc. Because of such stuff they will never invest in this booming market and thus will never get a good return which they could make form crypto currency. Instead they will be spectators only and just keep on seeing and at the end of the day will regret as they will see btc will reach 10, 15 or 20k in coming years

Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

I believe and I hope that everything will back to normal at least 14-16 thousand dollars. I know that being volatile is the nature of bitcoin but everyone was dissapointed when it drops more than half of its current price before.  One thing is for sure, bitcoin will still there  and cannot stop from circulating even it will banned globally.

Everything will be back to normal, I guess. This year it is indeed difficult for bitcoin to break out at 4500 $, but we can see prices start to rise slowly. And 2019 will be better, hopefully. And I've read some of the articles, in my country, the government has begun to accept cryptocurrency even though it has not been said to be legal.

After the year's low, the entire crypto market is recovering. Recreational potential is adequate.
We have a large number of new "users" on the BTC exchanges. The news on the cryptos is very positive.
That's why I think 2019 will be a good year for digital currencies.
