Yup - I love MEW. It's quick and easy, and I can use it for all of my airdrop coins. Just make sure to print a copy of your private key and put it in a safe somewhere.

I think myetherwallet.com is safe for as long as no one else holds your private keys and other passwords on your myetherwallet account. I have had my MEW account for a couple of months already and I really don't have any problems with it so far and my coins are perfectly safe. Didn't need to transfer it elsewhere because I hold the private keys to my MEW account which makes me feel safe.

I was always wondering  what  could  happen if  myetherwallet.com  website get hacked... so it's   better  to have the coins on  a   desktop wallet,  instead of  a  web wallet?
It's   a  question because  I a  little bit  afraid  of  web based  wallets

MyEtherWallet.com is safe as long as you keep your private keys and passwords for wallets in a safe place (off-line, encrypted in separated files with a strong password or store private keys on hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S) Remember you can always check your Token balance in blockchain explorer, no need to login to MyEtherWallet. Keep your Tokens in few wallets, use one for transactions, and other for store your crypto. Remember to bookmark MyEterWallet.com and always check address bar for a certificate (padlock) never open any links to MEW from chats, forum or private message especially Slack - so many fake forks there, and you will be on safe side. VeraCrypt is highly recommended for storing your private keys and passwords, not in WordPad.

I started using Myetherwallet and never stop.
Why someone has security doubts?

Which are the differences between Myetherwallet and Trezor?

Trezor is Hardware wallet.
MyEtherWallet online wallet.
Cause last time more and more people get hacked, Never give your private key to strangers.

Perhaps, you will get hack only if you become careless, just make sure you wont tell to anyone about your private key and password to your Myetherwallet or MEW. Then if there is a site asking your private key and address don't attempt to go into that site. Just be very careful anyway in everything you do dude.

As far as I know the site is operated bei the Ethereum team. So you do not need to worry about that it will disappear. You can also use it with Trezor hardware wallet, which I really like.

But you should always make sure that you are on the correct website address. There are many scams occuring.

It is quite safe. If you dont mistype the site name you are more or less safe Smiley
If you need something really safe, use paper wallet or ledger nano.

It is as safe as it can be.  To be more cautious you can use hardware wallet. Offline wallet is the best but you need to do many things

The wallet of myetherwallet.com is very safe from the hacker because no one can know your private key . So they cannot open your wallet. But be careful when you clicking a link because they have possible when you click a link they get soem information about your account and possie to open that if the private key you save it to the site or documents they see that so they can open it. Always be careful.

No system is totally safe. Hackers attacks whenever they want and when something that interests them. They will always find a way to get into a system if wanted to. To prevent that, you must be responsible of your safety. Wallet's security will be less vulnerable to attacks of you are careful in using your wallet. It can't be avoided, but can be lessened the chance of being a victims of hacking.

I think my ether wallet is not entirely safe especially from phishing attacks because many of my friends lost the banmyak token because of that, so you have to be careful in opening the email. especially if the sender's email is not recognized

MyEtherWallet is good for storing ERC20 tokens with a Ledger Nano hardware wallet, works well and your private key is stored on the Ledger.

As others have mentioned watch out for scammers trying to get people to click incorrect urls and also double check your using the right url each time you visit the website.

wow, I've been using myetherwallet for many months now, and have never had any issues.  I realize that there is risk putting them in a wallet I don't control, but I was willing to do so for now.  After reading some of this post though, I may be reconsidering...

Myetherwallet is tottaly safe . Because you only know what is your private key. But make sure that your private key did not find hacker because if hacker see your private key for sure he open your account and they withdraw the coin that you have. Always be careful always check your coin everyday if necessary to prevent losing. Keep away from the link that you see dont click it because they have possibility those link when you click they get information.
You do not need to check your coins everyday in order to avoid being hacked, the only thing you need to do is to create your wallet in a safe computer, a computer that has a clean OS, if you downloaded a pirated version of windows that OS should not be considered safe at all since it could have key logs or other tracking software that can steal your coins.

You are the one who is responsible of your coins safety, if you didn't lose your private key, no one can steal your coins, but if you want another wallet with additional features, you can use blockchain.info for storing ether alongside with bitcoin.
