Why not use a post office as your destination address then you just go over and pick it up. That's the same thing o do most times or I use my office address. But in your case, since you don't want any connection tied to the package, better to use a post office if any is operating in your location.

I hope by "obvious reasons," you mean illegal, because it most probably is. Laws vary from country to country, but I am almost certain that using somebody else's address without permission from the resident is illegal in so many countries.
Yes, that's one of the reasons.

And I assume that you'd also be using the name of the person living in that address since, well, you're keeping your identity unknown. This is worse. Although you're not using his/her name for any fraudulent purposes, I suppose this still falls under identity theft.
That actually happens quite a lot here: someone orders something online, but at someone else's address. After delivery, they just go there and say they made a mistake with the house number. Many webshops allow you to pay later, and the receiving address will get the bill.

I think I'd better ask for permission.

If you have a very good friend who lives nearby, you can also send the package to him. Of course, you should ask him beforehand if that's okay. So you can order or receive something anonymously. That's how I do it sometimes and I don't have to give my real address and name. This method should only be used if you don't want to order anything illegal.  Wink
I wouldn't do this tbh. You're putting your friend in probable danger by giving his information to people you don't know. What if the one you transacted with has ulterior motives and is just waiting to receive the right information before making a move? Roll Eyes Better be hypervigilant and stay safe, and protect other people too while keeping yourself private.
I don't do this often, and only when I'm sure my friend is safe. For example, if I win a free raffle here on the forum, I use his address with his permission. This way I remain anonymous and I don't put my friend in any danger. After all, I don't want my friend to be endangered because of me either. That's not in my interest. But I can understand the concern. Of course, this method is not suitable for everything.  Smiley

I don't know what you thinking about the title of the topic funny or not , but I went to the goods board and saw that many physical things are being sold, and hardware is also being sold. And then the desire arises in my mind to buy some of them. But I am thinking about the location  Now my question is it possible to make delivery by the third party keeping my location invisible to them.  Because this is the crypto world, I think it's better to be act crypto here.  Please share with me if any of you know about this related process.

As in goods here in the forum? What’s the reason behind this inquiry? Are you scared about other user here will know your identity? I do feel this too when buying random stuff in collectible section but there’s no way to make a purchased with complete anonymity since shipping company will obviously requires it for legal reason to prevent  buying of illegal stuff.

If you are just not confident on random user knowing your identity and address. Why not use parcel forwarding services so that you can assure that the shipping company will be handling your identity not the user that you will purchased the item. We have a local trusted member here that doing this kind of job for you. You can contact @minerjones to received your item then he will send you your parcel. He is the most trusted here in terms of this kind stuff.

I once read a creative method: find a house where you know the owner isn't home, and have it delivered there. On the day of delivery, you do gardening at that house, and accept the package when it arrives.
I can't recommend it though, for obvious reasons.

You can always use your real name but only the location is not revealed. It's easier to get illegal stuff online while location and identity are kept secret when buying locally but doing it outside the country, wouldn't be easy but also risky. Buying illegal stuff is the only reason I could also think why one wouldn't want his location known.

I have read Uber can be used to deliver afaik, using someone else phone and address at the same time.

Ever heard of post offices and virtual offices? They still exist, and that's how these people get their items without really having to divulge much of their physical location. It's way easier to say that they can drop off the items one town away from you and just drive to there and get your package rather than let someone know where you are given the nature of cryptocurrencies. You don't want people snooping about your business simply because you gave them too much information.

Choose a ghosted house nearby your location and give that address to the sender but obviously you need to enter your real name or else you can't prove the parcel is actually yours then track the package and obviously you will be notified at the day of delivery so you can go there and receive it so your real address won't be exposed to an online trader but its little bit too much of work I will simply choose the Amazon to buy anything.

I don't think it's safe to trade directly by face to face because the seller is know your face, the worst thing he might ask his friend to follow you from behind to know your location and your house. I still think using third party e.g. the expedition is safer since he doesn't have any idea what's inside the package etc.
Yeah if it's not safe for you than stay forever in your bomb shelter and never come out to buy anything because it's dangerous to go outside  Roll Eyes
I didn't say to go and meet with some unknown guy at night in some dark street corner and to bring suitcase full of money and private keys for all your coins.
People who trade p2p already know how to pick crowded public places and bring one or two friends with them.

Can you tell me how alternative name is going to help if they ask you to show your ID, which your name would be different with the alternative name.
Delivery guys don't really care if your ID is real or fake...just sayin.

That's very rare where I live. I'd be more worried about the delivery guy asking if you can open the front door to prove you really live there.
In some countries they do ask for your ID number, but it's just a stupid procedure and they don't care about it if it's real or not.
They won't check your blood and dna to confirm if this is true.

I don't do physical items, which sometimes means i miss out on something really nice.
OP has to tell us the country where he wants to receive the package. For example, if he lives in Germany and does that kind of thing, there is a high chance that the postman he meets will be the one who delivers packages in that area for years and knows neighbors, who lives where and who is at home or at work at a certain moment. This situation would look very suspicious for the experienced postman and you know, if the parcel gets lost in Germany, it becomes the problem of postmen. Also, when another person receives the package, in most cases they either send email or leave yellow paper in the mailbox. This is another red light.

But if he lives in the USA or in another country, he may probably succeed with that method. That's why he has to at least share a little information with us to get a better personalized answer.

It's possible, but there's few thing like:
1. You can't predict when your package will be delivered
Most deliveries here send you an email with an approximate time frame. That's enough to start your gardening.

2. Some strict expedition company will ask your ID.

It's much easier if goods are located in the same country you live, because you can complete transaction in person face-to-face.
Delivery to other countries can be more complicated but you can still use PO Boxes, or use alternative names and delivery address to receive package.
However, you can't expect to have 100% anonymity when you are buying and selling stuff online.

It's not a funny title/question but an actual and legitimate concern for someone who doesn't want the seller/buyer sees their address. If your country or place has a designated mail office, you can just advise the shipper to just deliver it there and you're the one who's going to pick it up.
I've ordered some things online outside the forum and this option is available for me so, that's what I'm mostly doing at times when I'm ordering products online and I want to keep my address away from the shipper but of course, the completely name isn't hidden and has to be given in detail.

Even the "redirect service" is not useful in hiding the site completely, because if the service is in the same country, then the country in which it resides is known and there is a possibility of discovering him
Knowing where's country the @OP live without any other information like his real name, face and complete address are not really ruin your privacy. Do you think there's a country where you're the only one who live in there? no, there's a lot citizens lived in various city and street.

Even you're having high privacy concern, I don't think you're already perfect to hide your identity in this world, at least your government are know who you're since you need to create ID and other legal citizens stuff.

I think the OP is thinking of a shipping service similar to a bitcoin address where it is possible to send goods to this virtual address without having to know the recipient, like when you send bitcoins from one address to another without revealing the identity of the sender and recipient.

At the moment, I think that the existence of such a service is like a fantasy because it is far from reality.

you might just want to ask permission from a friend or a workmate to have something shipped to their address.
I don't think this is good solution, you're just make your friend in trouble and I believe your friend will ask what's inside the package since there's many case where someone ask to receive his package, but the item is illegal in his country and his friend face legal case.

This should be the last resort. And I believe OP is not talking about any contraband. He/she is simply trying to hide his/her address from the shipping company.

Anyway, I'm afraid there is really no way OP could completely avoid having his/her address known by any third party. If he/she uses a forwarding service, he/she still needs to provide his/her address to the forwarding service. The same is true if he/she uses an individual re-shipper. If he/she uses a PO box, he/she still needs to provide his/her personal information before being allowed to rent one. If he/she opts for the pick-up option instead of door-to-door delivery, he/she'd still be asked for a valid ID at the very least.

It highly depends on where you live. If you have a friend that has a little bit high position on at least certain post company office, you can ask him to receive packet for you in that location without revealing your address or real name to the sender. You can also use package lockers, freight forwarder companies. There are some options, everything depends on your connections, post company and where your live.

I want to highlight that doesn't matter whether it's crypto world or eBay or Amazon world, 99.9999% times you can feel safe with revealing your address. One thing to do here is to register a new account (it's not against the rules AFAIK) and make some deal with people. This way, no one will know that in reality the deal was done with Crypto Library.
