everyone knows that it is a Internet business.... so i can say that it is not possible in offline currency...
I don't think bitcoin will be an offline currency because it is not designed to be like the currency you are holding now, and as of now government doesn't accept this as a currency or payment method so that would be impossible.
The major hurdle today with the bitcoin is that it is not consider as a currency in many countries. Like our government has already clarified that it is not a legal tender and cannot be considered as a currency. Now due to such things it rules out the option of the offline currency thing. It needs to be treated differently in order to move forward.
If you look at 2018, when people are still using mostly offline currencies for every transaction, it is unlikely that cryptocurrencies will replace offline currencies. However, in the next 15 years, when online payment technology became popular, the use of Bitcoin, altcoins to pay at that time will become famous and ultimately replace the cash.
Although its not looking as easy that cryto currency will totally replace fiat currency but in near future i think at least it will reduce the use of fiat currency because of the increasing interest of the people in crypto currency. In future the use of crypto currency will surely increase and then people will even use crypto currency as even now in some places people have the facilities of using bitcoin for shopping in offline stores.
I think it's hard to come true, how could bitcoin be able to replace the offline currency that is currently circulating, enough visible lack of bitcoin to be able to replace it as offline currency, offline currency has existed since long and difficult to replace it, almost all people use as a tool for transactions and not everyone knows bitcoin or use, and I think the offline currency will continue to be in its position for quite a long time

It can be possible to use Bitcoin like offline currency. The solution would be, not to transfer the Bitcoins but to handover wallets with predifined funds. But there must be solved one problem: You need a centralized service, which provides certificates and encryptes private keys.

There is no such method or technology available which gives you this kind of facility that you can use any of the crypto currency may it be bitcoin or any other coin like that of offline currency. You do need to have an internet along with tablet or pc in order to perform any kind of operation or transaction related to that of any of the digital coin. You cannot use them like other offline currencies.There is no such method invested so far using which we can do such kind of thing as all the crypto currencies which are there in the real word needs to have an internet connection along with the one who is dealing with any of the crypto currency.
Still, it is not possible to use like offline currency because many governments still, did not accept Bitcoin as the payment method. Now in the present situation, it is not possible to use it any stores.
There is only one country i knew that using the bitcoin like offline currency and that is JAPAN, beacause there you can used your bitcoin everywhere as fa as I know.

How is that even possible? I think everyone in this forum has the responsibility to make research and study how bitcoin works, there is a lot of discussion and lecture all over the internet, how come bitcoin could be use in offline transaction where it only exist in the internet.
Few days ago a friend asked me this questions. But i cannot understanding that how to i give him answer. At last i said him that, bitcoin is an online currency. Only this currency used in online marketplaces. It is not possible to use it in offline marketplace like offline currency.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are only created for online payment or transaction and there is no way you can use it offline. Cryptocurrency is digital currency that is associated with the internet which uses cryptography and this encryption techniques can only possible through digital means. Government will not also willing to accept to mint any currency, especially virtual currencies, that are decentralized or they can not control. The only way you can use bitcoin for offline is to convert it to fiat first through exchanges or P2P approach.
Butcoin is digital currency mean that it can only use in online not offline. where has Internet & a computer, there you can use bitcoin. There is no way to use bitcoin offline as my opinion.
We are having the same point of view sir, I think whatever happen bitcoin will not used like offline currency, since this coin is decentralize. Moreover most of the people in the whole world have lacked of idea how to used it, especially the vendors. Maybe you can used it into the hotel, restaurant or even supermarkets, but in to the normal stores are not.

As of now, I dont think it is possible for bitcoin to be used as offline currency as bit coin requires internet for transaction to take place. May be someone can come up with some idea where bitcoin can be used as an offline currency

I think some country will not accept bitcoin as payment gateway like transaction. Bitcoin and crypto currency is a decentralize system not centralize. So who can take responbillity if something happen in crypto market? Who can set up amount available crypto money? The risk is too high and central bank at several country will not take responbillity about crypto. And don't forget, crypto can raising inflation when it use as transaction because the price is up down too fast.
The transaction has to be confirmed in the blockchain by other users.
And for that to happen, it has to be connected to a network.
For now, Internet is the network which connects all the billions of users who trade and confirm these transactions so using it offline isn't really possible at the moment until lightning network comes in.

I think this can happen. Bitcoin can be used as a foreign currency when the bitcoin network has expanded extensively in countries around the world and is well-represented. It can then be traded as a common currency quickly and conveniently. But what is your best answer of this question?
No, Bitcoin is a online currency. You know it is a digital currency & it is used to transfer by device to device. So if we have to use it , we have to connect with online. Thank you.
