In case of a market crash, if you're holding coins from the lowest part of top 100 or beyond, you won't find buyers for them. You're safer with top 10, even if the market crashed.

To me I think from top 200 below is risky as most of the coins below 200 on Coinmarketcap are mostly pump and dump in order not to loose your money invest what you can afford to loose in those coins

Investing in coins outside the list of the top 100 is very risky, but it can also bring a very substantial profit in case of success! Personally, I invest some of my money in such coins.

Of course it is risky, but if you find the right project than the profit will be very good. The higher risk usually go together with a high rewards and the low market cap coins are perfect example of that.

Maybe some of the coins may not increasing, but the important to know is the behind of the coin like the team and their projects just a little research from them so that you know if it is potential coin or not.

If you like this monnet, why not? Many coins did not immediately enter the TOP 100, but only after a while there appeared. Perhaps you will guess what a coin will become a new TOP

You can be relatively safer when you invest inside the list and not outside, but no one is insured against a loss. No one can guarantee you big profit if you've invested in top 10.

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?

Hey NikoF!  You certainly have a greater chance to lose money investing on cryptocurrency below the top 100!

You see, a coin/token listed in the top 100 indicates a successful company whose altcoins already has a good value and somehow stood the test of market time.

Though, if your budget could play around, it would also be great to invest on a strong product/service backed cryptocurrency that falls beyond the top 100 and whisper to lady luck for a wishbone effect! #winks

The current situation is that you are very dangerous no matter which currency you buy, not just the top 100, because it has already erupted, it is difficult to break out again in such a short time. So be very careful.red, green, red, red, green,it's driving me crazy.

depending if we choose not from the top 100 but have a significant development in the market is more profitable than the top 100 entry but the market price is unstable. then before buying a crypto currency that is not top 100, get used to analyze it before buying it. whether the coin has stability in the market and is able to develop well. better for a little but continuous, than buying a top 100 entry but profits can not be determined.

The risk is always there, depending on how we manage it. In general I see it would be risky if investing that is not top 100 and does not cover the possibility of loss.

The coins that are below 100 are extremely risky because you never know what stands behind them and whether the project team is doing anything as per their road map.
I would definitely think twice before investing in such coins.

Yeah, many people advise just invest in Top 10 or 100 whatever. But that's ranking based on the market cap of that coin. It's not the case that others have more chance to lose or risky. The risk factor for all coin like same. Just you need to invest in the good project which you think will do good in the future. I always say " Risk means Profit"

I think that the lower the coin is the greater the risk for investment. But on the other hand, the lower the coin is the greater the potential profit. Everyone decides where to invest.

Yes it is risky but without risk there is no good reward. You need to take risk if you want to be able to make a good profit.

I think even if it's in top rank 10 doesn't mean not risky at all, i'm sure that you know if crypto is very high risk, every project there is risk and profit respectively. Only choose a project that has a clear development.

Yeah, it is more rusky, but also more profitable too. So, if you believe in some project you can buy their tokens and wait the moon, why not! There are a lot of promising projects not in top 100 of coinmarketcap.

There is no investment that is not risky. Even if you invest in top 1 altcoin. The extent of the risk might just be limited. As you said toward the end of the article that high risk means high earning, I have a different opinion on that. There are some token that did not even conduct ICO. Just distribution through airdrops and you know what? People earned from it more that series of ICO token projects.

Investing in cryptocurrencies is always risky, but those cryptocurrencies listed on the first page of CMC are always more reliable and usually have low risks of SCAM/Fraud.
