If you think that bitcoin will be dropping to altcoins price at the end of the year, don't think about it. Price of bitcoin is about to surge most of the time so if you don't want to be left behind by this express train, get in.
Besides even if that were to happen that does not mean that altcoins are going to remain in their current levels of market capitalization, if bitcoin crashed then all alts are going to crash as well since there is going to being a stampede to get out of the crypto market before it is too late, so to think we can reach those prices and that there is not going to be consequences for alts is a mistake.

I think that at this moment everyone is clear that bitcoin is the giant of cyptocurrencies and every intelligent investor thinks first of all of investing in the big shot, in the most reliable, prestigious of all the cryptos.
If you have no experience in the market and you do not know how to differentiate the good opportunities of banal spam, I think you should go safe and invest in bitcoins now that it is barely positioning itself in international markets. Later it could be too late.

If reading about bitcoin's history and even looking at its graph hasn't convinced you of investing on it, then you better don't invest in bitcoin. Basically, investing in cryptos is risky and don't invest what you can't afford to lose. Tha's plain and simple.

You can invest in bitcoin and earn 100% profit in 5 months. But if you invest the money in altcoins you can earn 300% in 1 month.
But you are only presenting the good side, it is true that bitcoin is not going to skyrocket 100x anymore so altcoins are more attractive when you think about that, but altcoins can go to zero very quickly as well and that is something that is very unlikely for bitcoin, and in fact most alts go to zero in just a few years so if you are holding at that time you are going to lose all your money. If you want in then just buy in, you decide what you do with your money. Also, don't be scared on hearsays saying that bitcoin can drop to altcoin prices this year because it can't. It is very unlikely for it to happen but if it does happen, it would be the greatest dump we will ever see on the history of cryptocurrencies and it will be remembered throughout the history. If that happens just believe in bitcoin and hodl, it will surely go to moon again after some time of staying in a low price.

I do not see great connection between Bitcoins and altcoins. It rarely happens that a fall of Bitcoin lets other alts to decrease.

Investment is unpredictable job, no one can clam that he must get money from investment, so is the case of bitcoin from bitcoin. You should make up your mind on what you want to embark on. There will always be ideas of two ways (good and bad ones) which will either discourage you or make you feel fit for it. Bitcoin can never drop down to the price of altcoins.

It is possible for bitcoin to drop to altcoin prices but not this year. It is highly unlikely for btc to go down to those levels if mass adoption of it is increasing everyday, generating more demand for it. Invest on bitcoin if you want but you better do it on dumps for cheaper entry points. For now I think the chance of this happening in the next 5 years is less than 1%. Do not be afraid to invest into btc, but before you do make sure to research the mechanism of holding btc safely so that your funds would not be lost in the process.

I hope you already started investing since from the day you posted this thread till now, bitcoin price went from 8k $ to more than 10k $.
We always here the same stories: bitcoin will crash, it is a scam, fraud ... The only truth is that Bitcoin just crossed 10k USD despite all rumors.

Who told you that? don't believe everything you read on the internet, you won't get too far in the bitcoin world if you do. If you want to invest in bitcoin I'd recommend you to do some proper research about how btc works, understand the pros and cons of investing in btc, and once you know what you're about to get into, do what you wanna do.
