Yep, currently the Polkadot advertisement is to replace ETH position, with the aim of attracting more investors. If ETH 2.0 fails it is highly likely that Polkadot will replace it, because Polkadot has taken it one step further. the Polkadot project is very ambitious, has evidence of real use cases, and a broad community. Of course I did not waste this opportunity.

Polkadot is a very good coin which is also representing a Defi project. That's why it is seen a growth of thousandth percent in a very short time. But, do very late for the investment in this coin. But, If you are decided to invest in this coin then invest a very small amount of your funds say; only 10% of your total funds. This because it will grow further if the market will go further means depend on Bitcoin growth.

its not late if its the best time . polkadot was new in my opinion . they say it was a good projects because of the people behind it and its upcoming developments . the price of the dot coin can possibly grow big in the late future .

not ambitious because when you say ambitious it sounds like they have a big plans without taking an action or they cant make thier big plans happen but i think polkadot is not like that , i already state a few reasons earlier . you can say that they are one of the big and realistic project by this year

Probably not bad decision. If you are BitMex trader you may have the opportunity to leverage the income from investment into DOT as that exchange gonna add DOT into its "quanto futures contracts." This is expected to happen at the end of year and apart of that they said "PolkaBTC set to go live in 2021" which will add more value to DOT itself

Polkadot is very promising but don't put your eggs in one basket, I believe that Polkadot will increase alot few years later but because nothing is certain in this life I advice you should invest in few other coins too, just make Polkadot a part of your portfolio, it's not bad if you have 5 good altcoins in your portfolio

Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin

The polkadot ecosystem which is a large one and too complex to understand (atleast for me ) is really interesting and they bare building it to be the foundation of web 3.0 and they have already established a large fund for donations for web 3.0
But the price seems too high for my liking to invest before looking at how the ecosystem develops.

Polkadot still has a lot of hype behind the project especially because of Gavin Wood. Tons of developers moved their focus from ETH to the DOT ecosystem. DOT can really pull next ethereum but, it can't replace ethereum (IMO).

Right now, I am heavily invested in DOT.

I'm not sure how everyone will respond to this thread, because there is a lot of news about Polkadot and there is even an investor who gave a $20 million fund,
Polkadot has great potential like the DeFi Project in general because now DeFi is the newest cryptocurrency trend.
My advice for investors with limited funds who want to invest in Polkadot, invest at least 10% of the funds you have, the rest you can use for major coins like Ethereum which is clear and has high liquidity.

Gavin has a great impact on this project and yes, Polkadot was able to land on the top list and looking on its all time high compare to its price today, I also believe that this is a cheap token so grab this now because they keep on growing as expected. If you believe on Polkadot's future then now is the right time to buy more while its cheap and you also have to look at the market status right now, we are heading up and Polkadot might join the up trend soon.

Recently, polkadot joined the top lists in crypto coin. But it was down around 8% from it's price as of today that urge me to buy some since the objective is clearly for connecting several chains. It's not appropriate to judge it easily, as we know polkadot is trying to impress us by introducing more developments on their projects.

And what I am interested the most was the co founder of Ethereum Gavin is also the founder of polkadot which makes me think that this project will also be taken seriously like how eth does.

Most times i think it is good giving a project enough time to develop before thinking of holding long term, this is because of the untrustworthy nature of most projects nowadays, just a random thought.
Although Polkadot is a good project with many projects onboard it already, but how far do we think it can get, considering the fact it got much attention this year. What about when the going gets tough, just like in the case of other blockchains that were claiming to be better than Ethereum, will upcoming or already existing projects still find it good for launching on?.
Nevertheless, considering its unique features which I find attractive and in my own opinion, i will keep watching it to know the right time to get involved, but not likely now because i need to see how committed the team are towards their goals from next year.

Nice to see the small profit that I can get, but I don't sell it right now, and I want to hold this token. I hope that the token is not back to the price I bought, but the price can increase. SmartFi - EARN, LEND & TRADE

Although they have many new projects developing on Polkadot, it needs to be known and used more often by everyone. At least it should be as popular as Ethereum for its convenience, usage habits, and rich ecosystem.
The RUST programming language will not be well received by developers because of its confusing and difficult to control. Ethereum's SOLIDITY seems easier to implement smart contracts, so it's easier to engage developers.

In terms of investing in Polkadot, it is too early because this project has been overblown and difficult to increase in value. If Polkadot offers further discounts I will consider investing in it.

If they're talking about development/support for the next five years, looks to me like the polkadot ecosystem may actually have something to offer the altcoins network, now and in the long run and it 'could' be a sign of a good investment; I don't know too much about polkadot cause I consider altcoins and their projects as only short term investments, but for those that don't, they could put a fraction of their funds here and see what happens with polkadot's development as time goes on.
