I'm not viewing the bull to be over yet with the looking of how the price coming back after it drops. Hodling isn't just what we look at the short term but for a longer time gains. Waiting for more dip to around $30,000 can be a time that we can't tell. Therefore in not to miss the real deal which is the future increase, it is better to buy and hodl now. The price of bitcoin is coming back after the little hourly correction last few weeks, no speculation can be accurate or perfect but investing to the extent that we can sustain ourselves is better.

This is one of the examples of telling people "I will buy once it will dump and dip".
Emotions, when the price is already pumped or high for you, you are telling yourself to buy when it will pull back or dump.
This is difficult and I admit that I am always experiencing this. We don't know how deep the dip is.

That's why the best thing to do when you want buy the dip, try to not do 1 buy or all in, try to average it on multiple buy orders incase there are/is more dip or no more dip. Just my 2 cents.
Actually when bitcoin or altcoin price pump many trader or investors hope bitcoin or altcoin price could dip few while to buy back, but when the moment of price dip why many trader or investor not brave for buy back and try to add bag with many altcoin choose. Later when price have recovery and bitcoin back to higher again we found many disappointed from investor or trader statement, why not buy back yesterday when bitcoin and altcoin still dump. They have not brave when get chance and always fraud with bitcoin dump, how ever that the good beginning to buy back when price dump.

I'll answer for me. Thought the dip would last longer and that it will continue dipping like what usually tends to happen in such cases.

The dip a couple of days ago was beautiful but unfortunately I didn't take advantage as much as I should have. Is right now I bad time to go in? Should I wait for another dip? Thinking of getting several coins. Goal is very short time investment.

I think it would be better if you catch bitcoin at below $40k. Previously It went to $30k and then go back again to $52K. So as I think it is very hard to go back again $30k. So better to get chance to buy around $40k imo.

To be honest most of the time we failed to catch these dump due to our greed and emotion and or/ not well known to hold usd. When we see these dump also our capital go down due to open trade. Thus how we miss this. We should make a good habit of keep hold a portion of USD/ FIAT.

It is hard to define with certainty what a dip is, today may be a dip - all these are relative over a certain amount of time.

So I'd say if the plan is to hold for a few weeks then maybe going in would not be such a bad idea. The longer you're prepared to hold the less worried you should be about going in now as it is the average that counts in the end.

However, let this be a learning lesson for those who always say they'll buy the dip, market drops like 10% and they still wait for the dip. Jump when there's blood in the streets. Simple as that!

If you're only planning on making a short term investment, then your guess is just as good as ours lol. We're not fortune tellers here.

Is there any Bitcoin dip definition really? If so what is that? These are the complicated things to determine where is the dip actually and most likely we will fail to find it. Two days back the dip was below $40K and now start to pump it again. Who knows it would dump more or just continue pumping upward? If dump then when? So many questions but no answer at all. So when you take entry on Bitcoin it's the correct time for you. Don't think always you can buy it bottom and sell it top. Because it's unpredictable where is the bottom where is top.

However, I am just waiting for a little more dump. Not sure either it will happen or not, but I will not jump right now. Never mind if regret it later. I have learned from the past. I will not be hurry during investment, and I will not be panic during the sale.
