Yes, you are right these days Ethereum price is more stable than bitcoin's price as these days Ethereum is gaining more popularity than bitcoin as it is been considered as the payment gateway in Generation of ICO's and Tokens which are introduced newly on the crypto exchanges. Even bitcoin's decrease in demand is another reason where bitcoin is being banned in countries like India and its recent ban on the google and facebook is also making bitcoin weaker against the Ethereum.
From my point of view, both of them are good cryptocurrencies in the trading market which always sit in the top 2 volume in the market. I believe ETH will increase higher than BTC since it has attractive features and make great profits in turn.
