Bitcoin in Niger State💯
Pastor na human being like you and watin you mention above are all legalized perhaps who are my to judge a pastor that want to indulge in gambling and trading, economics has it that human wants are insatiable. However, personally am not pretty much comfortable  bringing religious related stories here because there are combination of different religions beliefs or believers in this forum, when talking about sports betting, trading Bitcoin or altcoins please inform him about the risk involvement because making profits is never guaranteed, he should gamble with an amount he can afford to lose.

I no kukuma understand how we they take reason religion matter for Nigeria. Wetin concern bitcoin or cryptocurrency discussion with a pastor. Shey cryptocurrency no be money ni again. They are just like any other currency out there and are used by individuals regardless of who you are or what you do, for transaction sake. Maybe person wey ask this question still get fundamental issues with understanding the main reason of Bitcoin or other crypto.

Just to answer the question Sha, it is important for us all to understand that Bitcoin among other cryptocurrencies are just a means of transaction and nothing more, the nature of transaction you use it to do is solely dependent on you as the individual and not the system itself.

To me there's nothing wrong with a pastor getting involved in crypto currencies like Bitcoin because it's not a sin and even the bible is not against it as the end point will
be money which will even make the church grow and will open more financial doors
If pastor can use fiat money to pay tithes and offerings in the church, nothing wrong for pastor to have the ideas of crypto and bitcoin investment because is a decentralized currency which is made for people to invest  in the bear market and sell in the bull market to earn income that will boost their funds in the community. But if pastor use church funds to invest in bitcoin without the permission of the church members is a sin according to the holy Bible.

Better days are close
There is not wrong if a pastor or a man of God decide to invest into cryptocurrency since it doesn't relate in any fruadulent or scamming related issues for he can be bless through there by God since God said he will bless us with the works of our hands and also instead of him collecting money from poor members in the church I think it is better he invest into Bitcoin.
Pastors are human being also they will love to leave in an comfortable environment, buy cars build houses they will also train there children in school depending on members offering can't do this things so I believe anyone who has basic knowledge concerning Bitcoin investment will probably go into it.
Is it is never a sin if a pastor decides to go into the crypto currency market.

Do not forget that all this pastors or Men of God are humans just like you and I, and having quite number of congregation does not have any business with he's living. Pastors have families that they need to take care of and other responsibilities which requires money to deal with. So we can not necessarily say that they should not engage in something genuine that contributes positively to them and their needs as far as it is not against the religions believe and is not a sin against God.

To me I  do not see anything wrong with a pastor engaging in Bitcoin  or other trading, because that is a quest to earn income as to be able to Carter for himself, family and at times take care of most needs in the church

Good day my country people, I observed something today which I felt I should share in the forum.
Well it's about a pastor who comes to me and some friends of mine to know little about trading, which my friends and I tried our best to give him the knowledge he can to start trading.      But funny enough he's also interested in sports betting too , he's congregation has quite the number but he stills struggle financially, so he's ready to start doing anything legitimate for money.
Being a pastor no mean say you go just dey expect your members to carry offering come put them you collect from there take feed. Many pastors get other things wey them they do, em be pastor no mean say when em see good/legit opportunity to make money em no go do am, what if to say em come meet you then asked you to teach ham how to do forex trading?
For me, nah very good thing em do to come ask you to teach ham how to get/investment for Bitcoin, on the second 💬 thoughts, what if to say em come to you so that you go teach ham how to gamble?
Again, before you dey see pastors dey put there serious online watin you think? Them already know say money they there and if them get a lot of members. Anytime dem dey do service and pipo dey stream am, nah more money them they get.

In my own opinion crypto trading isn't a secular pursuit, you might say gambling is a secular pursuit due to religious belief but that's not what I think.Pastors are humans like you and I,so should there be anything stopping them from getting involved in crypto trading, crypto is for everyone irrespective of their status in the society, it's an open source everyone and anyone can partake.
It's better for a pastor to trade crypto than to extract money from the congregation, being a pastor doesn't mean you should earn from the members of the congregation or rely on their money from the tithes and offerings. Also being a pastor doesn't mean you should be idle and watch your members feed you,it's not like I'm against feeding the pastor of a congregation,it's good to give to your pastors because there's a reward attached to it.Even Paul who was an apostle in the Bible urged the pastors to work to earn a living so that they won't be a burden to the congregation. If your pastor finds crypto trading and gambling as a source of income which I think it isn't then it's okay by him because it's good to have an independent pastor than a dependent one.

But the thing is, is it really acceptable for a man of God as they do call themselves to indulge in things like this? Pastors and spiritual leaders of a congregation are entrusted with a sacred calling. Their primary responsibility is to guide teach and nurture Thier flock and not to engage in secular pursuit like trading and gambling.

Please what's your take on this?

Why, him no be human being abi you for like make him dey theft church money and they use am better him life. You want am make him they taxe him congregation, the guys is trying to hustle as all of us so make we no criticize am before we go pressure am to go put hand for something wey go bite am later.

The bible isn't again gambling, it didn't call it a sin or anything like that. Bible just warn us against get rich quick schemes and although we can technically classify gambling and crypto into this category but that isn't entirely true.

Trading isn't something that'll make you to get money fast as people think but it needs lots of learning, preparation and consistent to get the results that you want so na hustle him dey do and not a sin.

Just because you are a pastor doesn't stop you from doing lucrative things to make money, cryptocurrency is an opportunity for everyone to take advantage of. As a pastor it's very important to be independent, don't rely on the tithes and offerings of members as a way to sustain yourself, you can study and gain more knowledge about Bitcoin or altcoins trades then start up with a moderate capital. But you must ensure to have something else as a backup plan Incase you lose money In the market, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Well I think I will say that the pastor is not a genuine pastor. because I don't see the reason why a called man of God we think of going into trading and gambling at the same time. Noing fully well that trading and gambling aren't meant for pastor's due to the risk and also the losses that are involved in it, because normally a genuine man of God used to see people's that are into gambling as people that are not responsible. However I think I would not be surprise because some pastors that we are seeing today aren't real man of God.

I don't know wetin concern Bitcoin trading and your religion. You for just ask if it is wrong for a religious leader to have money and do business with money because Bitcoin is just money. I don't think there is any connection between Bitcoin and religion and I feel that people who try to bring religion into Bitcoin are doing it out of ignorance. Trading na wetin everybody dey do, you buy something small money, you sell bigger money collect the profit. Be it garri, be it rice or beans, na still the same principle. How come buying Bitcoin lower price and waiting to sell at higher price to make small change go come turned into problem wey go involve religion and faith?
It's not bad for a religious person to want to have knowledge of Bitcoin or trading. What I know that are preached against in religious places is gambling, reason being that a lot of people don't gamble responsibly, so most of the stories people know are negative ones - people getting addicted. And indeed, if his congregation hears he's gambling, they might frown at it because it takes a lot of convincing for you to tell some religious people that gambling responsibly is not a sin.
Gambling responsibly is a choice; you do it with a budget, you have your time for it.

But Bitcoin trading or trading or wanting to get involved in the crypto space, I'm not seeing anything wrong with it. He's not supposed to be eating congregation money; the money from the church is supposed to go for God's work, like helping the poor, helping those in the hospital. So, if you see a pastor buying houses, cars, everything with congregation money - that means he's opened a source of income under the pretense of being a pastor.

So, I don't know why you'll say, despite having a large congregation, he's not making money. He's not supposed to be milking the people. If he's actually a preacher of the gospel, a preacher of God, he's supposed to be giving the money he gets from the church to help God's ministry. That's how all preachers in the Bible were; they giving back to society.
So, if you must, give your pastor the right knowledge about Bitcoin trading and let him do it legally.

Irrespective of whatever calling anyone has, it doesn't stop them from exercising their franchise or fulfil their heart desires. We humans have a choice and that's what distinguishes us from animals in the wild.
I do not hold a grudge against the pastor for trying out other means to make wealth, but I think with the right knowledge and information, the pastor would be able to properly decide if he wishes to continue gambling or trading.
I doubt trading is immoral and I doubt gambling is too, unless where it is done without conscience.

With gambling I cannot give a particular judgment because even in the circular world where political leaders are been picked they make sure you aren't involved in such habits as it endangers the entrustment of public funds with you as a leader but then there are still some personal preferences around it but as it has to do with trading, I don't there's anything wrong with it, provided he's skilled enough and has the wright knowledge needed to trade, he can make good profits off the market which will in turn be used to further his ministries without having to put the burden on his congregation.

As a pastor most expecially in this part of the world where  churches and mosque are everywhere, what's the maximum amount of time you spend in the Church or mosque per week? It's usually less than 30% of your time and what then happens to the remaining time? will you sit back and wait for church members to bring food to your table when you could also sit back in your office and do some analysis and get a good amount of money? It's totally understandable if trading is not your thing but regardless, staying idle should be out of the equation because even the Bible you believe in warn against idleness and any thing of it kind.

The only thing I feel it's inappropriate that a pastor should be found doing is engaging in gambling. The reason why I'm against it and feel it's not appropriate is that it's clearly spelt out that gambling is not a thing for Christians and considering how addictive it can be, it's only best that it never be seen among them.

I like how you put things clearly bro. I never comot for naija before and I cannot tell whether na like this e dey for outside. The rate at which our so called man of God dey rely on congregation contributions to survive is very alarming to be honest with ourselves. Hardly, you will see a pastor with another side hustle, they completely rely on tithe and offering from church members. What will happen if your church members decide to change church or stop giving tithe? I like how some of us refuse to be brainwashed with their normal "sow seed" scope to collect money from our hand. It's high time they get to know that pastor is not a job and there's nothing wrong in finding alternative side hustle.

Let put aside gambling since there's a lot of controversies surrounding it. I never come across a verse in Bible that forbid gambling thou but that's not what we want to discuss now. Trading is a good alternative if he can endure because at your comfort of your room you can be making some money with just your right tools. Time management is the only thing he needs so trading should not conflict or distract him from delivering church service. I believe the risky part of it will be explained to him in details by any trainer he meets.

Being a pastor doesn't mean you shouldn't learn valuable skills that would increase your financial capacity,  Don't try to get religion mixed up with career. In order for you not to be dependent on your members as a pastor you must have a source of income. It's definitely not wrong for a pastor to learn how to trade Bitcoin or altcoins. Crypto requires a lot of time to learn so asa pastor it might be challenging to actually focus on this due to the engagements and activities you might have in the church but if it's something you want to do and it's important you will make out time for it.

It is not wrong, Bitcoin is made for every one irrespective of who you are, trading is not an illegal business for a man of God to do . In as much as whatever trading he wants to involve himself into is genuine,he needs to do it for the survival of himself and his family, a real man of God does not rely on his congregation offering,if he has to do that that means he his no longer doing what the Holy book says,a Pastor is to preach the word of God and leading the people to him,not leading their money to his pocket, that is why you see some men of God getting richer while their members goes poor, they don't need to solely rely on their members for their livelihood. Whatever business or work that is legal and not sin in the site of God,they are free to do .
Trading is an advance method of buying and selling, you are buying asset, storing and accumulating it for yourself for future purpose for more profit in other for you to be rich, how is it bad.
Gambling is what a man of God should not go into, but Trading Bitcoin is a welcome ideas, which will even create more time for him to do the work of God, the first person that taught me trading was a Pastor before I joined Bitcoin forum, he taught me very well, the class was about four to five
hours per day for almost one month, infact pastors are good to teach Bitcoin, because it will easily spread faster ,and since their congregation believe in them.

Being a pastor dose not mean you should not be financially fit, you don't serve the lord with an empty stomach. The way it is now, all pastor should be paid and well taking care, this helps them stay focused and have enough time to prepare them selves fit in spiritually.

I should see nothing wrong with a pastor trading, as long it is not what is meant for the church but his own personal funds. There is no crime in trading, no extra function that involves operating with illegal parties. If the congregation does not enjoy his divided attention to help his for his finance then they should by all means sort his needs.

Choice of gambling may not be spiritually wrong but in terms of morals and conduct, it's best to avoid given attention.

Even Peter way dey preach the gospel of Christ for bible was a fisherman so we should not make it look as if clergymen don't need to do other jobs apart from working in the house of God. I think Christians are the ones misinterpreting the bible because they feel that a core man of God doesn't need to involve in anything else apart from the proceeds they get from the church which is a very wrong mentality of people. If a man of God walks up to you for guides or counsel about crypto trading or even gambling don't see it as a weird behaviour, they are like normal humans as well the only difference is that they are more devoted in the things of God than other people. We don't need to condemn them simply because they engage in what others are doing to make a living inasmuch as it is genuine.
