You think gambling is a legitimate for pastor to make money? No, is not a genuine place for pastor to make money, I don't think d person is a pastor because many region use to preach against gambling in d church and mosque which it will be difficult for me to agree with u that pastor met u to teach him gambling. For pastor to meet u to teach him about bitcoin trading, I think it is possible in our country because it will help pastor to make legitimate money to grow his church and not to depend on members offering and tithe made for d church, is not a sin for Christians and Muslims to have d knowledge of bitcoin because is a decentralized currency which anybody that have funds can invest to earn income wen d price start rising in d market.
Una dey talk o shuu. First, gambling and crypto trading nor be the same thing at all. For Islam, them strongly condemn Bitcoin na why their followers nor dey do am, the ones wey dey run am na on a kum kum. Bible nor mention anything concern gambling or bitcoin trading as sin. Na our religious leaders bring the teachings say those things bad, just like the way them teach us say tattoos na sin. E better make pastor dey play bet dey use am dey see front than for am to come dey extort him members up and down in the name of tithe and church project.

Good day my country people, I observed something today which I felt I should share in the forum.
Well it's about a pastor who comes to me and some friends of mine to know little about trading, which my friends and I tried our best to give him the knowledge he can to start trading.
I don't think if there is anything wrong if a pastor want to lean trading. Trading of bitcoin is not a crime, it's just like the normal kind of business where anyone could venture into and make profit, provided it's not a decietfull way of making Money.

But funny enough he's also interested in sports betting too , he's congregation has quite the number but he stills struggle financially, so he's ready to start doing anything legitimate for money.
That I will not encourage. A pastor is not sorpos to gamble, it's not biblical and it's not advisable for a person with a hug cong
But the thing is, is it really acceptable for a man of God as they do call themselves to indulge in things like this?

Pastors and spiritual leaders of a congregation are entrusted with a sacred calling. Their primary responsibility is to guide teach and nurture Thier flock and not to engage in secular pursuit like trading and gambling
Of course spiritual leader where entrusted with sacred calling but the question now is that how many of them are doing the right thing? Or how many of them are real?

Your pastor is a man as well, no matter how filled they're in the Holy Spirit they must eat, drink, and take good care of their family. They are not left without any responsibilities.

However, the bible obligated them to nurture and grow the Christian faith, and in turn, they should be blessed with the things of the earth. This means the members of the church are ordained by God to take good care of their spiritual leader. If a pastor is being blessed with riches by his members, then he is not meant to associate in other activities aside from the work of Christ.

I won't blame anyone who partakes in gambling activities. Since the Pastor has a financial need, he ought to find a way through it because he needs money. Gambling does not affect religion, so if he is into gambling then am cool with it. As long as his addictions does not push him to steal what's meant for the church.

Yes, that is their Primary responsibility to the church. And in turn, the Church has their primary responsibility to the man God has been using to bless them. Should they wallow in poverty because they are called pastors? Any man with flesh and blood would want to make money for his side. So, Pastors are allowed to do any other business.

Op, make I ask you this question first, abeg pastors no be human being them be? I no see wetin dey bad if a man of God decides to hustle to get extra income instead of lying to people to get money in the name of preaching to them. Na only for naija we dey take some things seriously if not I  no sure say we for they talk about things like this because wetin person decides to do with em money so long as the person no dey steal e no supposed concern anybody.

Concerning the area of gambling, nobody wey no supposed gamble so long as the person no dey underage and the person no dey go steal to gamble. Even men of God needs a woof money and e get one place say for bible wey say God go turn the invention of the wicked ones to our usefulness abeg make people wey sabi Bible well well fine where e dey for bible.

Good point because as a pastor gambling is highly unethical for him and it will be a big disappointment if his congregation gets to know about his gambling involvement, it's it wrong for a pastor to look for his own source of income, but gambling can not be considered as a source of income for any reason since it outcome is highly unpredictable and could land him in a more sever financial conditions that could be worst than the state he feels he is right now.

Trading cryptocurrency is still a better way to earn legitimately compared to gambling because while gambling is forbided in our religion practice, trading on the other hand is somewhat strait forward a d could be categorised as a legit means of generating income even though trading also have it own risk to bear with.

You need to understand say Bitcoin and altcoins no be crime and dem no be sin, so anybody fit to trade cryptocurrency including religious leaders. People de get a lot of misconceptions about Bitcoin, dem de think say na tool to take launder money, others de see am as a Ponzi scheme wey go crash one day and people money go burn. E de important for people wey get interest for crypto matters to research am well to understand say na genuine business im be. Aldo we get plenty scam cryptocurrencies but dat one no mean say we go label di entire crypto space as scam. Bitcoin and top altcoins wey don proof dem reputations no be scams. Apart from Bitcoin you need to DYOR before you go buy any altcoins so dat you no go enter one chance for inside scam projects.

Who go please di world, na people de talk say make pastors de work so dat dem no go depend on dem congregation to survive. Abeg any pastor wey de work and de make im own money no go too de tempted to scam im members with fake prophecies to collect dem money. If you be pastor and you no de rich, instead of scamming your members with fake prosperity promises and de collect dem money, de better say you find work to take care of your financial needs.

We need to understand say crypto trading de volatile and no be something wey we de sure say we must make steady income inside am. E de better to trade as an alternative source of income because e de risky.

I know really know the kind perception wey you get about your pastors or the so called "man of God" but I would like you to change such thinking about pastors or Gospel teachers. He's just a man like you and nothing special about him, so he can as well feel the need to make some passive income from trading or gambling.

The fact wey you talk say him get enough congregation is something that I don't seem to understand, even though this part na off topic I go still like to put it to you that nothing concern the number of people for church with pastor pocket and na this kind of thinking dey cause down fall for a lot of people thinking that their pastors should be rich off the church's pocket (offering) and that's what others have done bring the larger number of the society to relative poverty and some to absolutely poverty.

But the thing is, is it really acceptable for a man of God as they do call themselves to indulge in things like this?

So he shouldn't make money outside the church money ? or a pastor is not supposed to earn a living because he's a pastor?.
Is trading moral bad? is gambling also morally bad? religion can play a role in gambling but what of trading does it play any role on it?

And who say so?
The geographical area where you find yourself might have shifted perception of Christianity to think that Preachers of the gospel are not supposed to work for their living.

Additionally, if he is willing and knowledgeable to accept trading risks then their should be no much thoughts on his religious status.
