Why would someone consider Libra as top altcoins killer, if altcoins were created with more hype than Libra that didn't bring the top altcoins down. The hype of Libra will only get the attention of investors but will not bring down the other altcoins. Each altcoins is designed differently, and may exist together at the same time.

popular doesn't mean good and safe right ?
so, thats not a reasonable reason for libra to take down the old and great crypto project such as Ethereum my friend
But, in the current era , Who is not know about Facebook?
All people in the world has been used this app for long time ago.
So, Libra will very strong.

its a stablecoin as far as i know. strong or not it will be a stablecoin and pegged to whichever currency that may be.
Libra will be known thats a fact. i'm still goong to be using btc and altcoins compare to them unless the bears once again rule the market.

a platform yet stablecoin. somebody could comeup another idea from this Libra to develop a much superior project.

we need a stablecoin that will be widely known and accepted, for mass adoption of other crypto currencies, i do think that facebook had that in mind, to cover conversion process from crypto to fiat and vice versa, that market will be huge in the future, and they want to be part of it

I don't think so. But I hope it will be a bull reanimator. At least, I wish so. And then I'm expecting same move from Google or Apple or Amazon.

Libra will be direct competitor to usdt, tusd, usdc, gemini dollar and other fiat backed stablecoins so the companies behind all these stablecoins could be in stress due to libra but as far as real cryptocurrencies like ethereum are concerned they got no competition will libra rather they will get the boost as new money will move to crypto from large fb userbase.

I am sure that they can still survive by their own unique strategy and marketing techniques as the team behind that big projects are more seasoned compare to the coming Libra coin by Facebook.

Even if Facebook is very popular right now, there is a big chance that they cannot do more in crypto industry especially that they are going to comply most of the papers by different countries unlike the current crypto currencies right now that has given us the freedom in crypto world without asking for documents.

All this coins I listed will now get real competition. A company that does a promotion and buys off competition. Bitcoin and Monero dont do that. So so far Tron, XRP and co had no fear. Now they should be afraid.

All projects are good, you would still from the TOP 100 took all the projects and said that they all kill each other,or each other's enemies! There is no more successful projects, the more successful the market itself, and of course the most important thing is to buy different projects and not one, since how many times it was that take one project, and then he babah and the bottom, and all the investments cat under the smark

Is Libra the Ethereum + Ripple + EOS + TRON + ....   killer?

https://developers.libra.org/docs/assets/papers/the-libra-blockchain.pdf

From paper we see what they try to do and is a combination of coins I mentioned. Can they survive in a war against Facebook?
The proposed facebook coin is a stable coin, the coins you referred to has different use case from the proposed libra coin, ripple is used by bank, ethereum is smart contract for virtually all tokens. Libra is not their killer in any way.
Totally agree with you, like my post before. Libra is stable coin like theter and im sure that Libra cant kill these crypto coin. Ya maybe if Libra going to an ICO ill go there to support

Very big excitement around Libra, at the moment it is difficult to make any predictions about how this coin will show itself.  (ETH, TRX, Ripple, EOS) these coins have worked well in the cryptocurrency market and the developers are constantly working to improve their product.  I do not think that Libra can create strong competition to the above coins, and certainly not at the initial stage.
After read the whitepaper i suggest one thing -  Libra is stable coin like theter - and in my opinion i agree with you, these Coin (ETH, TRX, etc) its the meta in crypto, and im sure that Libra cant make these coin dead

It possible Libra to take down the most 2-10 altcoins.
Because Facebook is very popular in the all country.

in the last year, ethereum didn’t show itself at all, so for new investors in this market it has no value at all - they will choose other projects

There are some things about libras whitepaper that really annoy me.
For example, they state very clearly that they will work within the existing institutions.
Basically, they will be fully centralized.
Annoying, but not surprising from something like facebook.

Also, when you take a step back and look at it, it is basically just paypal with blockchain attached to it.
It doesn't seem to do anything that paypal already does.
It doesn't even take full advatange of what blockchain can do.

So actually, I see traditional payment methods as its biggest competition, not eth, ripple, eos, etc.
And in that scope, actually, I don't think it can compete.
Even big companies like google have had failed product launches you know.

If paypal is partnering with them Libra might not be used for gambling, that's ain't the selling point of real coin. And I read this in a related facebook coin thread that Libra may probably be reversible just like paypal. That's yet not a confirmed information but I got that hunch too. These points may not be a characteristic of a coin that will kill ETH, EOS and TRON. These 3 are in the major success in the making and Libra is just one that will compete these 3.

If you ask me I will never trust Libra in the long term.. too much-centralized power. I mean if I had to choose a currency controlled by a central authority why not stick to fiat currency and trade in forex?? And did you read their whitepaper?  they can overturn some delegated decisions. I'm not being part of that crap.

no because most of the altcoins you named here like ETH and XRP are already dead so there is nothing left to kill. they are going to continue to exist however and get pumped and dumped because that is their whole purpose.

Libra on the other hand will continue to grow only because it has a big company behind it with billions to spend on it and to advertise their stable coin. but it still won't be able to compete with anything that is decentralized.
