Despite bait-like question, i guess it's good for people to check that from time to time why people aren't talking about it. Litecoin serves a purpose as a testing groud for bitcoin tech, as architechture of it is similar. But it isn't really revolutionary or media sexy to create enough buzz.

Litecoin gets its moment in news when it spikes, but that's about it. I can't recommend it, mostly because i never understood why it would be worth something. It's basically another bitcoin. It had cheap transactions in the past so people were using it to transfer wealth between exchanges. But now we have faster and cheaper options, so to me it has run out of the purpose it was best at.

In theory i like the idea that it never raised any money via private sale or some crappy ico, and it has stayed honest to cryptocurrency ethos. But i just don't see enough shining future for it, and i wouldn't recommend it to friend.

It doesn't mean that when a certain coin is not being talked about, it's dead already but it's more like not relevant to the current trend or narrative that we have on the market. It's always about the narrative when it comes to being talked about.

You would consider it dead if there's no volume and no one is trading it anymore. It's not the case with LTC.
Yes that's right, it doesn't mean that a project is not talked about so they are claimed to be dead, if we use the network on Litecoin it can still be used, indicating that it is still alive, but indeed when no one is talking about it is normal because it doesn't have many project developments that match the discussion of the progress of the narrative in the cryptocurrency industry, it's just that in my opinion Litecoin lacks popularity because there are few demographics or adoption in terms of use casa the crypto hunters are not really looking at it.

This is the same as market performance in general, we see a definite trend that people will prefer to the field that has a trend at this time for their use.

I wouldn't consider Litecoin, dead too, because it still has volume and people are still trading it, the issue is that it's just not trending right now, we have a lot of projects that are in the limelight in this road to bull run. Remember that sometime last year the same question was being asked about Solana, some where even speculating whether it's dead, but fast forward to now, it's the most talked about altcoin in the crypto space, so I believe that Litecoin dev. team can become innovative and restore it's lost glory. Litecoin, remains a top altcoin, as far as I'm concerned.

Does it look like a dead coin to you?
I have only asked a question.
For me, Litecoin is still a coin to be considered because once it was very famous.
But it has lost fame recently, it is no doubt.

It seems that:
BTC & ETH fees go up -> LTC price goes up.
BTC & ETH fees go down -> LTC price goes down.

Obviously not a 100% correlation but it just feels that way to me.

But anyway, looking at how many people use it and the volume it does not dead or even close to it.

It's just not "exciting" it does it's job so there is nothing to talk about so nobody talks about it.

Is Litecoin dead in your opinion?

No it might seem that not a lot of people are talking about it but it’s literally the next altcoin to be considered for etf after ethereum. The etf approval might not actually come until after a year or maybe years but the fact that it is being considered is huge enough as it is already. I think its investors can still gain profits from it albeit I am not one.

I'm not a LiteCoin Investor fan because I haven't Invested in it for once but I'm aware that it has been playing a strong role holding in the AltCoins industry which some friends that's mostly Invested on.
Op, I can only tell that despite how popular some Coins maybe, they can still be functional and doing good in the crypto markets without showcasing its influences.
Actually, there had been numerous number of new project coins trending in the Crypto markets time after times and their overhyping sometimes subdues the influences of other coins. Maybe that'd be what the LiteCoin is far encountering and not basically that it's a dead coin.

You can as clearetour doubt out here that you can find Litecoin on trend in the Crypto coins market cap.

Ranked 20th coin on CMC, how can you conclude that Litecoin is dead? If people are not talking about it that doesn't mean it is losing its big community. People still prefer using it for payments as it has good speed and fewer transaction fees. With the speculation of a Litecoin ETF getting approved, we recently saw a surge in its price also due to the short bull run. For now, it is one of the cryptocurrencies that should be on the list of any intelligent investors.

Well Litecoin did lose alot of its profits now in this correction. It did lose more then 25% of the marketcap in just last 7 days. But it is still a token in my crypto portfolio it is not dead.
There is still fast transaction speeds for it. And the fees to send LTC is only just a few satoshis. There is double the transaction size on the network so it means whales moving coins.

There's just that not many development in litecoin that there's not that many to talk about and just because there's not a lot of people that are talking about litecoin doesn't mean that it's gone for good, got to remember that people are still invested in it so they can't just abandon that and they can't afford to do it with the lawsuits and the money that they're going to let go off, litecoin is here to stay whether you like it or not. Looking at their current price might not help but I'm sure that you can still invest in it and see yourself hodling with some hope that you'll be getting your money back, just don't put in too much into it because it's not as hot right now.

Litecoin is not dead, but I believe it has had problems to establish new time highs and wake up the hype of the public for it's implied potential to be used widely as a faster version of Bitcoin. But the volume of commerce and trading suggest this is a an alternative currency which is very far from being dead or completely abandoned by either the public or exchanges.

If you want to know who a dead coin actually looks like, then you should take a look at shitcoins around the market and failed memecoins whose price through time get flat lined in a few months after launch, losing close to the 100% of their market value, leaving people holding the bags forever. Litecoin may not be as bullish as other coins which may have more to offer in terms of technology and smarth contracts, but it will never leave people holding the bags forever as shitcoins do.  Wink

Just like pancakeswap, you need to know that many investors are removing their money and putting it in an investment that is going to give to profits within a space of time. No one ever cares about the utility of a token again. Many of the good crypto projects that was able to survive the market are not doing well like the way they used to. Many people are tired of putting their funds in a dormant tokens because it's going to take the ages before things is finally done that will help the project go bullish.
We can survived in the market because we choose to stay with promising projects. The bullish season is harvest, we withdraw our gigantic profits and forever stay grateful for the steps taken. Investors no longer waste their precious time on projects that have been consider abandon, after this particular LTC project have made quite some good pumps in past years and I think it's time for these new projects to make theirs. Investors are not dormant but will be moving from one level to another inother to seek excellent outcome.

Not at all.  The problem is we are living in a crypto get rich quick time.  People would rather put their money into dogcatcowcoin than something that is technically superior to all of those "projects" combined.  Once all the dust settles on those fads people always come back to the viable projects.  Not dead just quietly moving forward.

No.
Although its overall move is sluggish, it's not dead at all. It's still a good alternative for transfers and the community that it has established is still supporting it. That's why I don't think that litecoin is dead at all, and I don't think it will come to that point because just like Dogecoin, there's already a dear community that's supporting it no matter how sluggish and slow it moves.

It's still one of the preferred coin to make payments but as we all know investors give more attention to the price growth more than anything so it's buried under the trends after trends so you don't see much about it anywhere. LTC has potential to grow but still it's not good in terms of investment perspective.

How do you define a dead coin?

While Litecoin is certainly not as popular or widely-discussed as it once was, I would not call it dead by any means.  True, it doesnt generate the same excitement or headlines as in its early days.  But, it remains one of the top 20 cryptocurrencies by Market Cap Ranking.  And compared to other altcoins its transaction volume is still quite significant.  There remains an active, devoted community supporting the coin, in addition to developers continuing work to enhance the underlying technology. So, no! Not dead.

If LTC is not dead, do you think it is no longer traded on the exchange?
LTC is not dead, it's just that people don't think about investing in this coin anymore. I feel that this coin has experienced a dead trend because there is not much talk about it, LTC has been halving but it doesn't have any impact, or is it not a rally yet?

Now LTC is losing far to the new altcoins because the concept is different while many investors choose coins that are full of functions against their use, I don't know what the future is clearly not saving LTC assets.

As the value of the coins in crypto currency fluctuates. I can't call litecoin dead despite its value as a coin. Maybe the coin has been in a coma for a long time in terms of value, so the coin has gone into a coma. I think Litecoin still has a strong, solid foundation. Granted, litecoin isn't getting as much hype as some other projects at the moment. But I am optimistic, since the coin has been in the market for a long time and the market is likely to grow and develop in the future. It may take a little longer for the market to turn around.

Based on the price history of LTC, the ATH was recorded in 2021, and since then till now, the price has not really been so encouraging for investors, but we cannot expect every coin to act in the same manner as Bitcoin or every other altcoin. Since the last ATH, the price has already dropped by 80%, but that doesn't mean the coin is dead. There are still a lot of investors and traders who are buying and selling LTC every day, and even some casinos accept deposits in LTC. Lite Coin is among the coins with a low transaction fee and fast transaction confirmation. Upon seeing this topic, it reminded me to check the coin price, which I did, and I also checked the unfilled orders, which you can see below. You will discover that there are many people who are buying this coin in quantity, and so many people too have unexecuted sell orders. LTC is not dead, though the price is not impressive, but if you are holding, you can just keep holding; maybe you're going to get impressed by the price one day.
