What will you prefer in this economy to maintain a balance.

To be always busy working, be paid well for needs and wants, but no time for family and other things. Or not always busy, moderately paid enough for needs alone and enough time for family and other activities?
It depends on the type of job that will make me not to have time for my family, if it's a short term job, the answer is YES but if it's a long term job, the answer is NO. We can not underestimate the importance of money in the family because every family have bills to pay continuously, without money no family will be happy. If you have all the time to spend with you family and you don't have money to take care of basic needs like food, shelter, school fees and utility bills, then there's no fun in having all the time in the world for your family. Instead of staying with family without money to provide for their needs it's better to get a job that can take you apart from your family, that pays you well to take care of them. A breadwinner that finds himself in such a situation should stay in the job but should be on the lookout for a job that will make him spend more time with family.

Bro, no one wants to work, work and work, we all want that money flawlessly and peacefully. But the situation can't warrant it for many, that's why you see them doing the hard work in most cases. And this hard work most time pays them a meagre amount, that's the most painful part of it all.

However, opportunity, smartness and creativity matter here, but people can't have them the same way. Above all, I choose more money and less time, after all, it is money we are all looking for. Smiley

Having time for family is important but if what will make them have a very better life and everything they needed will cost a person a limited time to spend with them  because of work I can do that because even if you are always with your family every minutes without food on the table the person will become a lazy father were his children will be comparing him to other fathers who are doing well to help the family, though the option of not always busy is also nice but since is for only needs alone I will not go for it  because after basic needs there are other essential things the family will need, so the option is too limited for a responsibility man.

Later one. I figured this one out on my own very early in my life. Although I should add that, if I am really passionate about some thing, and it earns me good money then I'll continue doing it even if it occupies all my time.

people will choose the more money and less time will realize soon enough how this is not the best choice ever time is one thing that we can never recover when lost and people grow and change over time and if you do not give enough attention to them you will be missing a lot and when you are old and rich you will regret spending more time on work
Read your post once again, you said that people will grow and change over time, then what's the point to give attention when in the end they will grow and change over time? there's no guarantee after you give attention, they will always be in your side.

There were many cases wifes choose richer men and kids choose their partner over their parents.

well to me if you could do both without sacrificing one for the other then i think that would be the most ideal situation here
It's not possible, except if you born from billionaire parents.

Unfortunately, a lot of people fall into either of the two cases but that is never a balanced life because the primary aspiration of any individual is to work hard, be paid commensurable to your time and effort and still have time for family and leisure. This is the only way the money can be properly enjoyed and life made meaningful. You don't have to sacrifice one aspect of your life for money, so my choice is not among those two options base on what I have already stated. I want to work hard, get paid well and have time to rest and enjoy with family.

This is my preference.

Family matters more than how much you receive. If you lose your family in pursuit of money you will realize that no amount of money you have or economic status you achieve can buy genuine family love. Be there for your kids and your wife. That's really what there is to life.

You were not created to slave away at your job in pursuit of money. If you die while at it, you will be replaced immediately.

I am also married and have children, I will also choose a job with a moderate salary and spend time with my family. But honestly, I also feel a little regretful about giving up a high-paying job and the chance to become richer. Because in order for us to be able to take care of and give our family the best life, the only way is for us to have a lot of money. If we don't have much money, don't expect our children to have a good life and a bright future.

In general, everything has its price and everyone has their own choice so no matter what choice is made, no one is wrong.

As long as the conditions are right, I’m happy to accept it. To me, money is just a tool for spending – it’s the best investment when it buys time and convenience. Like the old Chinese saying goes, 'You can’t take money with you when you die,’ it’s really just a resource that flows, not something we should let control our lives.

I choose the second options because I can have enough time for family and other activities. That is what many people wants but unfortunately, only some people who can get that while the other still struggle to make more money. But we must realize that we can not always busy working because we need to spare our time for our family. They are deserve for our attention especially our kids who wants to meet us and play together.

If we can not do right now, we can try to spare our time for them and doing a small activities with them. I am sure they will appreciate what we do in our busy days.

of course they will appreciate us, it is difficult to make time for family and children, working every day is a choice even so I always make time on the weekend to meet the children, and it helps cheer them up and it is a choice even though the time with them is only for a moment, but it is very valuable with that the communication is much better.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
One thing that people forget while chasing their dreams is mental health, that will adversely affect your long term life goals and destabilize whatever you have achieved till date.

So a moderately paying job with enough time for family is what I would always take up. Keep hope that in future every post is going to go up and you might be able to push for an increase in salary with time.

But giving time to family is of utmost importance because knowing that you have a happy family back home to return to is a cushion you can never buy with money.

There's no jobs that can pay moderately enough for needs alone and having more time.

Let's say the minimum salary in your country is $500 per month, you have a family with 2 kids, you earn $1K per month and claim it's enough because your family can still eat and life until now.

Well, technically $1K isn't enough for normal life, but you're reducing the life quality or something to make it enough, it should only for 2 persons, you need to earn at least $2K if you want to have a family with 2 kids.

Now answer me, do you think there's an easy job that can make you earn 4x from the minimum salary?

Due to the harsh economic conditions in my country, most parents have to do more than one job to cover expenses. Many of them don't have time to spend with the children they gave birth to. Observing the pressures that come with child raising, most educational institutions have taken advantage of this situation. Now there are boarding schools for children that are less than six years old. These children are kept under the care of minders and their parents will usually pick them up on weekends. These young children who are supposed to be nurtured by parents are now put under the custody of people who might not have the required child raising skills.

One might not be aware that the child is been molested or maltreated. This is why we are seeing an increase in violence because the society are raising children who lack proper home training. I prefer to live a moderate life than to have all the money and allow strangers to groom my children.

Balance, that's what important in life, you can have a hectic schedule and paid handsomely, but still have time for your family. Work 5 days a week and the 2 days you can spend it with them. So for me that will be the best scenario for me, and when I used to work in a corporate world before, that's what I got, great place to work and life balance. Sometimes I will just go and work 3 days a week 12 hours and then have a lot of time for my family. Of course, you might go for moderately paid, but everyone is aiming for higher salary so for me I would love the setup that I have before. Definitely there are pressures in corporate jobs, but still though, still up to you on how to handle it and go home happy seeing your family and not bringing your job at home.

Life is too short to be spent chasing what doesn't really matter to me. The most important things in life for me are food, clothing, shelter, education, health, and other basic needs. I don't care so much about living in luxury or going on expensive vacations.

I want to spend quality time doing what I love. The pleasure of spending quality time with family and friends is priceless. The time I spend interacting with nature is highly inspirational.

Give me a moderate job in which the pay can cover my basic needs and let me have so much free time to do what I like.

In this economy, I am okay with less time and more money. But this should not be permanent because at some point of course I am hoping to have made enough money to be able to live comfortably while working less. I know this will be possible by setting up businesses, investing and making sure I have sources of income generated passively.

But right now, this is not yet possible so I can be okay with more money and less time for now.

For me, family is no. 1 and work is a must, to meet needs and a normal life.

The most beautiful words that are always missed after we come home from work from our children are when they shout "Hooray, daddy's home" all the fatigue when we work is paid off mentally.

I love my family.

Time for sure, its something we cannot buy and as we get older we long for more time.

Money is essential too, without it its difficult to live comfortably.

I knew people who worked hard, worked long hours to try save money to buy property,
life passed them by for a few years. That was not appealing to me.

I also had friends who were musicians, they didnt wirk a day job but earned little
money from music but they had a great life with plenty of time to do what they
want, that was appealing to me but not sustainable for me.

Now I actually have both some money and more time after semi-retiring before retirement
age. This is my preference, enough money to pay for essentials (helped with Bitcoin) and
a good amount of time to do stuff I dreamed of for a few years.

As long as the money is due to provide my family with all their needs I think I Will go for that option instead of being always busy working, the essence of you working isn't to provide food and shelter for your family anyone who chooses his job over his family I think the person does not know what he's doing. Actually I think their are people who can still accept such offer that's those people who does not know the value of a family for me I prefer being paid moderately as Long as it will go a very long way for my family and I is perfectly okay" by me, I'm pretty sure my wife and my kids will like it as well, instead of me abandoning them all in the name of wanting to maintain a balance.
