What will you prefer in this economy to maintain a balance.

To be always busy working, be paid well for needs and wants, but no time for family and other things. Or not always busy, moderately paid enough for needs alone and enough time for family and other activities?
Balance, that's what important in life, you can have a hectic schedule and paid handsomely, but still have time for your family. Work 5 days a week and the 2 days you can spend it with them. So for me that will be the best scenario for me, and when I used to work in a corporate world before, that's what I got, great place to work and life balance. Sometimes I will just go and work 3 days a week 12 hours and then have a lot of time for my family. Of course, you might go for moderately paid, but everyone is aiming for higher salary so for me I would love the setup that I have before. Definitely there are pressures in corporate jobs, but still though, still up to you on how to handle it and go home happy seeing your family and not bringing your job at home.

I choose the second options because I can have enough time for family and other activities. That is what many people wants but unfortunately, only some people who can get that while the other still struggle to make more money. But we must realize that we can not always busy working because we need to spare our time for our family. They are deserve for our attention especially our kids who wants to meet us and play together.

If we can not do right now, we can try to spare our time for them and doing a small activities with them. I am sure they will appreciate what we do in our busy days.

Life is too short to be spent chasing what doesn't really matter to me. The most important things in life for me are food, clothing, shelter, education, health, and other basic needs. I don't care so much about living in luxury or going on expensive vacations.

I want to spend quality time doing what I love. The pleasure of spending quality time with family and friends is priceless. The time I spend interacting with nature is highly inspirational.

Give me a moderate job in which the pay can cover my basic needs and let me have so much free time to do what I like.

In this economy, I am okay with less time and more money. But this should not be permanent because at some point of course I am hoping to have made enough money to be able to live comfortably while working less. I know this will be possible by setting up businesses, investing and making sure I have sources of income generated passively.

But right now, this is not yet possible so I can be okay with more money and less time for now.

For me, family is no. 1 and work is a must, to meet needs and a normal life.

The most beautiful words that are always missed after we come home from work from our children are when they shout "Hooray, daddy's home" all the fatigue when we work is paid off mentally.

I love my family.

Time for sure, its something we cannot buy and as we get older we long for more time.

Money is essential too, without it its difficult to live comfortably.

I knew people who worked hard, worked long hours to try save money to buy property,
life passed them by for a few years. That was not appealing to me.

I also had friends who were musicians, they didnt wirk a day job but earned little
money from music but they had a great life with plenty of time to do what they
want, that was appealing to me but not sustainable for me.

Now I actually have both some money and more time after semi-retiring before retirement
age. This is my preference, enough money to pay for essentials (helped with Bitcoin) and
a good amount of time to do stuff I dreamed of for a few years.

As long as the money is due to provide my family with all their needs I think I Will go for that option instead of being always busy working, the essence of you working isn't to provide food and shelter for your family anyone who chooses his job over his family I think the person does not know what he's doing. Actually I think their are people who can still accept such offer that's those people who does not know the value of a family for me I prefer being paid moderately as Long as it will go a very long way for my family and I is perfectly okay" by me, I'm pretty sure my wife and my kids will like it as well, instead of me abandoning them all in the name of wanting to maintain a balance.

when young, fit, single and able to work without impacting your life or others, work as much as you like.. but invest in that time
by investing i dont mean live frugally and throw everything into your work and then throw all the money into assets. i also mean invest in the work by learning the job roles above yours, looks for ways to improve your work or improve yourself to get promotions

when you start settling down with a family, due to early investment in improving your income via job prospects or promotions, you can then request less time but know it can still afford you the needs of life

just dont work yourself to death in a low income job that offers no improvement/promotion prospects, where you cant then cut back on hours due to needing to work endlessly even when you start a family or because of starting a family needing to work extra to cover the new costs of living

This is my preference.

Family matters more than how much you receive. If you lose your family in pursuit of money you will realize that no amount of money you have or economic status you achieve can buy genuine family love. Be there for your kids and your wife. That's really what there is to life.

You were not created to slave away at your job in pursuit of money. If you die while at it, you will be replaced immediately.

with more money and less time for your family is not good because you will not be having time to bond with your children and love one's, some people will ask that what is the point to be paid more and spending less time with the people that are important to them because family they say is everything, although because of the complexity of our society, there are people who have a different view about life, there are lots of persons that will jump on this offer without having a second thought, but for me I will prefer a job that will pay me on a moderate level so I can have time as well to bond with my family, because I wouldn't want to raise my children in absenteeism.

The best way to put the question is to first ask how we feel generally with having time for other extra activities, or always engaging in working round the clock, this way we can make input on this topic regardless of our marital status, but with this ops, most of those who have not started a family won't have anything much to say, but in general, individual expectations from life differs, while some see time as invaluable other's sees time as money, but some family is rated over too much Rich's so to such as long as he has money to fend for his basic needs and pay bills, investing in the family morally become something of high esteem to such a person.
