If you take all the advice here and proceed to buy altcoins, not those new altcoins in the market but those that are performing well even in the bear market, then you are in good profit now the first month of 2020 and will eventually make more profit if you keep holding it even after the halving.

You make s good point about some altcoins quenching off the market but that doesn't mean the same situation will happen to all altcoins in the market and with the momentum of the crypto market i strongly believe now it the right time to accumulate more crypto. But, people need to be careful in selecting altcoin and the slot claimed (been among the top 20 on CMC) by an altcoin does make it a good investment.

There is nothing wrong with accumulating coins in fact if you had done so you could be seeing some nice profits right now but I just think the trend of the market is still negative and until the current growth that we are seeing can break completely that tendency then it is better to wait for an even better opportunity, maybe I am wrong and that will not be the first time but even if you are interested only in the top altcoins it seems too soon to see a complete recovery of the market.

Even with the market still going down, you're still doing the best thing that you can do and purchasing more. The cheaper you get in at, the better. All you can really do is keep purchasing until the market turns around. By dollar cost averaging everything you've bought and with the prices down so low on everything, you should be very happy once the market trend reverses. Don't give up on it. Keep buying while everything is cheap. You'll be glad you did. I promise.

Still, the price of altcoin is going down, which it is impossible for us to keep buying those. Whether the altcoin touched their bottom or not still in confusion which market seems not in an upward trend.

That may be true. As I see it, all alts fluctuate according to the price of bitcoin. And now in the charts, bitcoin is at a strong support level and maybe the price of bitcoin will pump sharply from now until the end of 2020. The chart shows that the bears tried to crush the market twice when bitcoin fell. about $ 6k5 and $ 6k4 but it completely failed. so we can understand that the cows in the back are very crowded and the bears are slowly changing their minds. Buying alts now will be less risky.

Buying BTC is a good choice in this bearish market. it is suitable if you wanna hold for long term
but if you just short term trading, it is not good for buying BTC

short term is suitable for altcoin which has high volality. You can get more profit if you understand enough about TA and FA
if not, then dont use high capital or you will lose so much. keeping to learn is the key

Considering that there are a lot of potential altcoins in the market, we must be keen enough to look for the best.
