legality of online crypto-gambling in countries like the UAE or Saudi Arabia, where traditional gambling is illegal, is a complex issue.
Places where gambling is illegal can easily state any form of gambling is illegal, but when it comes to crypto currencies I think you can get away with it as these are more like a whole different jurisdiction...and besides you are always playing online and I think you can get away with it because they don't have a physical presence....and not forgetting there is an aspect of recognising whether crypto is legal tender or not which also adds complexity to this issue!

Otherwise, no laws means no offence!

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?
If no gambling law's exist, then this is No man's land and you can't be prosecuted by non existing laws!! Happy days for you buddy Wink

Are there countries actually who have no gambling laws? Because as far as I know, every country certainly has, most particularly for Islamic countries where laws are based on Quran, and all forms of gambling are explicitly banned, online or offline. However, since crypto gambling can be privately done at home online, then even if it’s illegal, gamblers will definitely find ways on how to access crypto gambling.

There are certain countries who actually legalize crypto gambling but majority still considered it as banned. And until bans are not lifted, people should always stick to its country’s gambling laws, otherwise they will be given proper sanction for breaking those laws.

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?
As far as I know, in almost all countries with a majority Muslim population, any type of gambling is illegal in the country, including online or offline.

So the question for us is, why does gambling in a country make it illegal but it looks like it's legal......!
That's a note and something that is still a mystery at the moment, like what happened in Arabia, if you look at them there are special places where people can gamble physically there, not online, you can find this on the internet.

But if we talk about websites/sites, it's actually long, the point is: not all Muslims obey Islamic law, there are also those who violate legal provisions, for example: in the past, Arab women were not allowed to drive, Now the proof is that women can drive and so on. The rules are changing little by little to suit the times, so it's not surprising that in countries where gambling is illegal for online casinos, the facts are that it seems legal there.

Not because there is no law, it simply means legal.  Remember there is also no law that states that online crypto casino is legal.  Remember when we use the term legal, it is permitted by the law, but in this case, there is no law that define the legality of the said online crypto gambling.

I find this very confusing- it does not necessary mean that a law must be published in order for something to be legal.

Though this may be an extensive topic and discussion, I humbly submit that an act, for it to be considered illegal, must be written down on some sort of mandatory law. We live in a world where laws are more of "prohibitory" rather than "mandatory" only with a couple of exceptions. By applying such, I do think that if there is NO law expressly mandating gambling activities to be illegal, then it is legal perse.

It is going to be a difficult situation if an act, which is not expressly prohibited, suddenly becomes illegal after the consummation of such activity. That would amount to an ex post facto law which is definitely unconstitutional.

Well with all things considered, I still humbly submit that there must be a law expressly prohibiting a specific act for it to become illegal. The absence of such law means that it is indeed, legal in all aspects (though there are exceptional circumstances and examples here).

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

It cannot be considered legal because they are not regulated by the government but since there is no law forbidding the operation of the online crypto-gambling, then it is a free trade for these kind of industry.

They cannot shutdown these crypto-gambling because they don't have any guidelines or law that will state that crypto-online gambling is an illegal activity.  Unless the government had made the regulation about online crypto casinos,  the government has no legal reason to shut down  of forbid any online crypto casino.

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

Yes, gambling may be considered legal without any gambling laws.

Nullum crimen nulla poena sine lege- This means that there is no crime if there is no law punishing it. This is a legal principle which is accepted in most countries that state that a person is not criminally liable for a crime that the law does not prohibit.

By applying this principle, if there is no law expressly prohibiting an act, then it is not a "crime" under the eyes of the law. Again, if there is no law punishing a person from gambling activities, then it may be considered as legal in all its precepts. But to be sure, you have the obligation to show that there exists no law that expressly prohibits gambling.

There is a lot of disagreement with what you say, if there is a place like a country that does not have any type of laws, what can be illegal? Obviously the game is legal, and if the game is prohibited in other countries it is due a lot to the options they have in countries that are very focused on their religion and do not allow it, but it is for those reasons, or because in reality it may be a whim of who is in the position of president, even so those who talk about the illegality of a casino, I imagine they are referring to Scam casinos.

There are many scam casinos out there, thanks to our forum things can be found out much better about authentic and legal casinos, because I have taken as a premise that if the casino does not have a thread Ann here in the forum, then for me it is not worthy trustworthy, even if it is a casino that is authentic or legitimate, I would not trust it, my premise is always to first review those that are present in the forum, and the rest those that are seen on Google, I would have to do a lot of research before making a deposit.

Don't joke with my Daughter
Every country has their law and regulations concerning gambling at first they will have to look if gambling is legal or not before looking into laws and of course no gambling company will operates in any country where gambling is not legal and if such gambling site is found over there it could be ceased by their authorities irrespective of whom is operating it. So, gambling law is considered mostly especially countries that secretly operate gambling or maybe using VPN to gamble if their country is restricted.

Some countries enforce strict bans on online casinos due to the perceived risks they pose. While traditional and online casinos may seem similar, the potential dangers and negative impacts on the lives of impulsive gamblers are significant. This is why certain governments prohibit the use of debit or credit cards to fund online gambling.

as far as I know when there is no law about a certain thing, then it is no crime for people to do that certain thing, it means that people cannot be banned for doing a thing x when there is no law that prohibits doing that thing x , people also cannot be arrested because of something x, when there is no law about that thing x. In cases where, for example, in a certain country there are no laws that prohibit people from playing in an online casino, for example, what do governments do in these cases is just to advise people to be careful not to lose all the money they have because of of gambling, and then it will be up to people to choose whether or not to listen to recommendations about gambling

but these are very rare cases in which a country does not have laws on gambling, I highly doubt that there are many countries without laws on gambling. many countries choose to ban gambling, but ironically in these same countries governments keep saying that when people are over 18 they are already old enough to make decisions on their own and that is why they can already consume alcohol, if the person wants. and we can all see the negative effects that alcohol is having on society, but no government is closing alcohol companies, governments let people make their own choices because they are adults with the capacity to decide their own lives, but strangely that When it comes to gambling, governments decide for the people

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

If gambling is illegal then it applies to physical casinos as well as online gambling platforms, so even if you can access any casino you are risking your money while using because every casino has a term that states users from restricted regions are not allowed to play even if the name of your country is not mentioned in the banned country list.

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

The position of gambling is well defined in UAE and Saudi Arabia. All forms of gambling, whether cards, physical or online gambling are illegal and prohibited in these countries based on religious grounds and anyone caught gambling may get imprisoned, fined or flogged.

For a country that has no gambling laws, gambling is not illegal. The gambling law is what guides the citizens and when it's non existent, then they're free to gamble.

I think you answered this question yourself, gambling is illegal in the country and there are penalties, most times severe ones in view of any form of engagement. You only need to fully abide by the laws, or you play safe by using VPNs to engage in it.

Gambling has made a lot of individuals very much irresponsible and I think that's what these countries are trying their very best to avoid. I think if you research very well on the laws of the country in question, you'll likely see it started in a section and the consequences of violating it.

Some of these consequences are very severe, like Saudi Arabia considers gambling Ha ram(forbidden) and if convicted, you risk six months in jail and flogging as additional punishment.

If those countries have no gambling laws, it means gambling is in grey area, you will not have any issue to gamble in there.

The two countries you mentioned are the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, both Muslim countries, and among them Saudi Arabia is the holiest country for Muslims and all types of gambling are prohibited in Islam.
You need to distinguish between religion and laws, even there are a lot Muslims in those countries, it doesn't everything about the do's and don'ts in Islam become a laws for those countries. Getting a boyfriend or girlfriend is prohibited, but a lot people broke this rule.

If something is termed "legal", it is approved by the law. If it has not been addressed by the law yet, it means that it is not totally legal, just as it is not yet totally illegal. Just so you know, you still have to be very secretive with your gambling because if there is a situation where you get arrested by the government, they know the law better than you may do, and there may be a related law that you may be judged with just so you will be found guilty.

Keep your gambling activity private if you are in a country where there are no clear rules regarding gambling.

If there is really no law about gambling in that country, then there is no reason why it should be considered illegal; it could only be said to be illegal if the country in question bans gambling or is against it, but whereas there has not been any law of such, gamblers and casinos are free to operate without any restrictions because even if the law wants to come after, they will need something to fall back on in order to prove those people have broken the law.

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

To be honest, is there any country that has no law on gambling? I haven't heard about one, some are strict when it comes to gambling and some are not, it's between legal and illegal, but no law about gambling at all. I've not seen or heard of such a country.

If such place do exists then you are free to do anything you want as there is no law that can be used to penalize you, it's better to so research before you start gambling in a new country you move into, just so you'd be sure that you are not breaking any law.

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?
In case ab gambling there is no difference between the offline gambling or the Cryptocurrency based online gambling. So I think where gambling is illegal then all forms of gambling are illegal be it traditional gambling or online cryptocurrency casinos. I don't see any complexity issues here. The two countries you mentioned are the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, both Muslim countries, and among them Saudi Arabia is the holiest country for Muslims and all types of gambling are prohibited in Islam. As such, a ban has been imposed on gambling. But people can gamble from those countries using decentralization and VPN if they want.

Get this settled with, if gambling is ban and declared illegal, then it mean that every form of gambling is ban in such jurisdiction, and no matter if people still gamble in such place they doing so at they own risk, and when and if they get caught, they will face persecution for that, and as we know people don't obey the law in it 💯 level due to violation tendency.

Just like here in my country, weed is ban but alot of citizen's still consume it and government can only punish the little number of citizen's that got caught in such act.
