I have had an issue with Paypal and while I was trying to look for a solution on the internet, I came across this website (https://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/paypal_02.html) where everybody is complaining about Paypal. Most of the complains were actually similar to the one that I have. I thought Paypal is a credible company but now I have started feeling worried about my funds stuck in the accounts.

No paypal is not scam at all, yes it is not perfect service but it never scammed me, Sometimes paypal can put your money on hold for random reasons, but that's not a scam
certainly not that be a scam paypal but there are hackers who use paypal bug to steal money from customers. so be careful when using paypal

True. It is a known website so there are a lot of transactions that will be done there. It is not Paypal's fault though. It is the people that are using it. The same way is happening with bitcoin they are now using this currency to do their evil scams.

I read some of the complains, it looks like users don't read how the service works and what fees it charges, they sign up for the service and assume it works like they imagine in their head, when it turns out it works some other and they just needed to read some documentation to know that, and here's when they complain...

I was a genuine regular user of paypal but since there were serious restrictions imposed on paypal in my country I started preferring bitcoin. I don’t think paypal is a scam but yes I feel that they seriously need a self assessment to improve the quality of user experience. They have many buyer favoring policies so no one is ready to deal bitcoin to paypal deal since transactions are reversible even after several weeks, they need something which would favor both buyer and seller.

I somewhat disagree with your stance. I also think that PayPal is favoring buyers, but look at this from a different angle. If you buy something from a big reseller, and something goes wrong (say, your purchase is not delivered on time or just gets lost), how high are your chances to get your money back? If you were paying with a Visa/Mastercard, you could request a chargeback, but other than that you would be pretty much screwed. So PayPal is, in a way, equalizing the buyer and the seller in their rights and capabilities.

I like paypal as a payment method.
Ebay or online purchases that are delivered to my home address, I do them mostly with paypal.
I think it is easy to use, and if something goes wrong they have already helped me to get my funds back.
But I never keep any money on my account there. Just like I try to avoid having bitcoins on exchanges.

The key to Paypal is understanding Paypal.  They are the kings of CYA or "cover your ass".  People screw them all the time.  They set up a new bank account, new Paypal account and link the two.

They jump through enough hoops that Paypal auto accepts charges and sends them to the bank account and then they send as much as possible, as quickly as possible to another Paypal account and then stripe the funds to a card.

Just my suggestion though, If your having problems with paypal switch into using bitcoin fully for transactions. It will be hard though to find items you want to buy online using bitcoin since only a few stores accepts bitcoin but with bitcoin you know too that you wont have problems since you already know how bitcoin works and you know bitcoin aint a scam.

Like many more people have said, No paypal is not a scam. It's a huge company and has been around for years now and alot of people use it from online transactions because of its ease of use. But the scams that you are talking about are mostly from the sellers side or something PayPal has nothing to with it.

Let me give you an example. I get the Paypal debit card.  There are two versions, but both allow you to immediately move Paypal funds to a card.  It is actually a cloaked Netspend card, but you never know that.  If I send you $100, you get it, move it to the card and I dispute the TX, the dispute goes badly and Paypal takes the money back, your Paypal account will go negative, but those funds on the card cannot be touched.  Funds might be taken from a linked bank account though, so be careful.

You are right , there no way for paypal to be a scam since they are  a huge company and its been used already for how many years  as you mentioned  most scam do happen  on  sellers side and sometimes  on buyers side especially  on those people  who  bought bitcoin   by paypal and then they request for a chargeback which  is  giving some  bad reputation on the  service of paypal.

PayPal cannot be a scam. Despite the fact that it is accepted by many BIG companies worldwide, it has one big con: refundable transactions. This doesn't help the companies at all, and Bitcoin takes PayPal over when it comes to the scams. However, having Bitcoin as a payment method instead of PayPal isn't such a great idea because of the Bitcoin's popularity.

Yes they are not scam but there are abusive people who are using paypal to their scam activities. I have experience that I am selling something online but it tends that the buyer upon receiving my product, what he does was reverse the payment. So it is very disgusting and I complained to the paypal but they can't do anything about it.

paypal is not a scam it is rather an very popular and trusted company but they have adppted more like the banking system so they have control over the money and at all the transactions so some user use reversepayment system to take their koney bank and it is possible upto 180dayd

I don't think so, PayPal is involved in do many kind of scams and it involved in email scam as well. So better switch with the Bitcoin as the payment mode instead of PayPal to be a payment mode.
There is other people are involving about scam using paypal. if they dont read the terms they can not get refund.. like we are dealing in bitcoin they are reverse the payment in paypal thats why they are not accepting anymore unless if the bitcoin sell is reputative here in our forum.
