I do not know if you have been around for long, but "ethereum killers" are kind of a buzzword in crypto. NEO was going to be an Eth killer, then NEM, then Waves, then plenty of value went into a miriad of useless tokens... I my view the most serious issue that could affect Ethereum is its own success driving up fees. So the Ethereum strategists could actually be Ethereum killers.
Correct, among all the coins listed, EOS, ZEC, and many others, if ethereum team will change their way of transaction fee system, then it gonna remain top of altcoin, pokaldot is simply impersonating the features of what eth has and implementing more to it, in my own opinion, the game changer for ethereum is not yet be developed, we never know what the future may look like, but to me, it will take time for the industry to develop something more outstanding than ethereum and even pokaldot.

The potential for polka-dots is huge to be able to overthrow ethereum, but currently it can't be confirmed because ethereum is still strong. polkadot should probably have a long time for that. the most important thing is that polka dots must make significant progress in order to achieve these goals, even though it will be very tough against ethereum
I am just looking at the project on Polkadot, the quality of projects on Polkadot is more important to me than Polkadot platform itself, look at all the Ethereum Killers in the space, starting from EOS, Tezos, Cosmos etc all have failed to attract good projects on their platform and these Dapps are what help drive up exposure to the blockchain

Without going into much Technical details, Polka dot is very young altcoin and was listed on Binance exchange few months back , In this very short period the value of DOT has soared more than 100%. What is more fascinating about Polka dot that Trading volume has grown exponentially.No doubt that the polkadot has showed an impressive performance in the market, and I was totally impressed. I just regret only that I didn't buy when it was 4$ each a coiple of months past only. It was quick actually and now look at the volume and its development. But it doesn't mean it can kill the Ethereum, of course not that's not going to happen..

We can't deny the fact that Polka has a huge potential to be on top next to Bitcoin but I don't think it could beat or replace Ethereum that easily. It still has a lot to prove and surpass. There were actually lots of coins that attempted to kill Ethereum but none of them became victorious. There will surely be more altcoins that would attempt to beat Butcoin and Ethereum but I don't think they would succeed easily.
It is very difficult for DOT to replace ETH, it is like saying that a cryptocurrency is going to be better than Bitcoin, although ETH is much higher in history than DOT, I understand that for now DOT is going through a not very comfortable moment, at the Watching some news, I came across this analysis:

This gives me to understand that it is a nascent project, it is still difficult to determine what could happen, it is difficult to do a fundamental analysis, I think that it does not yet have the characteristics to compare it with ETH, much less kill ETH.

It's possbile too but not die, Basically people will seek Chain with much better Use Case. Ethereum was good but with today condition some alternative starting to rise and one of them is Polkadot, If ETH 2.0 or EIP 1559 was not implemented sooner basically Ethereum will dying slowly, Well it's all just a matter of time. I do not think polkadot will take the place of ethereum even if its idea is good in general but when eth 2.0 will come then the eth fee problem will be gone and this will increase the use of the plateform more because now some holders are swaping their eth for other cryptos before withdrawing them so it will oncrease the daily volume and the price as well.
As long as each development team continues to make improvements to close the gaps in weaknesses, as long as they are competitive with each other.

I really don't think it will kill ETH, but maybe also help it out because there are many projects like this that are using Polkadot. It's like building out other option for projects

obviously polkadot will not kill, will not replace ethereum will be just one of the many worthy competitors who try to steal the first place of altcoins (after bitcoin of course) together with tron, eos, bnb but eth will still hold out for a long time
Nothing is guaranteed in the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum has remained as the no.2 cryptocurrency ever since it managed to topple Litecoin from that position in 2015. But that doesn't mean that it's position is permanent. Ethereum was the first among the second generation cryptocurrencies. But now there are growing signs that it's technology is getting outdated. Ethereum is simply unable and incapable to keep up with the large rise increase in userbase.
