Where do all these T-fetishist come from? Grin

A combination of http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Onamonapia for the BT (say BT as if it was a word instead of each letter)
and C to shorten coin.

But it doesnt make much sense to add a T because the abbreviation reads a bit like the word itself. An abbreviation should shorten a word. So adding signs because it makes the abbreviation sound like the word is somewhat contradicting.

Abbreviations mostly are only formed by the beginning letters of the part words in a word Bit-Coin-Talk. Only if the abbreviation is somewhat hard to say or when it should be brandable, then abbreviations for organisations and so on might have added letters that stand somewhere in the word in between.

Only saying... Tongue

I'd say BCT but I don't often use abbreviations. But BCT makes more sense that BTT because it's (BitCoinTalk). Anyway it's only my opinion.

I am personally fond of using BTCT to refer to this forum because bitcoin is abbreviated as btc and the last letter T is self-explanatory. If you may, please, add BTCT as an option there because I think it still make some sense in regards to the abbreviation of the forum's name.

I've always used BCT since BitCoinTalk always seemed to make a little bit more sense to more. I don't really understand how it would be BiTcoinTalk

Oh like that, yeah, I don't know. All I know is that it's the most common abbreviation.

Why would the first "T" be the most logical to include in your suggestion? Didn't Satochi call it only bc, but you wanna stick a "T" in there.

Where do all these T-fetishist come from? Grin

BTC for Bitcoin and the extra T for Talk.
I always use BTCT. Why? Because it's BitcoinTalk, BTC + T == BTCT.

I was referring to BTCT. That T is odd and most likely just added for exchange purposes.

Hence, BCT is the most logical one, even if I use BTT which is illogical as hell.  Grin

The public has spoken (voted!): According to the poll, the correct abbreviation is "BCT". I will, however, always call it bc or BTT  Tongue
I'll stick with BTCT, the most logical of all (which you forgot to add to your poll, even though I mentioned it).

A combination of http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Onamonapia for the BT (say BT as if it was a word instead of each letter)
and C to shorten coin. Only for textual use, because saying B-T-C in person is stupid when you can use two syllables (bit-coin).

Also in this forum if you use
Code:
[btc]
you get this: BTC

Besides, a poll won't give you accurate results at all. I've been telling this to people for quite some time now. There are too many shills and manipulators because of which it is hard to get accurate results.

Are you aware of that it is fully possible to have fun with nonsense...?  Wink We are not voting for presidency. Even the nature of language, which always develops, makes it impossible be vote get the correct answer.

Terminated.
To much of my surprise, "BTT" is beating the living hell out of "BCT" with over 70 percent for the votes.

With under ten total votes Wink
No.

I don't see the logic behind BTT, BCT seems more reasonable.

This is also a good abbreviation.
