Bitcoin is all about the trust one has got over the technology. If the early adopters of Bitcoin have thought that it doesn't have a future, now we could've never tasted the goodness of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Believe in the technology and have patience, one can experience the bright future of bitcoin making a change in the world.
At the back end governments are studying bitcoin and how to used blockchain technology in the economic.  I think bitcoin is the future and if you want to buy into the future you have to invest now.  Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is too good to stop along the way.

There's is always a future for bitcoin mate must have patience! 'cause it's not easy to recover especially on this kind of situation which is there's always a fluctuation time on time due to some causes that really affect on the growth rate of BTC.  reason why  the value of bitcoin nowadays can't exceed.  But no need to worry 'cause for sure soon when it gain enough strength it will not hesitate to surge constantly like what happened before. Just be patient!

@KingScorpio

all your posts are against bitcoin

don't tell anyone honest what you think in here,

because it will offend some people.

just tell them what the want to hear.

yes bitcoin will be the world global dominating currency

it will successfully centre the worlds economy on itself

all global deserts will be pflastered with bitcoin mining facilities.

the investment punk that mine a lot of bitcoin will be the billionaires of tomorrow.

You're asking about a future for BTC and yet all you talk about in your post is price.
Even if that's all you care about, how do you expect the price to go up without some actual utility for the asset?
Maybe you're looking in the wrong direction.

finally a technician answer, that doesn't look like profit maximalization,

do you truly care just about the tech of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies or do you care how expensive they can be sold?

careful not to have a mental breakdown

Does anyone here think there is no future for btc anymore?

years ago the price was less than $ 100 and after many years it rose to over $ 19000, so why $3600 will not rise?

Bitcoin will have a future, and if you want a good future, you must have patience. I think the future of bitcoin doesn't have to be a high price between 20k - 50k, but the resistance and popularity of bitcoin will be much better.

I agree

whenever i see this types of topics with a lot of desperation for price rise from newbies i always become very happy because they signal the end of the bear market.
for instance last time this happened was during the 2015 bear market where price was similar to these days and was stuck. many people were asking the exact same question as OP is asking. Wink
if you find lots of threads like this it might be normal because new traders don't know how bitcoin develops and they are afraid that bitcoin will instantly disappear and make a lot of people lose.
Traders who are new to Bitcoin don't have the ability to read the development of Bitcoin prices.
Even though what we know before is that Bitcoin often experiences rapid price changes.
Traders who have long known Bitcoin will certainly believe in the development of Bitcoin.

The price is around $3500 now.  Price has only went down.  If it does go up, it goes back down later on.  Does anyone here think there is no future for btc anymore?  When the price went to 5k then 10k then 15k and then close to 20k, i thought... wow i think by end of 2018 it would be 50k at least.  And then it dropped all the way down and now its even worst.  I had thought mcafee prediction of 1 million in few year was foolish.  But i thought by then, 100k would seem very reasonable.  Now... it doesn't even look like it will hit 10k even for a very long time.Does anyone here there is no future for btc anymore?  Anyone that has bought btc and held it for the last 1.5 year already is down a lot of money unless you are trading and even then most traders are losing.
If you ever invested money in any market you would know that there will be bull run as well as bear runs, you cannot imagine a market to go high all the time, think clearly about the implication it will have if the price just goes up with any correction, you think it will reach several millions per coin in one go, even in the long run i find it hard to believe any valuation of that sort. Play according to the market and you can make money.

There is basically no progress at all for btc.. it keeps going down.
If you can show me one financial market that only goes up. I would agree with your statement. Tongue

I thought to myself... wow if btc goes to a high enough price, i might not have to worry about money anymore.  Thus anyone here with a job or no job or low paying job or whatnot, btc might be enough to not worry about money anymore.  I mean i'm sure tons of people thought about this right?
No one in their right sense will think like that, there is no free money in the world, so never expect anything like that even in your wildest dreams.

Does anyone know with your question or your concern? Exactly not. You have own perspective with your hope, your concern, your doubt and everyone have a perspective too, but you will find some differenties what everyone did with the price of bitcoin now. Yeah, I liked for the attitude of some bitcoin users who are ignorant of the price of bitcoin. How bitcoin price fall and how bitcoin price up, they just calm down and believe bitcoin will have a function. Maybe you just an investor who saw bitcoin for the profit side, who are doubtful about the decline in bitcoin prices, and even make FUD as a reference.

Definitely Bitcoin has a greater future no doubt about that fact. One cannot just conclude that because Bitcoin market value is down at the and all hope is gone. You should be more happy at it's current market value since it is an opportunity for you to buy at a cheaper rate. Dude, you can only be happy when you a holder of reasonable sum of Bitcoin and it's value increase to $50k or more.
although bitcoin can have the chance to be expensive but if no one buys and no one supports bitcoin it will not be possible, bitcoin should now be able to touch the price of $50k because of the influence of a very limited supply.

Bitcoin still have a future as long people wants to use bitcoin as long people buy bitcoin in the market.
There are many people who are using bitcoin but not enough to beat the fiat system.
It's the future in terms of online payment but not as a real money where majority of people will be using and banks backing on it.

Bitcoin have many things problem/struggle facing for the past year because volatile market but still bitcoin is here and still rock our world. So I think bitcoin will still have a future.

Volatility is always present in crypto, that's the effect of the limited supply and changing demands.

A very long post about the perspectives of the future of bitcoin and the only thing you talked about was the price and your unfulfilled expectations about it, there is not a single mention about the work of the developers and how they are doing their best to improve the technology, if you concentrated instead on that you will see the future of bitcoin is still as good as ever and there is not a reason to worry that much about the current low price.

Why would bitcoin stay low tough ? Like I understand you think bitcoin went down and you have seen bitcoin going up a bit and going down again couple of times but have you ever followed bitcoin in the recent years ?

It always has insane periods of going up and down and stabilize and it always repeats itself. Bitcoin can't stay low, it will go up for sure, than it will definitely go down again than it will go up and down and up and down. That is what bitcoin is, without (thankfully) a central authority over it control the price like it does for the fiat currencies there is absolutely no way bitcoin could stay the same price and since there is no inflation for it the price will always move weirdly. Just because it went down a bit don't worry that it will stay here, one day it will go up super fast.

The OP is like a textbook case for the despair phase.
But..... But.... Mike Novogratz said that institutions could to lift the price to $8000 this year. In other words, we have waaay more to go down if he's still a counter indicator. Cheesy

Any 2017 buyers who managed to hold on this long should X out the chart and walk away for 6 more months. It'll do em good.
Or just sell and be done with the suffering because most people simply can't handle the stress that this market subjects them to. It's all cool when the price keeps going up, people's confidence in the market and Bitcoin grows, but as soon as we're heading South, things change. I can't even imagine the level of stress they have been going through last year, and perhaps even this year.

In most cases, the weakest hands are the first to dump during corrections, so if that's what they did last year, they did actually pretty well if you look at the price right now.

They'll be suffering a lot more if they sell now at the bottom, only to watch the price start rising later on and realize they did the dumbest thing possible: bought at the top and sold at the bottom. Other guy is right, anyone who lost a bunch at this point should just step away and ideally come back in a couple years to see they have now made money instead of lost most of their money. Doing what you suggest is literally what I did in 2015, after months of the price being stuck in the $200s, after I bought in at the peak of the late-2013 bubble and on into 2014, I was like crap Bitcoin is done and sold it all at the bottom, then early 2017 I looked back and saw it was back over a $1000 haha. Obviously its not good advice to do that, stress or no stress.

The idea of not having to worry about money anymore, just because btc hit the moon,is totally stupid.
Even if you become a crypto millionaire, you will continue to worry about money untill the rest of your life.
Just don't expect a 50k,100k or 300k bitcoin price. This is ridiculous.Get a job or build a real business.Don't wait for the "bitcoin treasure". Grin
