Hi everyone, i'm somewhat new here so please bear with me Grin
First off, i'm not a crypto expert by any means, just a casual fan.
I've been interested in cannabis, as a hobby and a business, for a while but unfortunately the laws of my country (italy) don't allow much.
Recently a local company/start-up (Nativa) has partnered with an alt-coin (WIID) and that sparked my interest in that combination, which I had initially written off, and found other cryptos targeting marijuana (like PotCoin, Tokes and others).
I have invested in a really small amount on WIID because of initial excitement,  and now i'm wondering wheter or not this particular market has any merit to exist or not before I go any further, regardless of which crypto establishes itself.
What do you guys think?

Usually it takes time before a project will boom and you just be patient to wait for more months as we had a downfall market and all currencies had been badly affected with the market situation. Although while your waiting the progress of those project you can invest with other good currency which I think the best time to buy and diversify your investment to gain more with less risk.

I have been in the portfolio a few of these coins and they already earned. To diversify, you can have such a class of coins in the portfolio.

Have you heard about the CannaSos project from Canada? I participated in his campaign bounty and have a few of its PerksCoin coins. Most recently, Canada has passed a law on the legalization of marijuana, that is why I believe in the successful future of this project and the good value of its coins.

Well, issues about cannabis have different views they're looked at in different jurisdictions. Maybe, inthe future it mightnhave a great representation and so don't feel a regret for investing in the project. I say so bevause cureemctl, many jurisdictions are considering the legalization of cannabis for various reasons and so i think your project is a great stel toward the future.

I believe there is definitely going to be a market for it. It just depends when it becomes legal in certain countries, because the rest are going to follow up. While i'm here, what coins have you guys bought? Any reason why you chose a specific one?

I think it using blockchain is cannabis industry will help to make it more transparent so cannabis coins must have future. Not all of them) But of course it is needed in a few more countries with legalize. I hope the time will change and this number will grow. For example Canada legalized MJ couple of weeks ago. So it is possible for some other countries to join this politics. I think it is good for all people when government understand that if they can't overcome it, they need to lead it! This statement relates not only to weed, but to the hole crypto industry.

I'm a bit sceptical about this idea, as cannabis is illegal in most countries, so weed is relatable to crime, drugs, etc. It makes cannabis alts less popular, I guess. I wouldn't invest in it.

Yeah it's illegal but wouldn't you say it probably won't be that way for much longer? If anything to me this seems like the best time to invest in it. Obviously i'm not talking hundreds of thousands of euros, but a few hundreds here and there i think are worth it.
i have heard a certain alt coin before that is all about cannabis, i don't really know if it does exist up until now, since i also share the same idea with you that because of its current standing as illegal it makes itless popular that is also the reason why it is not very known among traders, but to tell it honestly crime related drugs is really irrelevant whenwe talk about cannabis, there are also huge differences among cannabis users and those otherpetty drugs.

Exactly! Yes it's illegal NOW, and not everywhere by the way, but it definitely won't be for long. Plus it's a way different crime from everything else and it's not even close. It's not about a crypto for murderers or ISIS-coin.

Thanks for every single reply, i appreciate it. Although "we should wait and see" is not necessarly the answer i'm looking for, since that's not a good way of making money, at least that's how i see it. i don't mean to sound rude, just expressing my opinion

this is not much popular right now at the moment because of the newness of such initiative. but even in the future there are possibility of such initiatives being taken place because people will be interested in such projects. we should wait for it and see what happens about it.

I do not understand why I should use some special coin for using it in the cannabis industry, because now there are so many different coins that are suitable for any industry and industry, including for the canapis. I can list, for example, several anonymous coins: Zcash, Monero, Verge. In my opinion, they are quite suitable for a wide range of uses.

This is still not a popular thing in the crypto currency market. These sort of things will take time to create a buzz because these sort of things are very hush hush. Give it some time, things might turn around. This may, slowly over time, peak interest in people too.

if we say in fact the question asked, then I do not understand what is common between drugs and crypto currency. It seems to me that drugs are so well suited, even without the help of a digital currency.

The way i see it a related crypto would help making it safer market. After all, it's still a drug and people might not want to have their purchases displayed to the public. Let's say a country goes back to having marijuana illegal and a guy has his past dug up to show he bought it before: it could damage his career.

ICO investing and crypto related project is not illegal or banned in my country, but in my opinion as our coin is not cannabis friendly and its illegal to acquire related to this coin supporting it will be a against the law. I’m not sure it will, but I will make distance apart from it for now until the right time. I’m not condemning anyone on this action as maybe your country marijuana is legal.

Of course cannabis related altcoin has a good future in the crypto industry, in fact, there are a lot of coins backed by cannabis, but they are hard to take off because of country restrictions, not all can participate buying cannabis using those coins, because of restrictions, but I also would like to see government easing up on this kind of drugs.

I chose to avoid the name of a crime, but I never knew there was altcoin associated with cannabis, pornography and such, but because I prefer to avoid it so I do not know too much, but if there is any altcoin which related they will not publish it that they are linked to it, because it includes crime.
