Answering your first question, Signature campaigns started with Primedice before I even came to the forum, I learnt mostly from fellow members and has been gambling sites as the lions share but eventually different other companies came in. ICOs had their short campaigns at one time which flooded the forum along with campaigners using unfair means to accumulate as much as possible. Mixers and Exchanges have been the next few share.

For your second question, there have been many other forums for cryptocurrency and one of the iconic post-incentivising forums was cryptotalk, which still exists but the spam was so huge that they shut down that feature and now its a somewhat dead forum, you can visit it yourself and see. Still the lions share is bitcointalk and lets hope it remains like that. Cool

° Can an online business besides just a gambling platform, which accepts Bitcoin as payments or for payouts, run a signature campaign on this Bitcoin talk forum, or is the term 'signature campaign' strictly attributed to gambling platforms?

You asked this question because gambling signature campaign seem to dominate the forum. But I will have to mention some other types of projects that run signature campaign in this forum that are not gambling companies;
  • Mixers - After the fall of chipmixer, we have had and still having many mixers in the forum, majority of which is managed by Royse77 and icopress.
  • Exchanges - I have seen many and including the ones that scammed that ran campaign in the forum. But the best of them which is still strong and running a long term campaign is Best_change
  • Others - like decentralisation centred companies like Utopia is running campaign, Trust bank did, wintomato and many others.

The forum terms are that signature campaign payments in Bitcoin should run through the service section, and it shouldn't phishing or harmful sites that possibly steal or hack users funds. For altcoins, they should run through the altcoin service section. Nevermind, even if your business isn't related to Bitcoin, you must pay a reward in Bitcoin in order to run a campaign in the service section.

The forum users terms for running signature campaigns should be legit business; cheating and scams aren't appreciated by forum users. That's the condition I have found so far. In summary, you can run a signature for any legit business.

Any organizations can come and use this platform to use it as an avenue for their campaign irrespective of the service or the organization, the aim behind a signature campaign is to advertise to the whole world about their services, but this has to be with conformity with the forum rules and regulations together with the signature campaign rules, it just often happens that we see more of a gambling or mixing signature campaign on the forum than other sectors, but that doesn't mean others aren't accepted here as well to make their adverts.

I don't still see how the bearish or bullish run can interfer with activities on this forum. I beg to differ however.

Just give it a moment, let it marinate, and the light bulb will surely flicker on!

By the way, take a look at the registration date on your forum account. Just a month after the ATH! Quite the coincidence, isn't it?

You are on point with the metrics you provided. Although I can't ascertain how incoherent the results might be if this metrics is used as a standard to measure the success or failure of any similar forum as this, but this metrics will sure do and is notably still the best one yet.

Keep in mind that external factors also affect the increase or decrease of activity on the forum. For example, always during the bull run and when Bitcoin reaches its historical highest point, interest in it rises sharply like all other cryptocurrencies. I believe that some parallel graphs would show it well.
The same thing happens in the opposite direction, when it's bearish and when everything goes down, interest also decreases and activity on the forum decreases.
I am still trying to understand fully how the bearish or bullish run affects activity on this forum, because I know quite well that those who are campaigning for signatures and avatar here, got to meet up with their numbers be it in a bullish or bearish run/season.
If a member here is a trader and uses of course a different trading platform, is not in any campaign or have any responsibility here that they can be held accountable to, I don't still see how the bearish or bullish run can interfer with activities on this forum. I beg to differ however.

° Can an online business besides just a gambling platform, which accepts Bitcoin as payments or for payouts, run a signature campaign on this Bitcoin talk forum, or is the term 'signature campaign' strictly attributed to gambling platforms?
I'm trying to understand the rules conveyed by: @mprep.
Example:
Service Announcements (child board of Marketplace) - "New services and significant information about existing services. Do not create excessive "announcements" just to advertise your service." All Bitcoin service website announcements should go here.

Service Discussion (child board of Marketplace) - "Comments and questions about specific Bitcoin services or about all Bitcoin services." This includes discussion of Bitcoin sites (both specific and in general), discussion about technical problems of such sites (API doesn't work, etc.).

Quote above, maybe I draw one conclusion, it is not mandatory for gambling platforms to advertise here, as long as you comply Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign), I think you can do it well, without any obstacles, the point is: pay with Bitcoin.

° Is there another kind of forum for online businesses that accepts Bitcoin as payment, which is similar in concept like this forum? If no, is there any other discovery you have had that's close in initiative to an active community as this, which aims to help advertise, market, educate, inform and encourage adopting payments in BTC and crypto currency in general?
This question reminds me of one of the sources about Top 35 Cryptocurrency Forums, Discussions and Message Boards., but I don't know whether they pay or not like what is felt on Bitcointalk, which is certain that they provide Bitcoin.

I had to ask this, although I know someone here may have reasoned in line with this, having read something similar as a post thread or comments in any section here.

° Can an online business besides just a gambling platform, which accepts Bitcoin as payments or for payouts, run a signature campaign on this Bitcoin talk forum, or is the term 'signature campaign' strictly attributed to gambling platforms?

I remember doing campaigns on platforms that are not gambling and mixing, in the past, there were projects like exchange, tokens, and play to earn that launched signature campaigns and they paid Bitcoin and some of them paid half of the payment in their native token any platforms can run a campaign it just happens that gambling and mixing platforms rule the signature campaign, right now we have exchanges and community-based token running signature campaigns hopefully in the future we'll see more signature campaigns in different industry

I was a member of forums that pays to post the admins are the one paying there are no managers this is when Bitcoin is not yet that popular but right now Bitcointalk rule the Cryptocurrency forums there are other forums but projects seldom run a signature campaign there.
Bitcointalk is the most visited forum in the Cryptocurrency niche because Satoshi is one of the founders of this forum.

Yes, that's what am talking about. I may have not properly articulated my question, still am glad you did help me with a better response.
I can also only imagine what makes this Bitcointalk forum more successful than Bitcoingarden forum from your perspective or from anyones' who can contribute.
Continuity. before the signature campaigns, there was an interest in the forum, as the forum continued as a place for discussion from 2009 to 2013, which is the date of registration of the first signature campaign.

We can attribute the cause of higher activity or density to post in a specific board due to signature campaigns, which are easy to notice their effect. Even trusted members change their posting pattern according to those campaigns. Most members of Chipmixer no longer publish 50 posts per week even though they were doing this for years.

The density of posting and active new members is controlled by signature campaigns and the price of bitcoin. As for the existence and continuity of the forum, it is a reality, as there are boards that are not within the signature campaigns and have activity such as serious discussions, political and the wall.

In that regard, I would however appreciate it, if you or anyone can share with us some of the success this forum has made that sets it apart from the any other, that's if they do exist.

To me, that's obvious. Bitcointalk.org is the first forum created specifically to promote the Bitcoin project and is a direct successor to the original forum created by the creator himself, Satoshi. It holds tremendous historical value and remains the go-to source for all information related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

There are days' worth of reading material on the forum, and there's nothing on the entire Internet that can quite compare to the wealth of information you can find here. Just take a look at the list of notable topics compiled by Ratimov here: [AUGUST UPD.] Beginners & Help Encyclopedia. You can also check out the top captions for notable historical posts compiled by theymos:  Caption results

Also, how could one possibly measure the success of a forum or community idea as this, that is, what kind of standard of measurement will be used?

I'm not sure if there are specific measurement standards, but we can compare relevant data such as:

- Daily or monthly visitor counts
- Active user counts
- Total registered user counts
- The rate of new topics and posts created each day

These metrics should provide a good basis for comparing the activity and engagement on different forums.

What makes this forum particularly successful is that this was some kind of a de facto official forum of Bitcoin. Satoshi was here; Hal was here; Nick Szabo was here; Adam Back was here. Everybody else was here. That extends to Vitalik, Ross Ulbricht, Gavin, Roger Ver, Charlie Lee, Laszlo, Mike Caldwell, and other historical personalities in crypto's rich history. Is there even a single Bitcoin developer who is in altcointalk or Bitcoingarden or cryptotalk? The resources of this forum are vast.

Any business can run a signature campaign, it's not only limited to gambling platforms. There goes the exchanges, ICOs(before), projects, NFT, etc.

There have been other forums that did tried their luck, no idea how many of them became successful. This is the best forum and if those other forums gained members from bitcointalk, they'll have hard time maintaining most of its members because no matter what they do. Everyone is going to come back here.

You read my conscience on this I must say...hehehe.
On a more serious note, I am aware of other businesses that may have launched their campaigns advert here on this forum and have applied to them too.

If you already knew that, why ask stupid questions? You've promoted businesses, beyond gambling, with your signature before, so I'm not sure what you're confused about. Any business related to Bitcoin or that accepts Bitcoin payments can be promoted in the Services section.

This is an avenue for other ideas to be born, because I have observed the consistent record of this platform and knowing that BTC is first among many other cryptos who tried to replicate the idea, I asked, so as to know if there are other platforms as this, just like we have altcoins and shitcoins and memecoins.

You can't tell me that during your time on the forum, you haven't seen campaign from different platforms. Just because gambling campaign are popular on the forum doesn't restrict signature campaign to only gambling platforms. The reason they find the forum more preferably is because there are alot of bitcoiners on the forum that are interested in gambling so they target their advertisment here because it'll be more impactful. As others has responded, if you visit the service board you'll see different campaign so I hope that answer your question. Just for a side note, signature isn't moderated by the forum therefore all project are welcomed on the forum except those NSFW. Mixers are another common project on the forum because they can't be advertise on most advertisement platforms as they're illegal in many country but the forum is like a safe heaven for them to advertise on.

° Is there another kind of forum for online businesses that accepts Bitcoin as payment, which is similar in concept like this forum?

There has been some that tired to copy Bitcointalk but failed due to them focusing on paying users to draw their attention to their forum and when that payment stops or reduced, this platforms will crumble. Also when they don't get the inflow of advertisers as they thought they'll get when they launched their platform, it fails. One reason Bitcointalk has survive this long isn't because they're paying their users but because of the value of the platforms. People join the forum to seek for knowledge and there are constant improvement on the forum to keep the quality and activities on a constructive standard. When the forum notice the increase in spamming and quality was reducing, the merit system was introduced but those other platforms only care about activities and not quality that's why they're failing.

As far as I can find, there is no forum as comprehensive as bitcointalk. Site traffic is the main reason other forums aren't as desirable as marketing targets. Apart from that, altcoins gain more popularity from social media. Campaign offers may be found on their forums, but most are just for shills on other platforms.

You can see that we have mixing organizations, exchanges and gambling organizations who frequently come here to announce their services to the world, which means, you can come up with your own business as well to promote it here as long as it conforms to the signature campaign rules and then being paid in bitcoin, else it may be referred to as bounty, so anyone can come here to advertise their business here including you as long as you're here to follow the strict procedures to doing so.

I don't know what your aim or target is concerning this question but as for bitcoin discussion, this is the only recognized platform, don't get it wrong by assuming that this forum is a business or money making ground, it's a bitcoin discussion platforms, another one similar to this is altcoins discussion platform which is very poorly managed or regulated and lot of scams are there.

I no longer understand your point. Are you looking for other forums that pay people for renting their signatures, or talking about other advertising services on the forum that are not related to gambling?

All advertising share a simple principle, which is that there is an influential person who has an audience base such that they believe that what he is advertising is something useful, whether that influence is by preparing videos, or by writing high-quality posts. From here we find that advertising campaigns are looking for those people, and almost all of us used or is using cryptocurrencies, so it is a suitable place for anyone who wants to manage a crypto advertising campaign, although the advertising here are not limited to signature campaigns.

Cryptotalk.org(a forum) used to run a signature campaign here but they were stopped when the forum found out that they tried to sneakily change the link on the Signature that the participants wear. the link on the new Signature they tried to get the members to wear will redirect people to their Yobit exchange site(which has a bad reputation) instead of Cryptotalk.org.

the only other forum that comes to my mind is Cryptotalk.org, I remember they used to pay the users on their platform BTC per post. their forum was also riddled with spam and plagiarism in just a month, they even banned some countries from being paid, in the end, it looks like they shut down the forum, I can't seem to visit the website now.

Yes, any business can run their signature campaign on Bitcoin talk forum and the signature campaigns aren't just limited to gambling sites only. Still, most of the signature campaigns are run by gambling sites because they know that this community is the best place for promotion of their platforms and launching of a signature campaign is the best way to get exposure from all the users of the forum. There are other businesses like mixers, exchanges, and p2p clients that are running their signature campaigns on this forum sucessfully.

The only answer to this question is "No" because there is nothing like this forum in the whole internet. This is the only forum where we have an active community of users who are interested in Bitcoin and who contribute their valuable opinions, ideas, and information about Bitcoin on this forum.

<...>

We have a bit of a memory problem here, don't we?

In just the past few months, you've applied for various signature campaigns, including [banned mixer] [1], [banned mixer] [2], Yo!Mix[3], OzoneChain[4], [banned mixer][5], and you even participated in the BetterCallRaul.it[6] campaign. None of these are related to gambling platforms. So, I'm quite curious about what led to this question? Do you ever read more about the service before joining their campaign?

What I understand after reading the post is that the OP is looking for a platform where they pay in bitcoin with a similar kind of advertisement or promotion that signature campaign participants are doing here. He is looking for a similar platform that offers similar earning opportunities, like the BitcoinTalk forum.

OP There are similar platforms like BitcoinTalk, but they are all copycats, and you know what happens to all the copycat projects? They failed miserably. Some copycat or use the same kind of business model projects are: Altcoinstalks, Cryptotalk, Bitcoingarden, etc. All these platforms are full of spam and have extremely few active members.

Yeah, most of the project have their own community and some even have their forum where you can ask questions about that project development but non of them are as organized as bitcointalk. TBH i haven't seen any forum like this that i can call 2nd bitcointalk. Bitcoin was a unique innovation and non of its copy cat project gained as much support as bitcoin. Bitcointalk forum shows same kind of oneness till now.

° Can an online business besides just a gambling platform, which accepts Bitcoin as payments or for payouts, run a signature campaign on this Bitcoin talk forum, or is the term 'signature campaign' strictly attributed to gambling platforms?

If your business or company have connections with bitcoins in form of services, and you are interested in promoting it in a place that has a good number of people with interest in bitcoins, this forum is top on that list. If you have the funds to run a signature campaign to promote your company service, that is a form of marketing project for it, and you can do it in this forum.

So far, we have had casinos, mixers, exchanges, IP Stresser / DDoS tool companies like "[banned site]" run campaigns on the forum, we will see more.

Above are three different services that are not casinos that have signature campaigns, and there are also crypto-related platforms that accept crypto currency for both deposit and withdrawal. Signature is not just for casinos alone; even as mixer and casino sijgnature are the ones topping the chart here, there are other things that if they need to run a signature campaign, they are allowed to do that, provided that there is nothing violating the forum rules that could be found on their signature code. You are all good.

Don’t mixers and exchanges run signature campaign here?
The forum signature space is not limited to just gambling, mixers or exchanges alone but the reason why you see those type of services here is because of what the forum is related to and the type of users present here.

It will not be wise for a service that has nothing to do with crypto or that has nothing to do with the things that bitcointalkers are interested in to come to the forum and start advertising their service by running a signature campaign, they’ll only just be wasting whatever money they’ll be paying.

The main aim of running an ads is to target people that will be interested in your service if you’re aware that the people present in a community will never patronize you no matter how you approach them because they have no need for your service then you’ll have to look for those in need of it, and that’s why you majorly see crypto related service here.

I believe altcointalk still run signature campaigns and bounties but it’s not as active as Bitcointalk, and most of the users there have migrated to bitcoin while the ones left are majorly those that got banned from Bitcointalk and now engaged in bounties over there.

I had to ask this, although I know someone here may have reasoned in line with this, having read something similar as a post thread or comments in any section here.
