It really feels like you've mixed up two completely different things and don't fully understand what your friend was talking about. Casinos have welcome bonuses, they have been doing that for decades now and it's nothing new. They only take money that you've agreed for them to take and have zero reason to do a credit search, because they are not giving you credit - you pay these sites up front. In fact using credit cards on gambling sites is now banned in many countries because people spend but cannot afford to pay the credit card companies back (the casino have their money secured).
