Cant aggree, with 4 good GPU's u can get real profit in 3-4 monthes

Not any more. The price of Altcoins has dropped a lot recently.

but you can still do profit i see, one gpu earn you $60 now a month? still not that bad if you own a farm mining give you money while doing nothing, i don't know why people complain lol, before was crazy, one gpu was giving you $200 a month, totally insane and not normal

My rig with my 1080 Ti is giving me 50 euros profit atm. That's a ROI after 23 months!

It is quite long. After the ZEC price rise, you might have shorter ROI.

It is highly unlikely you would see any profit inside 12 months or more.  All these calculations on ROI fail to take into account inexorably increasing difficulty.  Especially at your electric cost, don't expect to be able to mine for profit in a few months.  The best possible scenario is you might get back what you paid in a couple of years but far more likely you will never make a net profit.

I agree with that. The difficulty will rise a lot in the near future.

Still setting up. Still have work to do.

Cheap but decent components. Most expensive component was the Asus GTX 1080TI STRIX graphics card.

I'll be doing some nicehash benchmarks soon.

All my questions have been answered. I'm setting up my mining rig as we speak. Thanks!

Glad to know that. Please, what are the specifications of the rig and did you get the parts on an online store? I am thinking of building a rig now.

You dont need to have PhD in programming to mine. Buy some GPUs, good PSU, decent CPU with rest of the equipment and you're ready to go

no don't purchase pre made rig, they are more expensive, and a scam, better to build your own rig is far cheap and it's fun, you just need a good MB 6 x gpu risers cpu ram and ssd, and you are done, see instruction on youtube maybe

Yeah I figured I would pay more. The only thing is I have 0 experience in mining and my hardware knowledge is terrible. The software part would be doable I guess.

You're going to be paying much more than you should on a pre built rig, plus i have no idea how they squeezed 25mhs out of a gtx 1060, best performance i saw was around the 22-23 mark and it was heavily overclocked. Better to build yourself a rig, maybe get a couple of gtx 1080ti on some motherboard you have laying around (or even buy a cheaper 3-4 gpu motherboard) and you should be ready to go. 2 1080ti should get close to 540$ mining zcash.

Hey guys,

Came accross this rig in a FB ad:
https://www.arcticsecrets.nl/zakelijk/nvidia-gp106-miner-level-1

Is it profitable? Is it even possible to break even?

Any tips/suggestions/thoughts?

Thanks!

Double the budget and you get a rig with 6 GPUs (in normal circumstance) or maybe less than 2000€.

I don't think this rig is so much profitable, it will take many months to reach the ROI but if you can try to buy a bigger rig with 6GPUs.

PSU is small but the motherboard is good which can afford 6GPUs which is good other parts are just fine.
