Please forgive my cynicism.
I was offered bitcoins in I think 2010 when they were 50p each.
I was tempted to buy £200 worth but had been just lost £200 to a ponzi money scheme so decided against it!

I have seem recent reports saying they are now worth £2,500

Are these the same Bitcoins?
So would I be able to actually sell for cash or money in the bank?

Sorry to ask, but I see lots of people saying they are millionaires but don't think I have seen anyone with the actual money banked.

I mean, my 400 bitcoins would now be worth £1,000,000 and I could actually sell them for £1Million less commissions?

You gotta see I'm sceptical.
Please tell me I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life?

Well, good news Sir/Mam. It is worth of more than $3k. But generally speaking, it is not easy making a million instantly, this still needs effort , skills and patience because on of the factors to be considered is time. With time, Bitcoin can worth more than a Fortune.

Well yes, if you have 400 bitcoins that you invested before when it was like small price you could have been a millionaire now but not really in money wise, its  in bitcoin. Still bitcoin is like currency now, you can buy anything online via bitcoin or if you want to convert or invest it in something else. There are things that you can do in bitcoin now, but the problem also is that if you actually invested some bitcoins before you would have sell it already when the price hit 1k or so.  So there are some other circumstances that can happen but you really missed the opportunity of that same as me I did learn bitcoin about like 2012 but I missed it because I was really not into it and I didn't care but at least now we are investing and trying to find ways to earn.  Wink

well you most likely did and it's gonna seem like a bigger mistake of your life in a few years from now since you could be a multi-millionaire. :p but don't worry, you're not the only one who's bashing themselves for not buying or holding btc when it was a few $.

Yes they are the same Bitcoin and yes you would be millionaire . Should you feel bad abut it ! definitely not because you probably would have sold your BTC once they doubled in money . Anyway it is still not late you can start invest in BTC right now .

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

We all passed by the opportunity to deliver a pizza for 18,000 bitcoin.

In life, in general, "don't look back, it's not a pretty sight".
Look forward, and if the OP wants advice,,, then get over it, don't let your ego and past determine your future and hold you back from prosperity.
You still may be a Bitcoin wealthy elite if you get in as soon as possible, at a investment level you can survive if Bitcoin fails.  Just a couple dozen dollars or pounds a month might do it, seriously!

It is not too late, but it takes strength to HODL.  Bitcoin is still just at it's infancy level.

You can start investing now, before you regret it a second time.

Not at £2,500 per coin I can't!!
That's the point.
I can see why you guys want people to keep buying though.

Just to make it clear I didn't buy them but I am gonna buy a gun.

But I guess your right, I would have sold them anyway when they got to £100+ in 2013ish so it's pointless beating myself up ain't it?
Now where's that gun?

What is Bitcoin2x then?

I would stick with Bitcoin. You can also start trading Altcoins with your spare money.

I can confirm that you did a big mistake...
Probably not though...

I mean, if he had indeed bought those Bitcoins back then, he would have probably sold them anyway when he got around 5x return on it or a little bit more.
I think there are very few people who could resist the temptation to sell, once their investment goes over x5 or x10 returns.

There is nothing to worry because you just did not miss anything ,even if you purchased it you would have sold everything when it crossed $15 or $20 ,so the idea of loosing a million dollar dream is just a dream and most of the people just dream that they missed out when it was open to the public and they were simply not interested in buying it then. It's true, but you said "I decided against it" so that means you did not buy 400 bitcoins. So yeah, you just did make the biggest mistake in your life. You would have gotten a million euros. Well, we all have our own luck. The problem is that back then nobody really knew bitcoins will reach this level so no shame in that. Who would have guessed that it would reach this price.

I won't blame you, we have plenty of such people.

10) Last but not least, who the hell is stupid enough to pay $5.00 now for a bitcoin?

I believe that not everyone has the same vision and that's what makes SOME people different and successful than the rest of us. I request early adopters to allow me to enter in their 'Stupid Investor's Club'.

Please forgive my cynicism.

We will, will you?

Simple answer to your question is yes you just missed the chance to be a millonaire in just 7 years. You lost 200 euro in ponzi and missed this golden opportunity but if you don't want to miss another chance to become millionaire within next few decades, than start investing in other altcoin along with bitcoin.
Good luck, we all are investing in crypto to become millionaire in few decade.  Wink

I believe it. Having 200 bitcoins and then just remembering you had them by now knowing that you are basically a millionaire. But are you really? Yes and no, depending on who you ask. And should you sell?
I say no, not yet.

Do research into other crypto projects and invest in them to greater those bitcoins.
You have a lot, and could manipulate a market that's low, P&D or out right invest into multiple markets that you believe could serve good for this world.

Or you can cash out, buy a mansion, exotic car, and all the woman you want Tongue

You didn't need to cash out, we sell our coins high and buy back lower and we keep a little something from the trade, you never sell all the coins.

The purpose of bitcoin is precisely not to have the necessity of 'money in the bank'.

BTW, the meme above is very old.
