Jose Mourinho is a manager that likes competition so the match between Roma and Napoli will be very interesting. Currently, Napoli is ahead of Roma in the league table as they occupy the 6th position with 27 points while Roma stand in 8th position in the league table with 25 points so considering the fact that Roma is playing at their home ground will give them more advantage to win Napoli and Napoli will also want to impress their fans after they lost their Coppa Italia match against Frosinone during the mid-week so definitely, this game between this both clubs is really difficult to predict.

The elite teams are in the top 10, that's true but I didn't really see anyone of them being severely in danger. Lazio had huge struggles this season, but I wouldn't be afraid if they could end up fighting against relegation. But they are not in good shape and will have a hard time to climb up the ranks.

AC Milan isn't having their best days. This is again points wasted as the can't make use of their dominance and turn it into three points after they started so well into the season. The efficiency is gone.

When I see Roma situation in the table



I see that Mourinho will hardly renew his contract with Roma, I honestly don't see Roma evolving even though they have good players, they are worse than Fiorentina, they are worse than Bologna, they are worse than Atalanta. It's difficult to understand why Roma has had such low results despite having a good squad. Roma's attack has been very inefficient in many games and Roma's defense is a complete disaster. If there are no major changes, then Rome will be doomed to failure. I don't know what Mourinho has thought to change this current scenario, but Roma is not doing well. despite having some important players injured, they should be able to at least get into the top 4

I say this, because this season Milan is a disaster, Napoli too, so at least Roma could be in the top 4 fighting for a better position. but roma is very far from the level of inter, juventus, napoli, milan, fiorentina, bologna. which is very sad, I don't know if it's not Mourinho's fault for not getting good results. But it seems to me that if things don't change, then eventually the Roma management will have no choice in letting go of Mourinho. That's the crux of the matter, the players still possess enough quality to compete in the league, but now everyone believes it is all about Spalletti who left the club. This season will also not be easy for Napoli in terms of getting a top four place even though Napoli will try hard to get that this season. Empoli was playing slightly better than Lazio because they were taking innitiative to playing attacking since the beginning of match but indeed i have to says Lazio goalkeeper Provedel was performing well because he was made several crucial save which make Lazio defensive lines is not conceding goals until end of this match and actually before this match i was slightly doubt Lazio can able to beat Empoli because previously Lazio away matches records was quite poor but seems this time Lazio can able to bounce back and collect 3 points from this match

For other match Milan was gets disappointing result today because they only can get draw result from weak team Salernitana and actually Milan was very dominate the game and during the match they got several opportunities to scores but i have to says Salernitana players were playing with very discipline even Salaernitana almost win this match before Luka Jović can appears as super subs and equalized the scored at the end of second half so Milan have to satisfied to get 1 point from this match

This season under former manager Rudi Garcia, Napoli started the season on a very poor note and that's made it very difficult for them to be considered as one of the strongest contenders for the Italian scudetto. In their recent games, Napoli has improved their performances as they've been getting good results hence the sudden media hype of their ability of still winning the league at the end of the season. I don't think it'll be possible for the team to win the league title this season rather I believe they can manage finish the season in the top four in other to be able to play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season.

One quick goal from Matteo Guendouzi slightly changed the way Lazio played I mean, they just need to maintain their lead and try to play more defensively that's why Lazio wasn't too aggressive in this match. On the other hand, Empoli as the home team certainly wants to try to catch up so they played all out and kept pressing but unfortunately Lazio knows how to anticipate it. Regarding Salernitana vs AC Milan yeah it's a bit disappointing for Milan fans because AC Milan is considered to have wasted an opportunity against a weak team like Salernitana and Milan should be able to win easily because they are at a better level but this kind of thing is normal in Serie A especially Milan is not one of the candidates for the title so they will play without ambition except to stay in the champions league zone. On the other hand, Salernitana was a little relieved because they got 1 point and they could still continue their struggle to get out of relegation.

This really deserves 2 merits although I don't give out merits very often. But I have a lot of them left. Since finally someone agrees with me I thought it is time to hand some out. Everyone is entitled to their own points of view and I would even merit a post if I tend to disagree, but it is well explained. But this talk about teams to lose focus when they play the best matches possible in professional football, I don't get it. ItÄs like saying that Klitschko will lose every fight because he was too focused to get to the top that now he isn't as focused anymore and instead distracted. lol -> I know he is retired, no worries!

I am fully convinced that players who play in all tournaments, who feel they can beat everyone, who play the most games because they are in all competitions, will get the best out of themselves. Even more than players that play less games with more recovery. Do you remember when Napoli began to lose games last season? It was when they lost this unbelievable fight with Milan in the Champions League. Then they lost focus in the league because it extinguished some of their inner fire. So people around here, it is the other way around! The harder a football player's life, the stronger they compete! The harder the upcoming box fight, the harder the training and the higher the focus.

Realistically, their chances of winning the league this year are quite low. This year, they will fight to finish the league in the top four places without winning the Scudetto again. I interpret this performance in Napoli this year as quite disappointing. At the end of the year, they will probably part ways with most of their players and return to the Napoli image of trying to finish at the top of the league.

That counter attacking football to the first goal was damn beautiful, iv seen that goal for more than three times now this evening. You could see how selfish the player was to set up his mate for that goal. Even the fans was happy to see that goal. Genoa tried to fight back to score but it wasn't a easy task. Genoa players kept the  Sassuolo keeper quite occupied and busy.
Genoa pressured hard to score goals regardless but Sassuolo held the first half until the whistle was blown.

I still don't think that the penalty given wasn't well rewarded or awarded. But that was a good spot kick taking decisions to level things up. Some defenders and defending errors though tonight led to Genoa winning the game.
It was good and lovely to see them celebrating with the fans.

It is December but Inter almost already won the title at this point.

AC Milan threw away 3 points in today match because they couldn't beat the bottom team in the standings. There is nothing interesting with AC Milan this season, they are not too focused on what they are aiming for in Serie A. They lost full points in today match due to their unstable play after leading 1-0. I think AC Milan is not a team that is competing for the Scudetto this season.

Salernitana was able to play better than Ac Milan. Salernitana even put AC Milan behind after successfully coming back with goals scored by Fazio and Candreva, but in the final minutes, AC Milan managed to score another goal which made this match end in a draw.  good results for Salernitana but not the results that AC Milan wants.

The match is very tough because Milan almost lose the match because they conceded a second goal before Olivier Giroud score the equalizer for Milan in 90 plus minutes. Milan performance is not as consistent as Inter Milan and Juventus that is why they are nine points behind Inter Milan. they are also not playing as a team that is competing for the Seria A title because they are not reliable anymore since they couldn't make it to the Champions League round of 16, and today again they almost lost to bottom table team that has won just one match so far since the beginning of the 2023/24 Seria A campaign; they need to improve in order to challenge for the title.

The game has just finished by a 2-2 draw. It is really unbelievable that Milan lost two points in the easiest game in their fixture. Salernitana even got ahead by 2-1 and could have really won the game as well. Jovic's goal was a life saver for Milan there in the 90th minute. I don't know how Milan couldn't beat even the last team in the standings. 

They aren't competitive for the league title this season that's for sure. Juventus and Inter will get away from them more by this week probably. The title competition is very likely to be only between these two teams considering the performances of other teams below.
