Napoli managed to get 3 points over Verona in today's match and it is a very good thing for them considering their performance is now being highlighted especially the absence of Osimhen in the squad makes them more ogled but fortunately they can bring 3 points in this match.
Their opponents were fairly easy but to be honest, I was a little skeptical at first with Napoli's performance still erratic and losing Osimhen in the squad for the next few weeks is honestly worrying but they proved that they can win.
But indeed this still cannot be used as praise because they still have a lot of work to do. Raspadori and Giovani still can't replace Osimhen's role until now.
Osimhen is now one of the best strikers in the world because last season he played only 32 games and scored 26 goals, and in one of the most defensive leagues, Serie A. So it is clear that it will be extremely difficult to replace him, but Napoli still have Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who made a double in the match with Verona, and in total in 6 games for Napoli scored 6 points on goal plus pass system.
Of course it seems that the decision to invite such a problematic coach as Garcia was not the best, but as long as Napoli have Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, they can still win and score.
I did a quick fact check whether Serie A is one of the most defensive leagues and I found this for the season 21/22, but some other sources suggest that it is similar for other seasons.
"For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Bundesliga saw the most goals per game across Europe's top divisions in 2021/22. Germany's 954 top-flight fixtures produced a total of 306 goals at a rate of 3.12 per match.
No other league broke the three-goal mark.
Serie A ranked second (2.87) followed by the Premier League (2.82), Ligue 1 (2.81) and La Liga (2.50)."
This suggests that it is not quite true, but I guess your impression is somehow comprehensible because this picture of defensive Italian teams has been out there for a long time now. But of course Osimhen is one of the strikers who dominate their leagues and replacing someone who scores that many goals is never easy. But it is no different for Napoli that the day will come when they have to try and find a replacement for him. He won't finish his career there.
