It's not all about AS Roma currently mostly Italian clubs are facing finances problems which is due to corona and some other factors but sadly recently nothing positive happening for them which is also wired even in last season we have three Italian clubs in UEFA finals with all lost to their opponents due to poor quality there were expectations they will improve but sadly mostly due to poor finances are not able to have better changes Inter Milan and AC Milan are also teams which can do better, but both are also suffering from finances and ordinary players can't do things which are important for the better results you must have some quality players as well.

If they are not able to bring few improvements in their system then surely things can go from bad to worse because finances are currently important for bringing better quality players and having improvement into their performance.

although Im not a Roma fan but I understand Mourinho intention that he only wants quality players but in reality it is difficult to transfer quality players because Roma financial condition is a bit bad. it is not possible if Mourinho has to build a stronger team with ordinary players without having quality mainstay players so Mourinho feels burdened with this choice who must be responsible for improving Roma performance to be stronger to get trophies in big competitions while the players are just players who have no talent quality.

If José Mourinho wanted to exits, he would have done that long ago, even before anyone noticed. AS Roma has fantastic players on the way and an adequate expenditure for next season. The board feels satisfied with the outstanding job that the boss is executing, and they aspire to win the Scudetto someday, as Napoli did last season. José Mourinho has been unable to win big trophies for the club simply because AS Roma has failed to fulfill the needed challenges. Whatever situation José Mourinho found himself in, he always had the choice to go.

I am not sure about it.

From transfermarkt.com data for AS Roma transfer in 2023 - 2024 season, they have many players returned to their club after end of loan contracts. They only have three new players so far, two players are free transfers and one player is from a loan.

They have yet paid any amount of money for transfers in this summer and with one month left, it's impossible to see Roma spends too big transfer money. Three players they have gotten so far from this summer transfer are: Ndicka, Aouar (free transfers) and Kristensen (a loan).
