I don't say it is a safe gap for AS Roma but at least, they can hold their third position at least one more week day without any risk of take over from AC Milan.

Not only Inter Milan but also Juventus are very likely to lose their chance to participate in top four. Juventus hope is over and they will have to focus on Europa League. They won Benfica 1 - 0 in Turin and will have to get a draw at least in Portugal to join semi final stage of Europa League.

They won their last Serie A game like six weeks ago, but for some reason they beat Benfica in the first leg. This is odd and I think it is quite some time ago that I saw a team performing so bad, but still being in the champions league and still top five in the Serie A. In the last five games there is only one team that was as bad as Inter and that was Lecce. Additionally they are still in the Coppa as well and the result wasn't too bad in Turin either! Cheesy

Now they are losing game after game but perform decently in the other competitions. It must be a touch decision for the management to stick to Inzaghi, but what are you going to do when you can still win two titles but play bad in the league? You can't even sack him... Cheesy

Yes maybe not a lucky day for Juventus they should have been closer to Atalanta but sadly not they missed this opportunity
maybe because Juventus is more focused on European competitions? so the coach doesn't push the players too much.

But indeed this is still quite profitable for Juventus because several of the clubs above, especially for Inter and Milan, they did not stay away considering the results achieved by several big clubs this week were not very good and only Roma and Lazio got 3 points.
Their main focus is still the Europa League so it's actually possible for them to play like that especially with a squad that is mostly a reserve player for them.

Sassuolo game was supposed to be the easiest in the second half of April. There was some top players that started the game and others that joined later, yet Juve lost 3 points and will risk playing in European competitions next season.
So next game in Europa League against Sporting (2nd leg). Juve have a small advantage + playing away. Next, Serie A match vs Napoli then Coppa Italia vs Inter which will make things even worse for the main squad unless they count to sacrifice Coppa Italia!

Roma did a really great work today by beating Udinese. It was a comfortable win by 3-0 as well. I was doubting them a little because of having a rematch in the Europa League. But they still kept their focus on and finished off Udinese. Udinese are really far away from their look at the first times of the season. They were fighting for the lead then but now they are in the middle of the standings.

This is good for Roma as they have consolidated their presence in top four more. I would love to see them in the Champions League after making a high effort.

Juventus is very strange because Sassuolo should be a very easy team to beat considering Juventus' strength is already good enough, but in this match they lost and disappointed many of their fans. Juventus have lost in the last two matches, and there is no chance for Juventus to get up and be in the top five.

It seems that indeed deciding to rest many players in this match did not go well for Juventus.

In the end another easy victory for AS Roma. As expected in this match actually. There were only a few games today. all of Italy is of course looking forward to this week in which both Napoli and both clubs from Milan will be active. It could go either way, but what is fairly certain is that Inter Milan will progress to the next round. That can't go wrong anymore, but crazier things have happened. I think there is little focus for the league at the moment, teams like Lazio and Atalanta could benefit from that.

coach of juventus is very strange, even when they play with all their best players they have been a disaster in attack, the only thing that has saved juventus this season and last season is the good defense, that way of playing of the coach of juventus was worse than the way mourinho played because at least mourinho last season didn't have good players in the attack so he had to resort to not very nice methods of playing like being concentrated in the defense, but then mourinho signed good players in the attack and today Roma plays very well that I even like to watch
