I think it was obvious from the player choices in the lineups that Napoli and Milan both were thinking of the rematch in their Champions League matchup. None of them wanted to risk their most important players in a Serie A match. This was the right call for both of them I think. Napoli were already very comfortable in the Serie A so they didn't need to risk anything at all. But it wasn't totally the same for Milan though. Because they need to get good results as many as possible to secure a position in top four.

But lucky them that Inter lost to Monza home surprisingly. I thought Inter would put an end to this bad series but it still continues. It looks like their mind is also busy with the rematch against Benfica in the Champions League.  Smiley
Yes, I see Milan and Napoli being very careful in tonight's game. They don't want to take risks because these two teams seem more focused on the Champions League. For Napoli, they probably won't waste any more energy in Serie A because their position is already very comfortable at the top of the standings. But whether this is true or not, I see that Napoli's overall performance is indeed declining, even though you only get one additional point but this cannot be done continuously because it will have a bad effect on the mentality of the players.

After being beaten by Milan 4-0, the mentality of the Napoli players immediately dropped and it was proven that the Rossoneri were again able to beat the Partenopei in the Champions League. I'm quite sorry that Napoli's condition is like that and Spalletti must take his team's condition seriously and not be too arrogant. Now Spalletti's task is to immediately restore the mentality and fighting spirit of his players in order to be able to win again.

Meanwhile, Milan can breathe a little easier after Inter failed to win at home. But Pioli also has to realize that his decision tonight to rotate several players was not entirely correct. Failure to gain full points is also very detrimental to Milan itself, because the top four positions are still very vulnerable to being taken over by Inter and Atalanta again. Moreover, Milan's inconsistent condition is certainly very dangerous.

At least ac milan was not losing but the competition to get into the top 4 becomes even harder for ac milan. Lost two points can be considered as big losses this time. Glad to see that ac milan was getting bad result. This may also give advantage to the napoli when ac milan will be playing away against napoli in the continuation of UCL. Osimhen will be going back again and it will be a disaster for ac milan. It seems like that napoli needs to learn from bologna about how to defense properly.
Yes, at least Milan didn't lose that match. By the way Inter lose, previously I thought Inter might be motivated to win, and with Milan draw results maybe Inter would be happy. But Inter more bad rather than Milan, they lost at home against Monza. I really don't understand why Inter in Serie A still haven't returned to their best performance. Napoli x Milan is still difficult to guess Sir, although Milan ended with a draw result today, but Napoli also draw today. Even, I think Napoli really bad in that match, they couldn't scored a one goal when playing at home against Verona which are currently in the relegation zone.

I'm not surprised with the results Napoli and Milan got because they have a really important game ahead in the Champions League against each other. However I didn't understand how Inter lost against Monza in a home game. They surely have a game also in the Champions League. But they have already captured a huge advantage by beating Benfica 2-0 away.

Therefore I expected Inter to focus on the Monza game completely and win it to finish this winless streak for many weeks. Winning this game was going to carry them ahead of Milan and maybe even Roma depending on the result of the Roma - Udinese game.

I think both inter and milan lost focus after their results in the champoins league, Milan result was better after getting one point from bologna stadium but inter lose to Monza wasn't really expected, they wasted a big opportunity to jump to the 4th place and they may regret losing 3 points against a weak team like Monza

Is better for them to be in the next Champions the next year over to going in the final this year and probably lose to Real or City.

Economically speaking.
Agree with this, they better have the priority to maintain their position than to fight and have to lose in the final because the conditions still allow for a major defeat.
Basically now City and Madrid are candidates and of course they also have to think about the semi-final with the derby with the biggest clubs in Serie A at the moment if they manage to beat benfica.

Well, even though Milan only got a 1-1 draw, but at least Milan is still better than Napoli who couldn't even score a goal. Also, if I compare the positions of Bologna and Verona, it seems very clear that Bolgna is in the top ten and Verona is in the relegation zone, but Napoli still failed to beat Verona..

I don't know what happened to Napoli, they haven't looked too good recently, is it because they have achieved their goal in Serie A? Looking at the match statistics, I was also surprised because they were even outperformed by Verona in terms of Shot on goal, what a mess, playing at home but unable to even win with a score of 1 - 0.
Napoli's performance became chaotic and decreased after several of their mainstay strikers suffered injuries, namely Victor Osimhen, Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori. And what amazes me is that the Napoli coach and players are really too dependent on them, especially on Osimhen. even last season when Osimhen had a head injury if I remember correctly. at that time Napoli became chaotic.
but fortunately Osimhen seems to be recovering and can play again with Napoli in the second leg of the Champions League. but still the 0-0 result against Verona was really too disappointing. as if other players in Napoli can't do much without their mainstay strikers.

something surprising also happened to Milan who were also held to a draw by Bologna. and the most disappointing is Inter Milan who had to lose to Monza. this is the worst.

Napoli hasn't had it in the last games. Can we still speak of an incident? Perhaps in the most important period of the year they drop a lot of stitches and miss points. Not nice in view of the onfrontei with Milan in the Cl soon. But in the competition it makes little difference to Napoli. Iner and AC Milan have both proven themselves bad by not winning, which means that a Cl ticket suddenly seems to be a long way off, especially for
AC Milan. So maybe there is still some hope for Juventus after all?

In the Bologna-Milan match, bologna scored in the first minute but left the match with a draw.Although the match was in the middle, it was milan who had more scoring positions.Milan scored in the last minutes of the first half and equalized the situation. With the defeat of Inter, we can say that it was not very important to lose points from this match.Bologna is a difficult opponent for milan and milan should be happy to get a draw from this away game.

Incredible, Inter lost with Monza.

Again it is a race for between Milan and INTER to be stay out form the next Champions League.

If Inter win the Champions League and Milan finish second then both clubs will be there. The question is, can Inter do it? When I look at their stats in Serie A, I wonder how they got so far in the Champions League. The bookies are now giving their odds at 1 to 8, a rather modest estimate given that Inter are on the easy side of the road to the final.
Conditions for the current Semi final for Inter still looks quite real but when talking about the champions it is still a little complicated because besides the semi final they will face the Derby also with a team in the same league on the other hand for the chart on the other side it is still a little complicated because Of course now Manchester City and Madrid are strong candidates for the other side for the final which makes me very doubtful even for the semi final also I'm actually still fifty-fifty with Inter.

Both teams continue to get results that will put the champions league at risk. It was a pretty bad game, with Milan only able to score one point. What happened to the team that scored four goals against Napoli last week? Very unstable this season Milan is the same as Inter. Today, all the favorite teams lost points. There were unexpected results this week.

I don't think its because they've achieved their goal that's why they are out of form because technically speaking they have not won the league. Their out of form can be traced to the unavailability of Victor Osimhen. They now struggle to score goals these days. Napoli need to fix up and find another alternative to their problem.

Inter tried to score goals by being more aggressive in their attacks. but unfortunately out of 25 shots, none of them became goals. Monza took the lead and then defended the information well. a regret for Inter who had to lose at home. Likewise for my bet.
but it will be interesting to fight for at least the 2 remaining tickets for the Champions League after Napoli and Lazio which I don't think will be overtaken. Roma, Milan, and Inter, who have a slight point difference, will fight for tickets. Milan has lost by playing a draw. and now it was Inter who had to lose. let's see if Roma will get a win from Udinese and stay away for 1 safe ticket.

I don't put Inter in my bets, not for them to win at least. They are too inconsistent. When you expect them to win they'll lose and when to don't expert them to win they win. That's how they've always been.
They will not make it to the champions league , except Roma slips up because I know Milan will qualify.

Inter Milan 0-1 Monza

Inter Milan's performance today against Monza was quite strange. In the last match against Benfica, Inter Milan players performed well. And they won the match 2-0. And so despite not performing well in the previous matches in Serie A, we expected Inter Milan to win today's match against Monza. But like the previous matches, Inter Milan is going to lose points in today's match.

Inter Milan trail 1-0 after 85 minutes. Luka Caldirola's goal in the 78th minute of the match gave Monza the lead. Inter Milan can't score despite attacking a lot. Now Monza is playing completely defensively. So it looks like Monza is going to win this match 1-0.

I watched the match, it was a good performance from Verona. I know it wouldn't have been like that,  but it happens due to some certain factors. we all know that Napoli is far ahead of their contenders and no matter how they loose, it wouldn't be to an extent of being kicked off from their position. But I'm bordered about Luciano Spalleti's new strategy. The idea of Benching significant players has caused Napoli to lose I'm]rtant matches. And this has affected their performance even in the Champion league.  Today's draw against Verona was a hard one to fathom.

Lately Napoli has not been really putting effort in their performance, I think this is because they already have enough point which will be impossible for other team in the league meet them up.  Napoli failure of winning some games in the italian league may be because of their upcoming games in Champions league.

[From the last few matches they have run the problem is still the same in terms of converting into goals which is their main problem.
There is nothing wrong with some of their games in terms of ball possession and the chances they have as well as this match. It's just that, they are still very bad at finishing which makes them frustrated themselves.

10 shots for this match and only 1 on target is proof that they are still very bad in terms of attack even though they controlled ball possession by 80 percent in this match.

Yes, their problem is about converting the opportunities they have into goals, but, hey, is the result of this match a reasonable result considering that their key players have not been played since the start of the match? I saw in the line-up that Osimhen and Kvara were not used from the start of the match.
