I wonder when exactly Roma are planning to start winning again. Because there has been a huge drop in their performance which resulted in so many loss of points. Mourinho can be blamed for this actually because of still adopting his usual strategies from old times. He should understand one thing especially that he can't be successful with it at every team. Of course there were good times of him in the past. But football is changing and he needs to keep up with new things.

As long as Roma continue to play like this they don't have a good future in this season. They would have huge difficulties in qualifying for the Champions League. Their squad consists of really talented players but they are just wasted by doing this.
Their performance cannot be ascertained because sometimes their performance is erratic at the moment, sometimes they play very well in one game but sometimes it's the other way around which makes it very difficult for Roma to keep them consistent.
At the moment they have lost a lot of points, especially in the last 3 matches because they were only able to bring 2 points and with that result they have been thrown quite far now and are in the middle of the table.

Yup, I'm also not saying they will be 100% unbeaten this season. However, Napoli performance so far is looks amazing, maybe they can still manage to keep their record in the upcoming 5-9 matches. If this is achieved, of course we will see the signs if Napoli will be the new champion this season. And we know AC Milan must be willing to lose Maignan due to injury while defending the French national team in the world cup, he may not be able to play in January this is a bad conditions for Milan, since Maignan is the key for Milan to become champion last season. Juve still needs to prove their consistency which they have recently regained after struggling at the start of the season.
Napoli is one step ahead in their pursuit of the Scudetto this season, but their challengers AC Milan and Juventus also have a chance of chasing points, given there are still plenty of games left in the second half of the season. The remaining eight to nine points are not an easy matter for Napoli's challengers to chase, but anything still has the chance to happen. If Napoli can maintain consistency, then things will be easier in the upcoming 25th week for them.

Juventus have a great chance to catch Napoli, because they have full concentration on Serie-A, while Ac Milan and Napoli are still playing in the Champions League, so their concentration must be divided into the two competencies they face going forward.

Napoli as a team and as a team is demonstrating incredible strength and cohesion
I honestly didn't think he could even get to first place and fight for the Scudetto like this, but I'm happy about it
certainly, if Juventus had been the first team (my beloved Juventus) I would have been happier
but rather than seeing Inter win Milan or Naples better

Napoli has done so well this season following their great performances in all competitions and their form in a winning streak in the league
and also maintaining the top spot till the International break so I believe with their performance they could go all the way to lift the Scudetto because they can beat any team they play against regardless of the club not even Juventus can stop them this season. About Juventus catching up with Napoli I doubt if that will be possible this season seeing the form of Napoli, Juventus may end the league as runners-up but they can't overtake Napoli to win the Scudetto.

It's hard to being an unbeatable in whole matches of season and during Serie A history only Juventus and AC Milan who able became the champion of this competition with unbeatable status but at that time these teams weren't gets strong contender which mean they are too strong at that time but Serie A currently was different even more competitive than previously because some of mediocre teams can possibly makes big teams slipped and in my opinion Napoli probably will lose once or two times this season but i think they can able to maintain their performance until at the end of this season so Serie A title almost certainly will belongs to them
Napoli's focus only has to be a champion regardless of defeat or not. I don't think it really matters too much, the most important thing is that Napoli win.
It's been too long since Napoli had to lose and last lost when they won 3 decades ago and at best they were only in position 2. Now is the right time for them to be able to bring back a trophy with a very big chance. Regardless of losing a few times or not later it doesn't matter, the important thing is they can continue to stay in the top position now.

Sometimes with the League break there are always some changes that occur when you want to start again, of course Napoli, who in the early half was proud because of the victory he achieved for his achievements, while when the league will continue, this is what Napoli needs to watch out for so that their consistency is maintained, but that all there is no guarantee whatsoever because the game of football is always changing in its performance.

Any club can get close to Napoli's points, it's just that Napoli's mistakes must be put to good use, especially Milan, which is in second place, not only that, the league is still long, meaning Milan is still wide open to catch Napoli.
I actually remember Napoli doing the same in the last few seasons, but they lost consistency when the league was nearing the end. So right now they can be proud of what they have got, but they shouldn't underestimate anyone even they have many points ahead in the standings. The only thing that is most likely is, all teams will try to beat Napoli and other teams like Milan will have the advantage.

So I guess it's okay now that they are ahead as title favourites, but maybe it's never good if the fans are too confident not to lose anything as long as the competition is still wide open.

Juventus are indeed doing great recently but I have big doubts about their chance to catch up with Napoli in the standings. To close a gap of 10 points, they need to maintain this winning streak as long as possible. Because it is already very difficult to stop Napoli. But this break might be the start of some changes at the same time.

Players will need to keep the same motivation at Napoli to maintain a perfect performance. If they do this despite a long break then we can just announce them as the new champions.  Grin

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Napoli have impressive performance at Serie A in this season not only unbeaten record but also managed first standing position behind 8 points from Milan, I saw many over confident with Napoli achievement until matchday 15 and too early when talking Napoli decision to win scudetto this season. I don't blame with Napoli success achievement at Serie A and still participant in Champion League knock out stage, but last season Napoli almost reach first standing position at the end league but inconsistency performance make it failed and Napoli just get opportunity with UEFA Champion League ticket.
That's what I mean about Napoli. You can trust them at the moment but usually when Napoli drop points they will lose even more in the next match. So far they have been able to maintain consistency and impressive performance in the last 15 matches, but there is no guarantee they will be able to do that perfectly because I think the competition will get tougher.

I still hope that Milan will be able to reduce the points gap with Napoli getting closer, meaning that Milan must win match after match so that this hope is really achieved. I think Napoli will make mistakes in the second half of the season, so Milan must put it to good use if they still want to maintain the Scudetto this season.

Compared to the start of the season, they are much better now. So their opportunity to continue to approach the leader of the standings is open. It's only true that they have a defense that needs to be improved even more. Their defense isn't quite ready to continue the chase if they can't improve on that position. to lose 22 goals in 15 games is something they shouldn't get for a team of their size. With that many goals conceded, it doesn't show that they are one of the strong teams in Serie A.
In last night's match Inter surprised their fans and tried to take advantage of the opportunities that existed to score a lot of goals until 4-0 without mercy. At least this victory gave additional good enough points to get into the top five of the standings but still requires effort hard to take first place.
On exhibition games like these it doesn't really matter if you win or not, or doesn't matter how many goals you score. These games don't matter and it's only for condition purposes. These games could be without viewership, and no tv, and just on practice pitch and could still be fine, all it does is to keep players in shape and nothing more.

I know people want these to mean something about the future and for the real games, but they have no results or impact at all. I know it’s going to be a bit of a difficult situation to be in, and I know fans would love to hear that their team is amazing, but this meant nothing, absolutely zero meaning whatsoever.

Juventus is in crisis currently because they are doing a total overhauling of the executive due to mismanagement. The resultant effect of this is that it will affect the team's performance in the pitch in the long run. To add to this, they have problems on the pitch with bad performance and some players not happy with the manger's tactics. With these they do not even stand a chance to go head-to-head with a more organized Napoli team that is built for the title.

It seems that everyone is feeling very confident about Napoli's title success this season, but I may not be too confident about that at the moment. Napoli are proving to be a very strong team at the moment, but all of that is not much considering that Serie A is still quite far away and there are still many games waiting for them in the second half of this season.

Milan have a really difficult work to do this season. The level of title competition has increased very much. They aren't as comfortable as in the previous season. Napoli are at a completely different level than the rest of the teams. They have been literally unbeatable so far and there have been many big teams among their opponents as well. It is really difficult to predict what team can finish their unbeaten streak now. Milan were also desperate against them even though the match was in San Siro. They also lost by 2-1.

While being in a situation like this it looks like a far possibility for me to see Milan retaining their title. Of course the rest of the season is still long but Milan or some other team can't catch up with them as long as they continue to make simple point losses against smaller teams especially. For example, Milan's simple point losses on the recent match weeks caused the gap to get much bigger. They don't have this luxury now I'm afraid.

I have seen how Napoli end season after season, they are a top team but it is still difficult to win titles. Right now Napoli are scary and very dangerous, but soon I think they will lose that consistency when their focus is divided on the Champions League and other important matches in 2023.

I know that Napoli's big plan this season is to win the Serie A title. At the moment things are going well for them and Napoli have the upper hand on the table with an unbeaten record. Napoli are absolutely great right now and will probably be just as great after Serie A restarts, but it's always possible to lose that best position in the table if they lose concentration and consistency.

I hope Milan will still struggle to reduce the points gap with Napoli when Napoli lose points in the next game. But for something, Milan is also not always consistent with its performance. That is the problem.
Nepali team's standard of play is very good. They can maintain the consistency of their performance. On the other hand, if we talk about the Milan team, sometimes they are able to perform well and sometimes they perform poorly. The World Cup is almost at the end, hopefully all the league games will start within a few days and the good teams will perform well.

I think Napoli's move to win the Scudetto will not be easy, they will get fierce competition and there are several teams that have the possibility to do that, AC MIlan, Inter Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, it is very possible considering the quality of these teams is not much different.

Honestly I wouldn't say no to a little more competition for the league title. I'm also one of the people who want to see a different champion - especially Napoli. The reason why I want to see Napoli for it the most is that it has been a very long time since they won this title the last time. It must be around 30 years.

This is their biggest chance by this very deserving performance. However if they finish the season early by pulling away from others more than suddenly the rest of the season can get a little boring. We would watch a great fight for top 4 certainly but I mean the title race.
Obviously this will not be easy for Napoli because they have to maintain their quality. They will also not be allowed by teams like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and others to easily win the title this season. Luciano Spalletti will have a more difficult task than usual because he has to really be able to keep his players mentally in order to stay at their best performance, he also has to anticipate more things that will destabilize the team, such as injuries to his players.

People who said Napoli are weak, maybe they haven't kept up with Napoli progress in recent seasons. They have performed well in several seasons, just they are still haven't been able to win a championship title. There are many factors that makes them fail including consistency after break/half season that may has been solved this season. However, Napoli performance this season, made me remember what Milan achieved last season. It could be that Napoli's unbeaten run from the beginning of the season until now is the right time of the success from team development they have done in the last few seasons.

It would be a perfect record if they managed to maintain an unbeatable record and it might just be the only one in Serie A history
Napoli started last season when they finished in the top 3 and this season they have continued to improve by continuing to secure first place.

If you look at the squad that AS Roma has now, then we will see their squad is better than last season, so they should be able to do their best and finish in a better ranking than last season.
They have a better squad than the past season on paper. In fact, some of their important players in the past seasons like Tammy Abraham, Nicolo Zaniolo and Pellegrini have worse performances than what they had in the past season. It drags down a general performance of Roma.

Quote
Moreover they have a good coach like Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho is important for Roma because he is very smart and well recognize weakness of the club. He has good plans for them to strengthen their squad and motivate their players.

Quote
They still have a lot of time to make improvements in all sectors which are currently looking weak. They are now in 7th place with not too much difference in points in my opinion, so they need to do it quickly before their points gap widens even further. 6 points away from the team that is ranked 2nd in the standings is a point that can still be pursued.
This season is long and there are lot of matches and time for Roma to improve after the World Cup 2022. From their 7th position to the 4th position, difference is not too big and they can catch up above clubs easily.

Dybala will be important for Roma after World Cup as he did not have any playing minutes so far and Roma can expect him to return with full recovery.
