Actually, I think Napoli good run of form won't last very long; however, I don't see them dropping much points in this first half of the season. They are pretty much stronger but they are still riding on luck too. Like in the game against AS Roma, they could have conceded several times before they scored. It is really difficult to predict Napoli won't score in a game these days, their goal scoring statistics is impressive too.

Lazio lost their top 4 chance by six points last season. But now they are on a much better run. They are even in the competition for the league title. They have the strongest defense in the league as they have conceded only 5 goals so far. They are one of the top scorers at the same time. It is a perfect season for them at least for now.

However the key is always consistency throughout the season. I wonder if they will lose their focus and start a bad form at some point. Actually they aren't competing in the Champions League. They are in the Europa League maybe but most of their concentration is on their Serie A games which is seen clearly from the results in both tournaments. ^ I'm pretty sure that Napoli will be able to hold onto their form from their last match against Sassuolo. If you look at their head-to-head stats, they seem somewhat similar, but over the past few seasons, Napoli has been playing far better football than Sassuolo. Especially this season, they are still unbeaten in the league which is an incredible stat considering the Italian league has become quite competitive nowadays. Compared to other teams in the league, Napoli has scored the most amount of goals in the league (26) while conceding relatively few goals compared to other teams as well. Only 2 teams conceded less than them. A sure win for Napoli in my opinion.

Their current achievement is still very good when compared to other big clubs but seeing from the previous 2 seasons it is also like that then it looks reasonable for now but it will be very different if they are still able to continue to be consistent in the next few games at least until the middle of the season. then maybe this will be a very good difference for Napoli because indeed if they stopped now it would actually just look the same as last season.

The fact that Inter are still outside the European zone in the standings means that Inter will need more effort to compete with Napoli. I sincerely hope Napoli can keep up this momentum for the remainder of the season. If you haven't noticed, Napoli has been at the top of the goal scoring charts for the past couple of years. They also play good football, but my issue with them is that at some point, it will seem like someone turned off the light, and they will start to struggle. They enjoy a solid start to the this season and are unquestionably the league favorites. Is there anyone who believes that Napoli and Milan will square off? Milan will be a difficult team to finish ahead of, therefore they shouldn't be underrated.
